My mum moved to Henbrook in January 2025. We have been extremely happy with the home. The standard of care is high, particularly for those with dementia. The staff are friendly and caring. There is a strong sense of community, which family members are encouraged to be part of. There is a good range of activities. Food is good, with different diets catered for. The facilities and furnishings are of a high standard. It looks more like a hotel and is a world apart from some more traditional care settings. I would strongly recommend Henbrook.

Originally my friend booked into Henbrook House for some respite care following treatment in hospital. A calm welcoming atmosphere and excellent food together with the wonderful facilities, impressed so much she decided to stay permanently. From the moment we contacted them, the staff have been amazingly helpful and very efficient in settling my friend in. Nothing is too much trouble and she feels safe, well looked after and happy.

My sister and I were looking for residential care for our mum and visited many care homes in the area. Henbrook House stood out because it feels more like a luxury hotel. All the staff are welcoming and the facilities are outstanding. Mum seems to have settled down to life in Henbrook and is enjoying the lovely food and all the entertainment. She also loves having her hair and nails done regularly. I'm very happy with mum's care and feel she is safe, happy and well looked after.

There were, however, some areas where our expectations were not met. Within the first three days, my father was dressed in another resident's clothing, despite none of his clothes having been sent to the laundry. We were also assured he would receive diabetic foot care during his stay, as we had cancelled his regular appointment, but this did not take place.
My father reported that while staff responded quickly to call bells, requests were sometimes left incomplete, with promised follow-ups delayed or forgotten. Finally, we had been advised he would be able to enjoy a full bath during his stay, something he has been unable to do for over a year, but this did not happen.
Thank you for your kind words about our facilities, food, and the care provided during your father's respite stay - your feedback means a great deal to our team.
We sincerely apologise that some aspects fell short of the high standards we set ourselves. The clothing and call bell concerns have...
As a regular volunteer at Henbrook House, it really is a wonderful care home. Each week I see how much care and attention the residents are given and see first hand the huge range of experiences given to them. The atmosphere is always calm and welcoming and I thoroughly enjoy my time with both the residents and staff.

My sister (M) who suffers with moderate Alzheimer's living alone in her own home and consistently refused home help, was initially admitted for two weeks as she was forgetting to eat properly and hiding her medication, which was proving a burden, distress and worry for us siblings, and two weeks respite was desperately needed.
Within a week we noticed such an improvement. M was smiling, joking and getting involved in the varied activities provided. With her medications being managed effectively, and the varied menu's weekly - eating properly, and engaging in social activities, M is now more active, laughing and enjoying life.
Towards end of first week, M said "I think I'd like to stay here a bit longer". M is now a permanent resident, and we are just so amazed, and happy at what a difference Henbrook House has made to her life.
We have our sister back, full of energy and "sass", so relieved M is so happy and safe. Henbrook has changed M's and our lives beyond expectations.
Thank you for taking time to share your experience at Henbrook House. We truly appreciate your kind words and are delighted that M has experienced the quality of care that we strive to provide for all those who live with us, every day. We remain committed to continuously enhancing the care and...

There are times in your life that are really hard and it is the people around you that help you get through. When I decided to put dad into Henbrook I felt guilty like I had failed in my bid to look after him and keep my promise to mum. The staff were amazing helped him settle, helped me come to realise I had made a great decision. Sadly today we lost my father, he chose to spend his last week at Henbrook not in hospital. Every minute of the last week the staff have showed compassion, support empathy and love not only for my dad but for me and my family. They have gone above and beyond. Today I'm not only grieving the loss of my dad but also of a family of staff I had known only 6 months but who had become an extension of my family and most of all friends. I will miss coming into the home and seeing all of you Thank you for absolutely everything and for the support shown in those final days.
On behalf of the entire team here at Henbrook I want to thank you so much for this amazing review. Dad was such a lovely man, always smiling and to get such heart warming feedback from you about his final few days is why many of us work in care. It was a pleasure to know you both. Please stay in touch with us, you are always welcome and we wish you and your family the very best for the future.
We called late morning when mum was ready to be discharged from hospital. The person we needed was not on site but called us back and made arrangements for a move the next day (new years eve) not the easiest time of the year.
Mums face was a picture of joy as she was wheeled through the door. We had been offered food whilst waiting.
Mum was exhausted but loved her room, she raved about the full English breakfast and staff made sure she had another the next day. Staff could not do enough to make her feel welcome.
Mum has started to join the activities, and we loved a picture on the social media group of her wearing a balloon crown.
Friday she entertained my wife with Fish, Chips, and Prosecco.
Henbrook is nothing like a an 'old peoples home.' It is somewhere between a care home and hotel. It is her home.

I enjoyed my stay. I was well cared for, treated with dignity and respect.
Very comfortable with staff who were very attentive. Plenty of interesting activities taking place. Good food and good social events for all to participate in. Being able to have my hair and nails done on site was a real luxury.
Thank you to all the staff at Henbrook.

We looked at a number of homes in the area and this one was just perfect for her.
The building, accommodation and staff are first class.
The important thing for us is that mum is safe, happy and taken care of and these are all taken care of here.

It was very hard & emotional to make a decision to settle mum at Henbrook House.
The initial telephone queries were reassuring and understanding & empathy was given.
The moment we walked in the door everybody was so welcoming, helpful & kind.
Henbrook House staff are happy, friendly & positive. They encourage mum to join in with activities & reassure her to rebuild her confidence.
There is always someone who will advise you if you have a problem or question.

The care staff are friendly and approachable and have taken time to get to know him.
The food is brilliant very high quality and being able to eat lunch here with him is lovely especially as we can no longer take him out.
The activities here have been great lots of events and music with the highlight being a miniature pony that Dad loved. He sees the puppy which comes in weekly and he looks forward to that.
The care staff have managed his complex medications well and have collaborated with the district nurses when needed.
I feel reassured he is safe and well cared for and he classes here as home. You can't put a price on that.
Thank you so much for your review, it is such a pleasure to receive such positive feedback knowing that your Father is happy with our home, i will share your feedback with the team
The food is exceptional and although Dad doesn't eat much, he really enjoys the food. My sister and I have had lunch with Dad a couple of times and it's lovely that we can do that.
One little negative point is that when I visit Dad after work in the week at just after 17:30, there is often no one on reception and I have to wait to be let in, and also when I take Dad out for a smoke we then can't get back in.
Henbrook is always clean, lovely and warm and is a very welcoming home. We know that Dad has everything he needs and can't fault the care at Henbrook
Thank you for your review, it is great to hear that your Father thinks of Henbrook House as his home, I look forward to sharing your kind words with the team, and will will continue to improve with the out of hours reception.
Her health, happiness & wellbeing has been improving week on week.
Every member of the team has contributed to making my mum feel welcome and happy with her stay at the home.
The gourmet food, healthy diet, group activities, medical care team, wellbeing program & the management team have all proved invaluable in the successful integration of mum into this wonderful home.
Henbrook's ethos of respect, empathy, support & care for all their residents is clearly heartfelt by all the team. They all go the extra mile to make everyone feel welcomed and part of a big family.
I'm looking forward to our mum continuing to enjoy her life & make the most of everything Henbrook's has to offer her going forwards.
Keep up the exceptional work Henbrook's & thank you.
Thank you so much for your lovely message. It means a lot to us to hear such kind feedback. We're so happy that your mum has had such a positive experience with us and is continuing to improve. I can't wait to share your wonderful comments with the team, they'll be thrilled to hear them.
A Lovely place with amazing rooms and ensuite shower facilities for every room, the entire place is beautifully furnished and very clean and very well run with amazing food with different places to eat and the staff can't be more helpful
Thank you for taking the time to review Henbrook House, we will continue to work hard and make sure we provide the highest standards of care possible. I will ensure to share your review with the wider team.
Hebrook has always felt like a 5* Hotel. the Cleanliness is outstanding. And the food is exceptional and meaningful! But what actually makes all the difference to us as a family is the entertainment!! This is on another level. Have singers/bands/ Children/ animals and days out. With a full itinerary weekly it's everything he needs. Interaction and socializing makes all the difference. We have seen a huge positive change in my cousins mental wellbeing and health.
I would highly recommend Henbrook for it's warm atmosphere and attentive staff.
Thank you so much for your wonderful review. I remember the first time he visited and it was obvious that he was missing the company and engagement he is now thriving in. A true gentleman, always polite and friendly to anyone he meets. We love looking after him here at Henbrook House and I will ensure your review and kind words is shared with the whole team.
After a little time to settle in, he has now thrived in the Henbrook culture and when I now visit looks the best I have seen in a long time.
As stated in previous reviews when you walk into Henbrook it does not feel like you are coming into a care home more a 5 star all inclusive hotel.
Dad has to take lots of tablets for his Parkinsons (17 a day) but this does not phase the staff who prescribe in a super efficient manner.
The food is excellent ( I don't think Dad has left a crumb in food ever!!) varied & portion sizes just right.
The entertainment team do a great job coming up with trips and activities with the schedule changing weekly and has things included for everyone.
However, the biggest factor is all the staff who are amazing, so kind and caring to him.
Thank you so much for your kind words, we are always grateful for feedback as it helps us to develop our home, it is a pleasure to share you kind words with our team
First class care which cannot be faulted. In many respects like a first class hotel The staff are dedicated and clearly enjoy their job. It is a real pleasure to visit and see the joy on the faces of residents.
Thank you so much for your kind words, it is always a real pleasure to receive such wonderful feedback, which of course i will share with our wonderful team
