Every week, as a childminder we bring a group of children to Henbrook. The children, full of energy and curiosity, engage in various activities with the residents - from simple crafts to interactive games and storytelling sessions. The children and residents have formed a special bond.
For the elderly residents, these weekly visits provide social interaction, with a younger generation. Many residents seen smiling, engaging in lighthearted conversations, and even helping the children with certain tasks. For those with more limited mobility, the amazing staff ensured they can still participate by incorporating seated activities or sharing story books with the children.
These visits have created a positive, family-like atmosphere at Henbrook House. The residents and children look forward to the visits, it's clear that this initiative is more than just play; it's about fostering connections that bridge generations, providing emotional benefits to both young and old.
Thank you for your kind review, we really look forward every week to our little visitors and i know how much joy the residents get from these interactions, you have been such a highlight to our weeks!
The care for the residents is exceptional, the home itself is the best I've seen and is the reason why I recommended it to a friend who has said the exact same thing. The visitation is great as family are able to visit and join in with daily activities! The activities are incredible and really enhance the residents wellbeing both physically and mentally. I am very happy and content knowing that my family friend is living here with extraordinary care and most importantly she feels safe!
Thank you so much for your kind words, it really is fantastic to hear of your positive experiences at our beautiful home, i will share your kind words with our team
My wife requires breaks from caring for mum and we have tried other care home providers and can honestly say that the level of care, the facilities and friendly "can't do enough for you" approach to mums stay is just fantastic.
Mum even asked if she could have her 80th birthday at Henbrook House Care Home and then a second birthday when she came home to us.
Henbrook said, of course and what, when and how many would you like
So mum had her brothers and there children (all in there 50's) on the day of her birthday and then another party on the weekend.
Mum has dementia and in her words " the whole of her birthday are such wonderful memories it's just a shame that dad wasn't with her "
Thank you all, from the care staff to the kitchen staff and everyone else involved.
Thank you so much for your lovely review, it is always a pleasure to receive such amazing feedback, it is always great to welcome your mother to stay with us! I look forward to sharing your comments with the team
The fact that I can visit on my birthday and have a private meal with my Nan has blown me away. Again this should be standard but just isn't. I am so happy that we found Henbrook House and that they were able to accommodate my Nan. I would recommend it - and I might just move in myself.

My mother went into Henbrook House Care Home for respite care in October 2024 and has been there ever since as she liked it so much. The staff are very attentive and Mother feels well cared for. The activities and the activity manager are excellent, putting so much effort into entertaining. My Mother is always getting involved. Any suggestions are acted upon and used as an avenue for further residents to get involved. The food is a high standard and all of the staff are friendly and work hard. The maintenance manager acts on issues very promptly and professionally. I am so pleased that Mum went into Henbrook House. I highly recommend it.

We never imagined having to put Mum in for respite but this home made the whole process so much less painful and really felt like she was getting the care that she deserves.

The very kind and well-trained staff are doing an excellent job looking after a friend of mine with Alzheimer's. She was given a great deal of assistance moving from her own home which made the transition as smooth and reassuring as possible. There is evidence of good teamwork between the staff and a friendly atmosphere in this beautiful home which is of an extremely high standard. Exactly the kind of place I would wish to live in myself, should the need arise.
Thank you so much for your kind review, it is always a pleasure to receive feedback and I look forward to sharing your kind words with the team!
The facilities, food, accommodation, and surroundings are five-star.
What a wonderful place, I couldn't wish for a better place for my mother to live.
We are delighted to welcome your Mum to stay with us, it is an honor to care for her and I look forward to sharing your kind comments with our wonderful team.
I couldn't be happier with Henbrook - it's the most amazing place for Mum to live. The staff are so kind and caring and nothing is too much trouble. On Mum's first day they not only looked after her but me too - a particular member of staff who was wonderful and incredibly supportive and said I should feel this was my home as much as Mum's - we were all part of the family. That meant such a lot. Since then I have been blown away by the wonderful activities not just for the residents but for the whole community and the food is just delicious. I've really valued being able to talk to the carer team whenever I needed to, they are on top of Mum's healthcare needs and I know she is safe. I can't recommend Henbrook highly enough.
Thank you for your kind review we are thrilled you are pleased with Henbrook House, and I look forward to sharing your kind words with the team, it is always a pleasure to hear people's feedback.
Although perhaps more expensive than other care homes in the vicinity, with so much included, together with the level of care, I believe it to be value for money.

Beauty salon which my aunt enjoyed and cinema room.
Trips out and activities for everyone of different abilities.
Nothing is too much trouble.
My aunt has dementia but she kept going on about how lovely the place was and the people, this obviously made her feel very relaxed and comfortable which was very reassuring for us at how she felt so at home in a different place.
I did visit every day as I live nearby, I was made so welcome.

Everyone is so very kind, helpful and supportive, really going the extra mile to ensure she settled in well and was well cared for. A very caring and welcoming team.
The standard of the home, facilities and food is exceptional, just like a 5-star hotel. The food is amazing and the chef is very talented. The home is spotless!
The entertainment is great! Mum has been out on more trips in 3 weeks than she had in the last 2.5 years in care. This is really appreciated and the trips have been great. One staff member is amazing and works hard to please everyone.
Really rate this home and thoroughly recommend it.
