Henbrook House Care Home always go above and beyond with regard to their service, the staff are always pleasant and helpful. The staff care for the residents with compassion and personal touches, from the moment you enter to visit, you feel like you are in a high quality hotel, the food is first rate
and always looks good. The cleanliness is also very good, the leader of the activities is always on the go engaging with the residents. I am so pleased that my mother resides here, I am comfortable in the knowledge she is well looked after.

Perfection. Couldn't ask for more from a care home. From the initial tour to day to day care, this is the best.
Excellent management team, carers, bistro staff, reception, and super entertainment on offer.
I like it so much that I spend most of my time there too.

My mum went to Henbrook House for respite for a week after trialling another home which was unsuccessful! Mum has got Vascular dementia and the care that she received was outstanding. The staff and super friendly and great fun which really helped, nothing was too much trouble and was actioned straight
away. The activities and trips out were fantastic as my mum loves to be kept busy.
The food is outstanding with great choice and quality, Mum really enjoyed it.
Mum also has had a lovely facial and shampoo and blow-dry.
We never imagined having to put Mum in for respite but this home made the whole process so much less painful and really felt like she was getting the care that she deserves.
Thank you so much, she will definitely be coming back soon to see you all.

The home itself is beautiful, modern, and welcoming. The facilities which include the cinema and spa are an added bonus!
As a visitor, the staff are so welcoming and we are provided with food, drink and everything needed to make our visits enjoyable.
As a resident, the carers meet my father's every
need and couldn't be more friendly and helpful to him.
All the activities arranged keep the residents both physically and mentally stimulated.
I couldn't give this care home higher praise!

The very kind and well-trained staff are doing an excellent job looking after a friend of mine with Alzheimer's. She was given a great deal of assistance moving from her own home which made the transition as smooth and reassuring as possible. There is evidence of good teamwork between the staff and
a friendly atmosphere in this beautiful home which is of an extremely high standard. Exactly the kind of place I would wish to live in myself, should the need arise.

My mother has been in Henbrook House for respite care for over three weeks now, she likes it so much she has requested to stay there long-term. The management and staff have been wonderful with her, kind, gentle, and caring.
The facilities, food, accommodation, and surroundings are five-star.
What
a wonderful place, I couldn't wish for a better place for my mother to live.

I couldn't be happier with Henbrook - it's the most amazing place for Mum to live. The staff are so kind and caring and nothing is too much trouble. On Mum's first day they not only looked after her but me too - a particular member of staff who was wonderful and incredibly supportive and said I should
feel this was my home as much as Mum's - we were all part of the family. That meant such a lot. Since then I have been blown away by the wonderful activities not just for the residents but for the whole community and the food is just delicious. I've really valued being able to talk to the carer team whenever I needed to, they are on top of Mum's healthcare needs and I know she is safe. I can't recommend Henbrook highly enough.

What a wonderful place with friendly happy staff. Fabulous decor, where every resident's needs are well cared for. Visitors are always welcome, with the Bistro being a great meeting point. The food is of restaurant quality, attractively presented and just the right portion size for my mum who spent
2 weeks in respite care. She was so happy and relaxed there, and is looking forward to her next 'holiday' at Henbrook.
Although perhaps more expensive than other care homes in the vicinity, with so much included, together with the level of care, I believe it to be value for money.

My aunt had 2 weeks respite in Henbrook House in June what a place! So lovely, friendly staff very caring and helpful, beautifully set out more like a 5-star hotel food is lovely too.
Beauty salon which my aunt enjoyed and cinema room.
Trips out and activities for everyone of different abilities.
Nothing is too much trouble.
My aunt has dementia but she kept going on about how lovely the place was and the people, this obviously made her feel very relaxed and comfortable which was very reassuring for us at how she felt so at home in a different place.
I did visit every day as I live nearby, I was made so welcome.
Thank you for her lovely stay.

My mother moved into the home in the middle of May and has been very happy with everything.
Everyone is so very kind, helpful and supportive, really going the extra mile to ensure she settled in well and was well cared for. A very caring and welcoming team.
The standard of the home, facilities and
food is exceptional, just like a 5-star hotel. The food is amazing and the chef is very talented. The home is spotless!
The entertainment is great! Mum has been out on more trips in 3 weeks than she had in the last 2.5 years in care. This is really appreciated and the trips have been great. One staff member is amazing and works hard to please everyone.
Really rate this home and thoroughly recommend it.

My mother-in-law moved to Henbrook House from another care home just over two weeks ago. The home is immaculate with facilities similar to a 5-star hotel. She has a lovely room with its own wet room. She has a view of the garden and a door onto a small patio where she can sit out whenever she wants.
Before the move, the staff were excellent in answering all my questions and showing us around several times. My mother-in-law has failing eyesight and the staff are very patient and caring, making sure they announce themselves clearly every time they come into her room and helping her to engage in as many activities as possible. The food is excellent and she is eating well. What has really impressed me is how all the staff, from managers and carers to the hairdresser and housekeepers, always greet my mother-in-law by name, have made time to chat with her and are doing their utmost to make sure she settles in and is happy.

My wonderful uncle moved to Henbrook House quite recently. He is extremely happy in his new home and looks so healthy and well cared for. The staff obviously adore him and most importantly understand him and his needs. His room is palatial and he loves his bed unbelievably not wanting to get up in the
mornings as his bed is so comfortable (he has always been an early riser). It's an absolute pleasure to visit him in such a nurturing environment.

I recently secured a place for my father in Henbrook House. This is the best decision I have made for my father's care.
I cannot fault anything at all within the home.
My father's care is outstanding.
After 2 weeks of being in your care, my father looks like he did 15 years ago. He looks happy,
well and clean. His legs have drastically improved. He's had Cellulitis for the past 6 months. His legs are now healed and he's able to remove his bandages from his legs at night. My father actually sleeps in his lovely bed at night. He hadn't slept in a bed for 8 months, before living at Henbrook House. My father is enjoying his food again, he's eating well. The food is of restaurant standard. It's appealing to the eye and tastes amazing. Thank you, Henbrook House. This is care that everybody should receive in their golden years. You also make family and friends so very welcome. Nothing is too much trouble. You are amazing.

My mother-in-law had for many years a great time in retirement housing. We realised that this time was coming to an end although she was desperate to stay where she had been. Sadly we got the call that she had fallen and needed hospital treatment. She was soon fit to be medically discharged but couldn't
go back to where she had been. We were searching for somewhere good and came across Henbrook House.
Henbrook House has only recently opened and the facilities are top-class. More importantly, all the staff have been excellent first in dealing with my wife and I with all the questions we had about levels of care that Mother-in-law would need and dealing with the fact that although she would put a brave face on moving it wasn't where she wanted to be. The quality of the place has actually made the transition much better than I expected and the lengths the staff have gone to make her welcome have been fabulous.

My mother moved to Henbrook House 10 days ago and we couldn't be more pleased with the care and attention that she has received, or the quality of the services and buildings. Henbrook House is a new care home in the area and it oozes quality. The staff have been fantastic - from the people that care
for Mum through to the people that have liaised with me over all the arrangements. Talking to the various carers today it's clear that they have taken time to get to know my mum and tailor her care to suit her. They want her to enjoy being at Henbrook and they gave me suggestions on possible activities that would enable my mum to feel more at home.
I have discussed a few of my own suggestions with the managers. I am hoping they will seek Gold Standards Framework accreditation, and I have suggested a better information brochure that's more suited for potential residents.
We are only two weeks in, but so far we are extremely pleased and impressed.
Reply from James Chandler, Customer Relationship Manager at Henbrook House Care HomeThank you for taking the time to leave a review. The feedback and suggestions from family are vital to ensure we are providing the very best service for our families and residents. I will be sure to raise your suggestions with the company. 2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 5.0 out of 5 from 47 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.982 for Henbrook House Care Home is calculated as follows: ( (547 Excellents x 5) + (10 Goods x 4) ) ÷ 557 Ratings = 4.982
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 5 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Henbrook House Care Home is based on 47 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 = 4
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 69 registered maximum number of service users is 13.8, which has been reached with 47 Positive reviews. Points = 1
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.

I am delighted to be the general manager of Henbrook House for Connaught Care collection in St Neots. From the Commission, this beautiful home and amazing team have gone from strength to strength with awards, community involvement and creating a wonderful home for our residents.

I have worked in the care industry for over 29 years, 23 of those years have been as a Registered Manager. I have worked in large services, turnaround projects and refurbishment projects.

I am passionate about delivering high-quality service to the residents in my care while building dedicated, passionate teams to support that vision.

I believe in high person-focused care, with the care home being led by the residents. My skills and experience will bring life to this state-of-the-art facility to allow our wonderful residents to live better and more extraordinary.

I discovered my calling in the care sector in 2017 and I haven't looked back since. I have gained a deep understanding of the challenges families face when making important care decisions.

I am excited to bring my passion and enthusiasm to Henbrook House and provide guidance every step of the way.

Building relationships is key to providing a strong support network and I am looking forward to meeting businesses, groups and charities in the local area.
