My husband has settled well, and I am pleased with his care. He seems to be happy, but with his condition it is difficult to tell. I know he does not join in activities, but I understand that he is encouraged to participate.
Thank you Carole for your review, we are delighted to know you are pleased with your Husband's care at Waterhouse Manor - he is a pleasure to support.
Mum came to Waterhouse Manor after leaving a care home ,which did not suit her. Oh my days, the difference has been amazing. Mum, aged 91 has dementia, but now she is happy, clean ,cared for, joining in some activities, smiling ,singing ( lots of singing) and settled into this lovely home. The staff are all brilliant and treat all residents as the individuals they are. Smiling, attentive and happy to help. If only we had found Waterhouse Manor earlier. Thank you for looking after mum so well everyone!
Thank you Susan for a heart-warming review. We are so pleased that you have seen such a positive difference with Mum being cared for at Waterhouse Manor. Your Mum brings joy and lots of smiles to the home, and she is a pleasure to support. Your kind words are appreciated.
My mother-in-law never made it to the home but we were preparing to send her there. The people couldn't have been more helpful. Answered all my queries, a show around. I knew a resident there who praised it highly. We had a date set for her to move but unfortunately she passed two days earlier. The home were sympathetic and send a lovely email. My friends and I used to meet the other resident weekly for a game of cards in one of their rooms and when he passed they offered us the opportunity to continue playing cards there. I fully recommend this home from the experience I had.
Thank you Pamela for a 5* review. We are so pleased to hear your positive experience with us. We ensure that prospective families, residents and guests are warmly welcomed with excellent service from their initial interaction with us at Waterhouse Manor. It was a pleasure to host your friends' card group in our home and hope you are all doing well.
Mum came for a last minute respite stay following a hospital admission. She was very anxious and was way out of her comfort zone. All the staff made her feel welcome from the minute she stepped into the building, giving her exceptional care during her stay. We can only say thank you to every one.
Thank you for your lovely review. We are so pleased that Mum felt at ease during her stay with us. Mum was a pleasure to support with us at Waterhouse Manor.
Mum very unhappy to have to leave her own home but within a couple of days had settled down at Waterhouse Manor. At the end of her stay she did say she was sad to be leaving! Friendly staff...especially Maisie.
Thank you for your kind review, Ian. We are pleased that Mum settled well into Waterhouse Manor. It can be an apprehensive time, staying in a new environment but we always ensure residents feel welcome, made comfortable and reassured.
Dad was very reluctant to go in a carehome and kept packing his suitcase to return home! Very distressing. Now a few months down the line he is settled and I wouldn't want him in any other carehome. Waterhouse Manor meet his every need and he is safe, secure & well fed with glorious food!
Thank you Lynda for your kind review. Dad has settled really well at Waterhouse Manor, he is a pleasure to support. We are delighted to know you are happy with your decision in choosing us.
It is a brand new home and the staff try hard to keep it looking good. Warm atmosphere when arriving. Encouraging to see a mix of younger and more mature staff. Male and female. There has been a number of staff come and go but probably normal within the care industry. Chefs do a good job within budget constraints, however visiting on a regular basis, the menus appear to be quite repetitive. Home appears to spend quite a high budget on decorations for events, which appears to me to be a little over the top. Overall, a happy environment which is positive.
Thank you for your feedback and for recognising our dedicated staff and positive environment at Waterhouse Manor. We appreciate your comments regarding our menus. While our menus operate on a four-week rotation, residents' choice remains our priority. We regularly gather feedback through resident...
Lovely rooms that are maintained to a high standard
Catering is very good and is adapted for individuals dietary requirement. Coffee & cake always available in the front reception lounge for residents and their visitors which is a lovely touch
Activities every day with something to suit everyone and always get the residents involved on speeding occasions The Easter celebrations were amazing
The care team are calm and relaxed and are clearly trained to deal with mums dementia and knows what support she needs
The care home is really community minded and makes sure they are supported and.kept up to date with what's going on in the community
After going through the transition of mum moving in November 2025 it was perhaps one of the best decisions I have made
Thank you Ruth for a touching review of Waterhouse Manor. Ensuring families feel welcomed, supported and involved is very important to us, alongside the care we provide for their loved ones. We are proud to support the community around us and continue doing this as we grow. It is a pleasure to...
The facilities are very nice. The main positive is the kindness and dedication of staff who have some difficult residents to manage and care for. The whole home is well managed and the integral teams work together to provide a supportive and pleasant environment.
Thank you Roy for your kind review. We work together across all departments at Waterhouse Manor and live our values - caring, supportive, honest, respectful and accountable to provide quality care for all our residents.
Since entering the building we have been treated with respect, understanding and consideration for our dilemma - i.e., my husband's recent diagnosis of dementia. From the first contact - a 'showcase' of the building, followed by an assessment of the local hospital, to my husband's reception in late January and subsequent care and nurture - both medical and social - I have been reassured that he is in safe and capable hands. The whole staff have been - and continue to be - welcoming and obliging. Thank you - we hope our 'relationship' may continue.
Thank you for a lovely review. We try our utmost to ensure the process of admission to Waterhouse Manor is a smooth one for all. We take great pride in creating a warm and welcoming environment for residents, families and guests.
I stayed at Waterhouse Manor for 3 weeks of respite care. My whole experience was very pleasant. I was warmly welcomed by all the staff. I had a lovely, comfortable room. The food was delicious, and I found the whole experience restful and comforting. If I found myself in the situation of needing full-time care, then this would be my choice without a doubt. The facilities exceed other care homes I have visited to see friends in the area.
We are pleased you had a pleasant respite stay with us at Waterhouse Manor. We take pride in ensuring our residents are comfortable, at ease and receive heartfelt care. You are always welcome to visit again.
I had a week's respite care at Waterhouse Manor after a hip operation. I was so impressed with every aspect of my care. The staff, the beautiful bedrooms, the dining rooms, and the quality of the food were all outstanding. It felt more like a hotel than a care home, and if I ever need full-time care, this would be my choice. The ambience of the home and its staff, do all they can to make the residents feel secure and happy.
Thank you for a heart-warming, 5* review. It was our pleasure to support your recovery, and delighted that you were impressed with the care and services we provide at Waterhouse Manor. You are always welcome to visit again.
Mum was made most welcome into Waterhouse Manor Care Home. There were some normal minor glitches when mum moved in as everyone was getting used to her and she was settling in. All our concerns were heard and acted upon in a timely manor. Mum has now settled in well and enjoys partaking in lots of activities.
Thank you Ann for your 5* review. It is a vast change to move and adjust to a new environment. We strive to provide excellent customer service and take on board feedback to ensure residents and families are reassured and supported. We are pleased to know Mum has settled well into Waterhouse Manor Care Home.
My mother went into Waterhouse Manor Care Home over a year ago. Before she entered she never spoke much and did not want to go out and about. A year later she is involved in every activity going. She loves living there and has made many friends. Due to her dementia she does not talk a lot. But the difference I have seen in her is amazing. She is the first to get involved in any activities going. She always tells me she loves living there. It is so nice to see my mum content and happy. The staff are amazing and always make us feel welcome. Going to visit mum is enjoyable. They have made us all feel very welcome as a family.
Thank you Debbie for a heart-warming review. Mum thoroughly enjoys our wide range of activities and we are delighted to know we have made a positive difference to Mum's wellbeing. She is a pleasure to support at Waterhouse Manor Care Home.
After the first 4 weeks it was clear that this was the best move for mum and she became a resident.
Mum was happier as she was having contact/conversations with other residents and carers everyday. She joined in with all the wide range of activities that they put on, from bingo, bakery sessions, walks, exercise, coffee mornings, quizzes, film afternoons in the cinema, visitors, the Christmas fete, valentines celebration, singers, entertainers, trips out and about.
The carers and staff at Waterhouse are a breath of fresh air. They are chatty and have got to know mum really well.
Her room is well kept and we have been able to bring in some of mums favourite things to make it her own.
The meals are healthy and eating altogether with her friends makes it a social event. We love visiting mum in a safe and happy environment.
Thank you for a touching, 5* review. We are delighted to support Mum and pleased that you have seen such a positive impact on Mum's physical, emotional & social wellbeing now that she resides with us at Waterhouse Manor - it is a pleasure. We take pride in the activities and services our teams create for the wonderful residents.
My mother moved into Waterhouse Manor in October 2025. Our family have been very impressed with the level of care that she has received at Waterhouse. All of the staff are so kind and caring. The activity schedule is varied and interesting with lots of fun, stimulating events within the home and also trips outside of the home. The Christmas fair was fantastic, lots of fun for the residents and their families. The home is always very clean and the food a good standard. I would definitely recommend Waterhouse Manor.
Thank you Julie, for a 5* review of Waterhouse Manor. We are pleased to know that your family are impressed with our services and care we provide. Your Mother is a pleasure to support.
I spent 4 weeks in Waterhouse Manor Care Home after a new hip replacement. The staff were excellent nothing wasn't any trouble. The food was very good, if I didn't like some food they gave me alternative. The room was very clean & comfortable, cleaned each day. I recommend this care home.
Thank you for a kind review. It was a pleasure to support you at Waterhouse Manor and pleased to know you had a pleasant stay with us. Best wishes.
Welcoming staff and immaculate environment. My Dad is well cared for. The staff are friendly and approachable. Lots of activities for the residents and opportunities for relatives to join in with. Would recommend Waterhouse Manor

Thank you Julie for a heart-warming review. I am pleased to know that we have created a positive experience for your Mum in her new home.
Mum needed respite care following a stay in hospital. Prior to this, Mum was adamant that she wouldn't go into a care home. Within days of arriving, Mum decided that she wanted to stay. Do I need to say more?
Thank you for a lovely review. We are pleased that Mum settled into Waterhouse Manor well and chose us as her new home environment. We look forward to seeing her continue to flourish with us.
