On entering the reception area in Leighton Rose you feel you have entered a quality hotel. The coffee area is a popular place to get a coffee and a cake for residents and their relatives. The lunch and dinner offering could be improved but I am told they are working on this issue - hence my 4* instead of 5* rating. Leighton Rose has been my mother's home since it opened last year. She now requires closer nursing care and Leighton Rose have handled the cross over from basic care with ease and efficiency. I would not hesitate for any relative who finds their loved ones in the same position as my mother, come and see what Leighton Ross have to offer.

Thank you for leaving this review. We are so grateful for the feedback. This allows us to continually review systems in place and look at what improvements we can make. I can see in your review that you refer to leaving a 4* for food, rather than 5* but you have actually left 1*, which I believe to be an error.

I came here for respite after a hip replacement operation. The rest did me a world of good and I could practice my exercises and get myself back on my feet again. The staff have been very helpful and friendly. My room was very roomy and bright making the atmosphere relaxing and comfortable. All together it was it was well worth the 2 weeks respite.

Mum recently went into Leghton Rose Care Home for respite and she will definitely be back when we need another break from caring for her. Leighton Rose is a beautiful, luxurious state of the art care home with excellent facilities. A big thank you to the manager, staff and the reception team for their excellent service and care.

My mother went into Leighton Rose after a nasty fall and spell in hospital. She needed to recover and be near where my father lives so he could visit. We had visited several care homes in the area and the warm welcome and lovely surroundings of Leighton Rose stood out. The nursing care was a very important factor due to her limited mobility and since arriving my mother has put weight back on and is on less medication than before the fall. She is enjoying some of the activities and having her hair done weekly in the on-site salon. Visitors are welcomed at any time of the day and can enjoy a coffee with her in the bistro downstairs. I feel happier knowing she is in safe, experienced and most importantly, kind hands.

My wife died on our Ruby Wedding anniversary last Saturday the 10th May.
I was with her and staff shortly before her death.
When LRCH was commissioned, it is clear there were many issues that needed to be addressed.
New management took on the issues that presented and were taken forward with action plans and with sensible protocols put in place. I commend LRCH and team of dedicated carers.
Faced with my wifes end of life care I could not fault the genuine care and kindness shown to not just my wife but me also.
The actions of the staff were exemplary.
I take this time to bring closure to what has been a very difficult last year.

LRCH has done everything I could have expected and more.

Leighton Rose is a brand new care home. The facility itself and the staff are 5 star. There have been 'teething' problems but we expected that we such a new facility but the staff have been very good in dealing with any issues and learning lessons for the future. The food and the organisation around breakfast, lunch and dinner could be improved but overall I would have no problem in recommending Leighton Rose as an excellent care home.

My Mum went into Leighton Rose after a fall and a period in hospital. She has dementia which makes it hard for her to settle. After a brief settling in period for both the staff and my mum (the floor was newly open) the staff have got to know her needs and treat her like a friend. It is such a relief to me to know Mum is safe and looked after well. She is encouraged to participate in activities which is of great benefit to her.

The management keep in contact with me when they need information which is reassuring. Very importantly her friends can visit regularly and are made to feel welcome.

After a short stay in a hospital for a serious lung cancer operation. I returned home but almost immediately experienced severe complications so was placed into another hospital for 2 and half weeks. I was then transferred direct to Leighton Rose Care Home for 2 weeks. I did not agree with this decision even though the home was in superb condition and my room was excellent. I have since found that during the two weeks that I have been here, the important thing to me has been the caring and knowledgeable help from people working here. Superb building and lovely people.

While on respite care I have spent the last 2 1/2 weeks in Leighton Rose where I have been made welcome by all the staff. The home is well designed and spacious. My room was large and comfortable with the wet room which is far easier to use than a shower. Food is OK but could be better. I would like to thank all the staff for the care and attention I have had.

Since my time here I have been made welcome both by staff & residents. Food main criticism special diets are kidney dialysis & diabetes. Chef has been given lists food needs to be more attractive by sauces & condiments on the table appropriate to the meat, fish. Activities I have welcomed within my abilities, others have refused to take part. Some staff are not easy to understand.

My grandmother initially went to Leighton Rose Care Home on respite but has since decided to remain permanently, as she has enjoyed her experience so much.
She raves about the food, the staff, the laundry service, the activities, and the proximity to town.
The staff are very responsive and professional.

It's brought our family such peace of mind knowing that she is safe but, most importantly, happy.

From the first moment we walked through the door we were made to feel welcome and confident that Leighton Rose was the right place for my husband.
He is bedridden and requires lots of nursing care. This is always given by lovely caring staff. The meals look amazing.

Thank you all for your care.

Leighton Rose is a recently opened care home. The management team is 'at pains' to ensure they have high 'visibility' and are always easily approachable to discuss any issues regarding the care provided. They excel at ensuring a high level of service and providing a welcoming and friendly atmosphere. The 'first line' care staff in daily contact with the residents are always very kind, helpful, and very sympathetic to the needs of the residents. The attention to detail by the medical team regarding the 'admin' and dispensing of drugs cannot be faulted and one can be confident that this important feature of the care in under complete control.

Having recently moved both my uncle and auntie into Leighton Rose I cannot stress enough how happy and content I am. Every need has been met by a team of experienced, talented and caring professionals.
The rooms are bright and spacious with an ensuite wetroom. All the hallways have furniture where residents can take a rest whilst walking. The dementia unit has 'stops' along the hallway, allowing residents to stop, rummage and amuse themselves in each area.
Eating issues with my aunt have been dealt with sympathetically, discussing with her suitable ideas.
Visiting is at any time, making it very useful for family members to visit even during meal times.
Call in and have a coffee in the bistro, look at the bedrooms, lounges, cinema, salon, gym, craft room, library and not forgetting the local tavern, yes there really is a pub! The activities are building up as more residents move in.
Every member of the staff gives 100%!

Leighton Rose is not just a care home, it is a family!
