We are very impressed with the care home. The building, decor and facilities are beautiful and maintained to a very high standard. The restaurant, cinema and hairdresser all help create a warm and welcoming environment, and the private dining room is especially lovely for family visits and celebrations. Sam in hospitality goes above and beyond making everyone feel special.
The staff are attentive and genuinely try to make residents feel at home, there is a warm atmosphere throughout. Daily activities are varied, some could offer more engagement. Caroline, Erin and Ellie have supported mum building her confidence and trust.
We receive excellent service from the General Manager (Jordan), front of house (Darren), who are always approachable, professional and supportive.
The only area where we feel improvement could be made is the standard of the everyday resident meals, which could better match the otherwise very high standards of the home.
Overall, a first class cate home.
We will ensure your feedback is shared with them, as recognition like this means a great deal to our staff. Thank you for your comments regarding activities. Within our...
Overall the team have ensured an enjoyable and smooth settling in period for my uncle. All staff have been excellent and attentive to his needs. Excellent amenities and service since his arrival. My uncle is very happy with his new home and the overall support he gets.
Thank you so much for your lovely feedback. We are delighted to hear that your uncle has settled in well and is enjoying his new home. I will be sure to pass your kind comments on to the team, who will really appreciate them.
The home is spacious, bright, modern and well appointed. Dad was very particular about some aspects of his daily routine and the staff were brilliant at accommodating these. His room is lovely - plenty of space, his own pictures quickly put up on the wall, and additional hand rails fitted in the en suite wet room to help with his mobility. Great to be able to open a window. Really friendly staff who make an effort to get to know him. Food took a little while to settle into a routine but this is working better now and he regularly reports on meals that he has enjoyed. He feels a huge relief and very positive about his move - we're delighted and very grateful to all the staff who continue to support him. Jordan (as manager) in particular has been excellent in communicating with us and my Dad, and helping to make things work so well. Many thanks.
Hi, thanks for the lovely feedback, we are all very glad the move has been so positive. We will make sure to pass this feedback on to the full care team.
It was a big decision for us to move our Mum from another care home, where she had been resident for some years. It has been an extremely positive move for her. In Mum's words, 'Everything is better'. The home has a relaxed atmosphere and is tastefully furbished in a style which reminds Mum of her own home. It feels more like a quality hotel than a care home. The staff are kind and caring and take time to get to know our Mum and what is important to her. Jordan the Manager is very present and impressively aware of what goes on in the home. Any concerns have been addressed quickly and appropriately by senior staff. Ellie and Jenna are particularly impressive. I've told my children that if I get to the stage when I can no longer look after myself, I would like to live there!
Hi, thank you for the kind words, we will be sure to share these with everyone. I am glad that having undertaken such a big move it has been a really positive step for everyone.
uses on a daily basis.
There is a calming atmosphere throughout the Home, which is beautifully furnished throughout.
The staff are very caring, supportive and treat my sister with respect at all times.
The Home provides a great variety of Activities so there is something for everyone to enjoy.
The rest of her family and I are relaxed in the knowledge that our sister is being well looked after in Northcare Residences.
Thank you very much for taking the time to share such kind feedback.
We are delighted to hear how well your sister has settled into Northcare Residences and that her room already feels like home. Being able to personalise her space is something we strongly encourage, so it's lovely to know this...
I cannot fault the care that my Dad has received at Drumby. He moved in after having to be hospitalised with the flu and was uable to return to his home. His illness had taken a severe toll on his health and he was a shell of his former self, but with the help and care from EVERYONE at Drumby he is now thriving. The building itself is a beautiful environment to live in, but it's the people who have made the difference. The management and staff have gone above and beyond to ensure Dad has settled in and have accomodated his specific needs to make his stay the best experience it can be. I can now go back to being his daughter, spending quality time with him in the knowledge that he is safe and happy.
We're so pleased to hear how well your Dad is doing and that he is now thriving after such a difficult period. Knowing that our care and support have helped him regain his health and wellbeing is...
Where to begin describing the care, standards and environment that Northcare have provided for Mum and Dad - and for me. We had a truly horrific experience with their previous care home leaving us stranded and without care. Northcare stepped in and went above and beyond to help us rehome and settle them. Many care homes will tell you they accommodate dementia patients without proper training which is not the environment that dementia sufferers should be in. The extra training in dementia support that Northcare have had is so apparent in how considerate, intuitive, understanding and kind the staff are. Very simple things like understanding how to create a really special environment for residents and family has such a positive affect for dementia patients that can last for days. In these moments I get the best of Mum and Dad and we all come away feeling loved and light. My Dad said the other day that he understood that the staff at Northcare were his other family. Mine too. Thank you
Hi, thanks for the lovely review. We are delighted the move has been so successful and your Mum and Dad have been getting on so well in this setting. We will make sure to pass this feedback to the full care team.
From the outset our welcome was warm, friendly, professional and informative. Staff have been excellent with any questions or queries.
After only a month our Aunt has settled in extremely well and I believe this is in no small part to the level of care and support that has been tailored to meet her individual needs. The surroundings and facilities are first class. It's reassuring and comforting to know that as a family our Aunt is in such good hands.
Thanks you for the lovely review, we are very glad to hear that the move has been so positive.
I have nothing negative to say about this care home. My mother has been with them a number of weeks now and they have consistently excelled in their approach and attention to detail. The setup staff and management all seem to be working as a team to ensure the very best care for their residents.
Hi, thanks for the nice feedback. We always ensure these are shared with the wider care team.
The environment is superb and spotless. Staff are friendly, professional and approachable. Always on hand.
Our mum does not have enough mobility to make full use of services and activities, but she is exceptionally well cared for and her whole family, pets included, are always welcomed by staff and management alike.
Hi, thanks for the lovely review, we are very glad that the move has been so positive, we will ensure this feedback is updated to the full care team

My Mum moved into Northcare Residencies followong a stay in hospital. I'm sure, like many others, she was reluctant to embrace her new home. However, all staff, without exception, have made her feel very welcome and encouraged her to participate in the many activities on offer. She is treated with compassion, understanding and respect at all times and has settled in well. She has a lovely relationship with many of the staff who all go above and beyond to bring a smile. The standard of the care home itself is exceptional and as a family we are delighted with the progress my Mum has made since moving here.
Hi, thanks for the lovely feedback. I am very glad that it has been a positive move after the period of time in hospital. I will be sure to pass this feedback to the whole team involved in providing your Mums care
This was the best experience ever for my husband who was very well looked after. When he came home he was more attentive with things that were going on and just seemed more interested which is great. I'm sure this was all to do with the attention and mixing with others all thanks to Northcare. As for me as my husbands carer I had a very good break. Can I make a suggestion as it was best I didn't visit it would be good to get some feed back from the care home as it is impossible to get any information from the person with dementia.I would have liked to hear how he past some of his time and if he joined in with others. To finish I am very happy I made the good decision to have the respite and especially to an excellent care home like Northcare and would certainly want to do it again.
Hi, thanks for this lovely feedback. I am glad it was a really possible experience, we will take on the suggestions that you have made.
I am extremely impressed with the care that my parent receives. All staff display excellent, people centred skills and values. The way they all interact with my dad is absolutely excellent. I am delighted that he is in this care home.
Hi, thanks for the review. I am glad to hear the move has been a success. There has been such a positive change following the extended time staying in hospital.
I have been very happy with the care my husband has been shown since he went into care. I feel all the staff know him well, exactly how he like his breakfast and all his little foibles. He is very pleased with the food and I am pleased with the cleanliness. He has been encouraged to take part in the activities.
Hi, thanks for taking the time to write this lovely review. We are really glad the placement for your husband is going well. We will make sure to pass this feedback to the full care team involved in his care.
Northcare has been exceptional and in their care of my husband, the staff have been extremely caring and nothing has been too much trouble. He arrived at the home in an unsettled way and within a few weeks has become a much calmer and happier person. The home has been extremely welcoming to him and the family.
Hi, thank you for submitting this review. We are very glad the placement has been such a success. We will feed this back to everyone involved in providing support for your Husband.
Overall I was very impressed with the care givers but it was frustrating to have to wait each time one needed the bathroom for an extra staff member to come, although I do understand the principle of working in twos. The home itself is immaculately kept, food was fine and overall a pleasant stay for respite.
Thank you for the feedback during the respite stay. Any feedback is always constructive and helps to improve the service, we have reviewed levels of assistance and will work to support clients requiring higher levels of assistance as promptly as possible. We are delighted that you have provisionally enquired regarding a further respite stay
My friend of many years has recently moved into Northcare Residences after a period of time in hospital which he found very difficult, the move has been great. Everyone goes above and beyond to do all they can, the environment is lovely and feels very welcoming and homely.
Hi, thanks very much for the really nice review. We will ensure the feedback is passed on to all involved in providing the support at the care home. We are all very glad it has been such a positive move.
My mum moved to Northcare following a lengthy stay at hospital. Since being a resident here her medical condition has greatly improved and staff treat her with dignity, kindness and respect. My mum has built up strong relationships with several of the care team and their knowledge of my mum's likes/dislikes greatly helps them in settling my mum during periods of restlessness. All the staff throughout the home are friendly and compassionate and allow myself and my sister to have peace of mind that she is being well cared for.
Hi, thanks for taking the time to write this review. This feedback is really appreciated, we are so glad the experience has been positive.
My Aunt moved into Northcare Residences after a number of weeks in hospital and has settled in well. The home is beautiful throughout and is furnished to a very high standard. Her room is a very good size, is nice and bright and is well appointed with good quality furniture and fittings. The menu is varied, the food is well presented and enjoyed. The overall standard of cleanliness throughout the building is very impressive. The nursing care team have built up a good relationship with her and I've been impressed with the good communication from them, in addition to the management team who are hands on and keep me well informed. The care is delivered in a friendly and professional way, which she appreciates. The monthly activity list is well organised and gives her a varied selection of activities on a weekly basis. We are pleased with all aspects of Northcare so far.
Hi, we really appreciate the feedback, we will ensure this is passed on to all involved in providing support to your Aunt, we are really pleased to hear that it has been a positive move for your Aunt.
