Overall Experience

My father-in-law is receiving excellent care at Hartford Court. Having lived with my wife and I for the past 12 years we looked at the prospect of him going in to care with some trepidation, however we were more than pleasantly surprised at the high standard of care provided.

His particular needs are always addressed in good time and result in a practical and positive outcome. Staff are very attentive and engage with him on a 1 to 1 basis and every effort is being made to maintain his dignity and identity at a difficult stage. I would have no hesitation whatsoever in recommending Hartford Court to anyone considering residential care. The quality of service at Hartford Court stands out as an example of good care at a time when much bad press is published in the mass media about the residential care sector.

Many thanks to all hard-working staff in taking exceptional care of my father-in-law at a sensitive stage of his life.

My mum is well-looked after.
The staff ensure she has the best care considering her mental condition.
They are excellent at keeping me informed about things which is good as I am a distance away and this is always reassuring to know that she is being looked after so well.

As far as I can tell, my mum feels safe here and has the best quality of life as possible given her condition.

The home is light, spacious with wide corridors and tastefully decorated.
The carers are hardworking, almost always active and responsive to needs of clients.

Activities are numerous and varied.

I feel very pleased to have got Mam a place in this care home. I visit nearly every day and always found that Mam is well presented and happy. it has a lovely atmosphere - the staff are happy, friendly and nothing is a problem. I'm kept well informed of Mam's medical conditions and the staff act very quickly when they think doctors and nurses etc are needed. The food looks lovely and regular drinks and eats are offered. Would definitely recommend.

Walking into the care home I knew it was the one for my mother - very welcoming and clean. The manager took time out to speak to us and was so helpful. Everyone at the home spoke to us and was so helpful. My mother has to have another operation and if it does not go well I would certainly want her to have the chance to stay there. I have already recommended this home to my friends who have elderly relatives. When I come home I have no worries for my mother's care or safety.

I cannot speak highly enough of Hartford Court and the care they gave my father and also for the support they gave the family. Dad was more engaged with life during his eight months at Hartford Court than he had been in the previous eight years. Thank you.

My father has just moved into Hartford Court, we were a little worried about how he would settle in.

We needn't have worried, dad loves it, he eats everything, the staff are very attentive and I feel happier that he is in a safe and secure place.

My mother in law visited Hartford Court for a weeks respite care. She was treated with the upmost respect and her care was excellent. All the staff and carers were very friendly and caring towards her. Her room was clean and comfortable and in her words "she had a lovely time". She has lived with us for 23 years and we are always anxious when we have to leave her in the care of others but I think she is quite looking forward to her next visit. Many, many thanks.
