My mum is resident at the home and I would just like to put in writing how grateful myself and my family are in these very difficult times, the care she is receiving at the home. A huge thank you to all the staff. Take care.

My mother has been a resident for 18-months. Staff very friendly and helpful. Activities visibly for those who wish to participate. Caring staff all around who go out of their way to help/assist in any way, treating with dignity and respect. No complaints at all.

Dad has been at Hartford Court since November 2018, becoming permanent in May 2018. It took a while for him to settle there, probably due to his worsening dementia, but he is looked after very well, which gives his family peace of mind.

Generally, the staff at Hartford Court are very experienced, which ensures that Dad is cared for in a good way. Local doctors are also very good. Sometimes Dad's personal hygiene is not so good, but I understand his dementia contributes to this and it can be difficult to control for his carers.

HC One took my dad when he was at his lowest both mentally, physically and emotionally.

They were caring and supportive, my dad loves it. He is now eating the lovely food they give hime and loves the carers. They help him, talk to him and care for him. He has made friends and loves his room. I can never thank the home enough for the support we have received with my dad. I would recommend them to anyone and everyone.

My Grandma has been very well looked after since arriving - although she has been very reluctant to join in/come out of her room. Staff are very friendly and welcoming.

Carers always receptive to my wife's needs. If she wishes to be left then she will be left until such time that she needs their attention.

Whatever the obstacles they seem always to be ready to respond. Nothing and no one is perfect but the carers and staff always seem to be doing their best.

Overall Experience
My mum has been a resident at Hartford Court for a number of years and the care she has been given during this time has always been second to none. I visited a number of care homes before choosing Hartford Court and none of them came close to offering the same level of warmth, cleanliness, comfort and quality of food.
Staff are incredibly dedicated and make a point of getting to know residents (and their families), learning their likes and dislikes, and going out of their way to make it as homely as possible. Visitors are welcomed and it’s even possible to enjoy lunch at the home - the food is always tasty and alternatives are offered if nothing on the menu takes the residents’ fancy.
The rooms are immaculately maintained and the housekeeping staff always ensure the place is clean, fresh and tidy. Residents can take part in a number of activities and enjoy day trips to a variety of local places.

I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Hartford Court to friends and family.

Initially, I had concerns regarding my father settling into the home and his relationship with other residents.

Throughout his time, however, he has settled down well and is very content with his surroundings and the care he receives from the staff.

The care my mother-in-law receives is very good. The care staff in Grace Unit are second to none, my mother-in-law has been a resident for nine years and as a family, we are satisfied with the care she has received. I am so pleased that we have a new manager who we already know from the last time she was here. We were very sad when she left but over the moon that she is back. Hartford Court is very comfortable and welcoming.

My wife who suffers from Alzheimer's has been going to Hartford Court for about 6 months on daycare. The staff make her very welcome on arrival. They are friendly and considerate. The place is very clean with lots of activities, she really enjoys going and for someone who is very picky with her food she always eats everything that she is given.

We were given the recommendation to view Hartford Court. We were very impressed and the care and attention given to residents by staff surprised me. Then I know this was the place for my father in law to come to.

All the family were very happy with the care our father in law received in his short time at Hartford Court.

My mother had lived with me for 29 years. When it became apparent she would need 24-hour care, my family and I decided to place her here. We have been very impressed with the professional approach of all the staff and also the cleanliness of the establishment. My mother appears happy and very well cared for. I am content and feel my mother is being very well cared for.
