The Belvedere is situated in Alderley Edge, Cheshire and specialises in nursing dementia care for up to 41 residents.

The Home three storey purpose built home opened in June 2009 with the comfort of each resident in mind. Belvedere has a lounge on each floor, including a dining room with kitchen facilities, comfortable seating and opulent decor. There are also two snoozlem areas and a secure garden.

The Belvedere works closely with its neighbour, Cavendish Court who have the same owners, which allows both homes to maintain a flexible service in relation to individual needs and contact with numerous health experts.

All residents receive their own care packages in order to ensure they receive the health, attention and dietary requirements that health professionals indicate will improve their well-being.

My father was in another care home until December 2018. There was an incident and my father, whos is 98, was ejected from the home. There was no backup, care or notes provided. Luckily the manager at Belvedere took my dad and he has had marvellous care and attention. I cannot thank the manager and her
staff enough. My father was a soldier and now has the care he deserves from Belvedere. He has issues but they face them with kindness, I regularly visit and the staff are always so caring. Thank you.

Having had a bad experience with the first care home chosen for my wife, I then conducted a lot of research before securing a place at The Belvedere. Since my wife entered The Belvedere, I could not be more happy with the care and attention that she is receiving. Thank you to all the staff and manager.

My Dad is a resident at the Belvedere he arrived in December 2018. I cannot fault this home at all. The first thing that always stands out is the cleanliness of this home is immaculate and Dad's room is always nice and clean. The staff are wonderful we are always made to feel very, very welcome and
nothing is too much trouble. Visiting Dad is always a pleasant experience.
Dad enjoys the food, there seems to be a good choice on a daily basis. The staff treat the residents with dignity and friendliness they always seem to know just how Dad is feeling. Communication is good I always feel I'm kept up to date with all that is going on with Dad. Management is very approachable. After 2 years of constant worry with Dad, I feel he couldn't be anywhere better his care is wonderful.

The care Dad receives is excellent. Dad has been at the home for about 10 months and during this period of time the staff have treated him with dignity and respect. Always saying cheery words of encouragement for praise. Nothing is ever too much trouble, whether it is caring for his personal needs,

I have worked as a carer in a hospice for more than 20 years so am very aware of the level of palliative care available when required. My dear friend did not need to be moved from Belvedere to the hospice as all her needs were met, physically and emotionally just where she was. An example - my friend
loved the natural world - one of my lasting memories was walking down the hallway to her room and hearing the sound of birdsong - it filled her room. A thoughtful carer was playing it to her. My friend ended her life peacefully, pain-free, surrounded by truly caring people who cared about me also. When my friend came to Belvedere the standards were high, but on a change of management, these lowered considerably. However, when the present manager came to Belvedere it once again became the place it was 3 years ago. Well done.

I am writing this shortly after my mother's death. Mum spent the last 10 months of her life here. She was always very well cared for with dignity and respect. I was given an enormous amount of support and always felt welcome. Mum was able to spend the last days of her life here - for that I will always
be grateful. I would not hesitate in recommending The Belvedere for the very best in nursing dementia care.

My father arrived here in a very unstable state but the care staff and manager soon had him settled and feeling more comfortable than he had been in a long time. The staff are patient and very attentive to all his needs and made a lot of effort to get to know dad and memories from his past. Dad enjoys
time in the communal lounges and has gained weight as the food is a very good standard; homemade is always best! I can't thank the team enough so far.

My Wife has frontal- temporal dementia and under section 117 of the mental health act and has been ill since 2013. In April 2014 I cared for my Wife at home for 3 years. In April 2017 the mental health team put my Wife into care. In November 2017 the residential care home gave notice for her to move.
I was bringing my Wife home every 2 days, bathing her, washing her hair, clothes and looking after her till 8pm. On March 20th 2018 my Wife moved to The Belvedere. They now take care of all my Wife's needs, baths, hair, helping to feed her, changing her clothes every day. I am extremely happy with all the staff that look after her. The management keep me up to date with everything that is going on. The activities my Wife loves and is very happy at The Belvedere. I am extremely happy with the management and all the staff, they always find time to speak with me.

Final journey for my Uncle in Belvedere, but I cannot speak highly enough of this warm, caring and happy environment since his time began here.
He is loved and cared for by the most amazing of selfless, hardworking and genuine staff ranging from all positions. You all know who you are.
Sadly one day
soon, my time visiting will come to an end, but I will never forget the kindness and dignity my special Uncle has been given. Thank you, from the bottom of my heart.

My brother has had a previous failed placement because his needs are complex. Since going to the Belvedere he is very settled as they understand his behaviour which can be perceived as challenging. The staff are well trained and very friendly.

My husband has been staying there for approximately 18 months. He is settled and happy and enjoys his food very much. The staff are very helpful and understanding even if on occasions he has belongings which do not belong to him. He has once or twice been in trouble regarding a small punch-up, but again,
the staff tell me that it is all part of dementia and are very caring to explain this to me.

The care home is outstanding in its approach. I can visit my mother at any time of day; she is always well presented and clean. The manager is outstanding too in her dedication - a credit to the role. My mother's difficult condition has been managed to the highest level. I cannot commend more highly.
