Brackenfield Hall

I cannot recommend Brackenfield Hall Care Home highly enough. My mother-in-law has dementia and Alzheimer's, and as they specialize in these areas of care, they were recommended to us. She moved in last January, but not long after she settled in, Covid hit. Brackenfield have allowed weekly visiting. When government guidelines allow, which is really appreciated. The fact they have been Covid-free during the global pandemic is also a great comfort. The home is managed really well, with separate living areas depending on the needs of the residents and they have regular activities, which have continued during the lockdown. They post regular photos and videos on Facebook. Seeing my mother-in-law and the other residents happy and smiling is lovely to see. We phone her daily, and the staff are so kind and considerate, nothing is too much trouble. A big thank you to the manager and the team!

The staff were very caring and helped my mum when she was poorly. Thanks to them she pulled through. They sat with her for long periods in between our visits. They went above and beyond the call of duty made sure she was well.

The letter from Brackenfield Hall came jus at the right time as our family were really missing mum who had just settled into Brackenfield Hall before lockdown. The garden/tea room visits are so well organised and I look forward to my weekly visit. It's so nice to see mum looking so well and obviously has been well looked after. She usually shows me her nails that have been newly painted. The staff are lovely and usually update me on what mum has been doing during the week.

Brilliant standard of care, the staff are compassionate and caring. I can't comment on management, rooms, facilities, food and drink and activities as we've been meeting in the meeting room, which is very clean.

Very helpful staff arranged a socially distanced visit during the coronavirus lockdown.

The facilities are wonderful and we were always made to feel welcome when we were visiting.

Very helpful and their care is absolutely wonderful. I couldn't wish for nicer people.

Brackenfield Hall provided a very secure and caring environment for mum. The staff were very kind, compassionate and excellent in caring for mum. They were very friendly and approachable. We cannot thank them enough for the wonderful work they do.

My review of my stay at the care home, I thought it was really very good. The food was excellent. All the carers were great and the home was very clean. Everything was A one.

My mum has gone from saying I'm not going into a care home to saying I like it here, I'm happy here I've made friends here and I don't want to go back to my house and she has started smiling again. The lovely caring staff at Brackenfield Hall have made my mum so at ease, safe and happy there and mum says that the staff are so lovely and caring and nothing is too much trouble for them and she says she is well looked after and the food is lovely here. We find the staff very pleasant, approachable and friendly, always got time to talk to us about my mum. I can honestly say we have found a good care home here where mum is well cared for and would definitely recommend it to anyone.

The care my mum receives is second to none, she feels safe there with friends around her who provide the total support that family would like to give but which is not achievable with other commitments and limited accommodation. Well done Brackenfield Hall.

Mainly good care given, problems solved but some problems re-occurring as sometimes have to ask more than twice for things to be done. In my opinion, not enough staff sometimes.

Overall very happy with everything, lovely staff, lovely facilities and, most of all, we know our Dad is being cared for to an excellent standard. Thank you.

Excellent care home, very clean, excellent building upkeep and maintenance. Got 4 stars for food. Mum has got dementia but is very happy and cheerful. Mum is 94 years old. They have games and karaoke regularly and a singer/entertainer regularly. They are taken out for a meal or other suitable venue regularly. They have coffee mornings.

Staff treat my Mum with respect and dignity. I have peace of mind knowing my Mum is cared for at all times and lives in a safe environment.

My friend was lonely and confused and a danger in her own home. She was terrified of going into care but she is now relaxed fit and happy. She is well fed, she was living on chocolate and buns before she moved so she loves the 'proper food' she talks to everyone and they talk to her. She has her own room with en suite but she spends most of her time in the communal lounge, she forgets most things but meal times but the 'girls' gently jolly her along. She is relaxed and contented for the first time in years. Thank you all.
