I have been working in Health and Social Care for over two decades. My experience of working in various sectors like Dementia specialist homes, Autism, Mental Health, children's services, Day Centres and elderly care has enabled me to appreciate the hard work and dedication of all team members working towards the same goal. I am honoured to be working at Winchester Heights, Avery Collection homes, which echoes our values of caring, supportive, honest, respectful and accountable. I joined the team over 10 years ago, starting as a Care Assistant in the Dementia department. Originally trained as a Paramedic, I discovered a deep passion for elderly care after working with an incredible team. I find great value in supporting the dignity and well-being of elderly individuals, and I am driven by the purpose of making a meaningful impact on their quality of life. This work gives me immense fulfilment and a true sense of purpose. I'm Laura, Dementia Care Manager here at Winchester Heights. I have been part of the team since 2023, but I have worked in Nursing and Dementia care since 2010 in various roles. I am passionate about what I do and feel extremely lucky to have a job I love. Originally from Nepal, I joined Avery Healthcare in 2014 and have since developed a strong passion for business administration within the care sector. With a degree in Business Management and Administration, I bring valuable knowledge and experience to my role as Business Administration Manager at Winchester Heights.

I began my journey with Avery Healthcare at Merlin Court before joining Winchester Heights in August 2023. I enjoy the variety and daily challenges my role brings, from supporting colleagues to ensuring the smooth and efficient running of the home. My experience as an Accounts Assistant for almost a year has further strengthened my financial and organisational skills. What makes my role especially rewarding is being part of a warm, welcoming and multicultural home where everyone is accepted, respected and valued for who they are. I truly appreciate the inclusive environment at Winchester Heights, where people from different backgrounds come together and feel a sense of belonging. This makes me proud to be part of the team. After more than a decade in the care sector, I feel proud of how far I have come, both personally and professionally. I joined in July 2017, and I feel blessed to be part of this very special community. My main role is to offer support and advice to families who are considering bringing a loved one into our community, and I take great pride in helping prospective residents learn about how we can make a positive change in their quality of life.

I joined Winchester Heights in November 2021. Before joining, I worked as an Operations Manager. My background is in hotels, and I have been enjoying it for nearly 15 years.

I am originally from France and have travelled to Italy and the UK, which has allowed me to speak fluently in three different languages.

Working closely with my team is really important to me, to enable us to deliver nothing but the best. I am passionate about customer service and making sure our people are being looked after; they genuinely feel cared for, valued and respected.

Delivering a 5-star service is my professional focus, and I am happy to bring my knowledge and experience into the care industry. Read less

I have always loved the culinary arts, a talent I inherited from my grandfather, who already succeeded in his career and has been an inspiration to me since my childhood.

I studied Catering Management at a prestigious, award-winning University in India, SIHM. I have worked in many five-star hotels, including the Taj Group of hotels in India and many luxury restaurants in the UK. I am proud to be a part of the Signature group and to help make a difference in our residents’ day, as I strongly believe that food always gives everyone pleasure. Read less

I am a hospitality professional and have worked in the hotel industry for over 12 years. Recently, I joined Avery Group at Winchester Heights Care Home for new exposure. Winchester Heights Care Home is extremely accommodating. The best part is the work culture and the positive attitude of the staff towards everyone. I have spent many years working in the construction industry, gaining a wealth of knowledge and practical experience along the way. Outside of work, I enjoy socialising with family and friends, clay pigeon shooting and collecting gold coins. I recently joined Winchester Heights care home as Maintenance Manager and am thoroughly enjoying the diversity the role offers.
