I found the staff to be friendly and organised. The standard of care for my father was outstanding. The home is very clean dad always told me he was very well cared for and the communication between staff and myself was excellent, would highly recommend.

My mum is well cared for and staff are amazing we as a family can't fault the care, staff make us feel so welcome and nothing is a bother to them. My mum is settled and happy there. The manager and her staff are so approachable and during lockdown did an excellent job of keeping COVID out.

The most excellent care is given. Staff go out of their way to help and are really interested in the residents. This is the best care home I have ever experienced. I would highly recommend it to anyone worried about their loved ones entering care.

My mother has been a resident in Preston House for over two years. The management and staff helped to allay any worries the family had regarding my mum moving in. I'm more than happy with her care, Preston House is always clean and there's a good feeling to the whole place.

The care and attention given to both residents and family is amazing. The team at Preston House are very supportive and nothing is too much trouble. We know that Mum is safe and looked after by people who really care.

I am very happy that my stepfather is using this care home (Preston House) whilst still being able to communicate with his dementia. He tells me he is very happy here. There was an incident regarding his dignity on one occasion. When confronting the senior staff and management, this was dealt with immediately
so therefore quickly resolved. I am happy enough with his care staff overall and if there are any issues regarding his welfare, I am contacted directly.

My mother has been extremely well looked after while she has been here. This has made her adjustment to the care home much easier for her and the family alike. She is very happy here and her time is very well spent during the day, ensuring she is kept busy.

Preston House is very welcoming, clean and spacious, the staff are very friendly and approachable. I felt my grandad received the best care he was a very proud man and he said himself he was grateful for the care he received, nothing was a bother for the staff.

Kellie

Kellie Fraser

Job Title: Service Manager Joined: 2023

Kellie has worked within healthcare since 2018 and has been part of Holmes Care Group for the past two years. She qualified as a nurse in 2018 and began her career in the NHS, working in an acute orthopaedic trauma ward, where she also took on the role of Dementia Champion. During COVID, she supported patients within the ICU, gaining valuable clinical experience.


Kellie later worked in agency nursing, where she built strong links with Methven House before joining as Deputy Manager. She has since progressed to Service Manager at Preston House, bringing both clinical expertise and a strong commitment to leadership.


She holds an HNC in Healthcare and a BSc in Adult Nursing, with additional skills in areas such as medication management, catheter care, syringe drivers and complex clinical support. Kellie has a particular passion for dementia care, end-of-life care and supporting staff to reach their full potential.


Kellie is incredibly proud of the team at Preston House, as well as the vibrant activities programme and welcoming environment that residents and families value.
