I visit the care home, notwithstanding the reason of doing so. I must say Hempstalls Hall is a fine care home. The surroundings are fine. The staff are efficient and pleasant and helpful, especially with any queries. The rooms are very clean as well as the rest of the home. My sister won't appreciate the full extent of her care but I know she is receiving it.

from our initial enquiry we couldn't have felt more welcome and reassured. The care my mother received during her 2 week stay was excellent. We would recommend Hempstalls Hall to anyone.

I couldn't be happier with Hempstalls and couldn't consider moving mum to another. I've scored excellent in all the survey boxes. The home has a great atmosphere. A second activities staff member has been added which shows real commitment to stimulating the residents. I was most impressed when a staff member said two of them had given a resident a clean and said 'she looks lovely', clearly looking after the lady was a joy not a chore.

Mu husband has Alzhiemers and mobility problems. This March was the third time he has been into Hempstalls for respite. It was brilliant and good for me too so that I could have a rest from being his only carer. The family call it Grandads 5 star hotel. The care he receives and the quality of the home itself lives up to that. He is entertained, take out and made to feel at home. It's the best.

Overall Experience

Finding oneself in the daunting position of having to choose a care home for a parent who has recently been widowed I cannot overstate how happy I am with Hempstalls Hall as a choice. The ethos from Home Manager to the Handy Man is the same throughout. What the resident needs is everyone's primary concern. "ITS THEIR HOME!" It's a comfortable, clean modern environment. Not too large only 40 residents over 2 floors, larger homes may have proved too daunting for my Mother. I also believe the level of care can be more personal in in this small cosy environment. On moving in she was met and welcomed by The Manager, a Senior care worker, a junior care worker, the Head Chef, The Events Organiser, even the Administrator made herself known. This caring sincerity has continued to this day. Mum has made some very good new friends, and the new increased mobility, and socialising have given her a new lease of life. My only regret is that my Father never got to experience this as well! Hempstalls Hall is a model for others to aspire to. Everyone who asks me where my Mum ended up has said what good things they have heard about Hempstalls Hall. I think it has the best reputation in the area. I would unreservedly recommend it. It isn't cheap for a self-funded resident, but lesser quality places aren't really worth the saying.

Having worked at Hempstalls for 14 years I have many things which I enjoy about my job such as having a helpful, caring, and compassionate team. Hempstalls is a friendly and welcoming environment.

When I’m not at work hobbies some of my favourite things to do are spend time with family and friends, take my dog on long walks, and go out for meals and cocktails.

I also love going on holiday and I am aiming to travel the world.

I would best describe myself as a happy and caring person who enjoys looking after people. I am always very organised and like to have a plan in place for any tasks which may lie ahead. I’m able to remain calm and positive in any situation which may arise. As part of being the deputy manager, I like empowering staff in the job which they are in.
