If you choose a care home based in Wales, you may be eligible for the Welsh NHS-funded nursing care contribution of at least £201.74 per week. This support is not reflected in the fee amount shown, and the actual contribution may be higher depending on the Local Health Board.
Vistitors are welcome at all times so they so they can spend as much time as they wish with loved ones. To encourage regular visits, relatives have the opportunity to purchase a key fob so that they can pop by as they please.

Karen has over 33 years of experience working for the NHS in clinical and managerial roles. She has gained vast experience working in the social care sector as a clinical nurse manager and deputy manager and has Diploma in Palliative Care and Management.
Karen has worked at Ty Penrhos Care Home since February 2016, she is registered with both the Nursing & Midwifery Council and Social Care Wales. Karen was made Home Manager in May 2022.
The team at Ty Penrhos is committed to providing a high standard of quality care treating all residents as individuals with compassion, empathy and love, treating them as if they were family.
Karen joined Ty Penrhos in July 2016 and has over nine years experience of working in forensic mental health.
She started as a staff nurse providing care for residents with dementia and was promoted to clinical unit lead in August 2020, where she went on to complete her QCF level 5.
Karen was interim deputy manager from March 2021 to January 2022, and was then promoted to the permanent role of deputy manager in 2022.
Karen is a valued member of the Ty Penrhos Team and is well respected by her colleagues, residents and their families.
Kate is the clinical lead on one of our dementia communities at Ty Penrhos. She has a vast knowledge of dementia and shares this with her team to enable them to provide person-centred care for each resident who lives in her community.
Alison has worked at Ty Penrhos since 2015 and is the clinical lead for our adults with physical disability (APD) community. This is a complex community which provides care for younger adults. Alison has vast knowledge of providing this specialist care and passes her knowledge on to her team to ensure they receive person-centred care.
