My father-in-law enjoyed his first respite stay in December. He was met and supported by kind, skilled staff who made him very welcome.
He enjoyed his stay very much and didn't want to come home. He normally moans about food, people and life, this time he could give nothing but praise for his care.

Mulberry Court has, in May 2018, received a CQC Overall Rating of "Inadequate". I do not disagree with the rating as my mother, who has been a resident of 2 years there, has received poor personal care for about a year now.


An experienced and able manager has just been appointed to turnaround this

care home. However, some time is needed for proposed improvements to bed in.


I am rating Mulberry Court in its current work-in-progress situation. However, I urge prospective residents to re-visit this care home situation in a few months time as a team is working hard now to deliver a success story.

Can I use this opportunity to thank the excellent team at Mulberry Court for the care and kindness they showed my father when he returned from hospital after a stroke. They made everything as easy as possible for us at a very difficult time (unlike our local hospital) and the team gave my dad a very
dignified end and he passed peacefully in the place he regarded as home and I cannot speak highly enough of the care given.

My father came into Mulberry COurt initially for respite and then stayed when home circumstances changed. I was dreading visiting him in 'a home' but from the outset, the staff showed him care, consideration and above all dignity despite his symptoms of dementia. Sadly, after a hospital admission, he
returned to Mulberry Court to end his life. The care and love shown to my dad was outstanding, the support to my mum was always available and despite the sad situation, the staff were so professional and above all showed real care to us.

Mum was an emergency admission and didn't want to be in a home. Staff at all levels were professional, friendly and caring. In the end, mum was sorry to leave. The team helped me manage telling mum about her husband's death and really helped her during this difficult time.

I visit the home 4 - 5 times a week to visit my Husband and am always welcomed by the staff on my Husbands floor and other staff at the home who assist his care and management of the care home. Overall I think the care home is well run and very clean with staff ensuring the homes communal area's and
rooms are cleaned daily. I would certainly recommend Mulberry Court Care Home to anyone that has to make the sad and hard decision to put their loved one in a residential care home. The residents are kept hydrated and meals are nutritious and plentiful.

As this was my first experience of having to request and take up 2 weeks respite for my husband; it was gratefully helpful that the process was undertaken with care and consideration. My mum came to Mulberry Court following a number of weeks in hospital after a bad fall in her garden. We had no idea what to expect and I was probably more upset and uncomfortable than her. However, she has settled in well and likes all her carers and helpers and the other residents. Mum says the food
is very good, her room is lovely and frequently cleaned and she enjoys the outings, as she has always been a very sociable person.
Mum now feels safe and secure and very well looked after. I also now feel so happy for her that she has found a lovely, caring environment in which to enjoy herself. Thank you to all those at Mulberry Court for your support and help over the last couple of months. It has been a pleasure for me to deal with you all too. I think Mulberry Court is much more than the sum of its parts, the atmosphere is so welcoming and there's a general feeling of wanting to make residents comfortable and happy, which you seem to have done with mum!

Dad's been a resident for nearly four years now and despite his deterioration, he seems happy, always looks clean and groomed and generally appears well. The staff are happy to discuss anything to do with his health and care and regularly review his plan with mum and I. We are always made to feel
welcome when we visit and feel part of a large family.


The home itself has a programme of indoor and outdoor activities and day trips all year round. The manager and her staff listen to any concerns we may have and will do their utmost to resolve any issue we may raise.


We looked at several care homes before deciding on Mulberry Court and we are very pleased with our choice and have no hesitation recommending it to others.

My aunt stayed here for a period of respite whilst I had a much-needed break. She was in safe hands. Mulberry Court has wonderful staff who do a great job. The food was lovely. My aunt even gained a bit of weight! The home is modern, bright and airy and feels homely and welcoming from the minute you
walk in the door. My aunt even managed to get to the pub for lunch one day and a trip to a garden centre. The gardens are large with plenty of seating. Thank you all for taking care of her.

I find Mulberry Court very nice place to stay long term. Staff is very helpful and treat residents (most of them suffering from dementia) with dignity.
Personal hygiene care is excellent.
The atmosphere is family-like, very warm. Food is excellent quality, portions very generous. Residents are given
choices of menu. Additional drinks coffee, tea, soft drinks served throughout the day and evening. Activities offered. Felt like heaven.

I have always found the staff at Mulberry Court, Luton to be helpful. They are happy to chat to residents and do their best to keep them happy. The building is very clean, the garden accessible, although more plants would help. Laundry service is good as are the meals.
I am confident that my mum is
being cared for and entertained. Office staff are friendly - I can't fault it.
My only criticism is, more garden plants, monitor the heat during the summer as rooms can become a bit too warm.
I'm really grateful to have found Mulberry Court.

Mulberry Court provides and amazing service for my father. It feels like home and he is so happy living there. The staff are so happy and friendly and helpful. The food choices are great and always plenty of food. The number of weekly outings is great and the variety means he gets lots of experiences
and social activities to help stimulate his brain. Mulberry Court is very clean and tidy. We are so happy we found Mulberry Court for our dad.

Having my mother who is suffering from dementia residing at Mulberry Court, Luton has relieved the stress of coping with my mother's condition. It was very painful to have my mother admitted to a care home but with Mulberry Court looking after her, I am delighted with the care and attention she is receiving.

I stayed at the above home for 18 days as a respite resident during my wife's trips to East Africa. This was my second stay at the home for a similar reason (holiday with the family). I have a mobility problem and use two crutches plus have frozen shoulders with limited use. I insisted on having a shower
myself but help was available if needed. There were carers in the dining room during meals if cutting was required due to my shoulders disability. The carers were friendly and helpful when we sat in the lounge asking if anything was needed and in general, this caring attitude was shown throughout my stay. The canopy/extension allowed me to sit outside as the weather was quite good at the time.

Welcome to Mulberry Court. My name is Marie. I have over 31 years of experience working within the care industry, involving many roles and management roles. I am very proud to be working at Mulberry Court and I am very passionate about my job and devoted to the residents in our care. The team strive and works very hard to make a positive difference in resident’s everyday life experiences. We offer high-quality care, in an exceptional state-of-the-art environment. We provide a personalised, happy environment which is Dementia friendly. There are other facilities in the home which include a shop, sensory room, hairdressing room, a café and spacious communal lounges and dining rooms.


Residents and their well-being are the central focus of our care home, and we put service users at the heart of all that we do. We provide outings with our minibus which include trips to the local museums, clubs, and pubs.

Hi, my name is Hayley Griffiths. I started my career at Mulberry Court Care Homes in 2014. I started working for Runwood Homes as a care assistant to help provide person-centred care to people living with dementia and high needs.


I absolutely adore my job and I go home every night feeling satisfied and rewarded that I have helped somebody in need. Runwood Homes provides so many opportunities and amazing training to progress in the health and social care setting.


I trained to become Care Team Leader in 2016, leading a team of carers to ensure my residents were being well looked after and the floor was well led, safe and effective.


I was promoted to Deputy Manager in 2020. Mulberry Court Care Home is the best place to work. I also recommended my family and friends to this care home.

Hello, my name is Tunde Oyesile. I have been a member of Mulberry Court Care Home since November 2012. Runwood Homes has given me so many opportunities to progress my career in social care. I started off working as a care assistant to support elderly living with dementia and high needs, and trained in-house to become a Care Team Leader. I was promoted in 2015.


The support and training I have from Runwood Homes has been great. I have now been promoted as Deputy Manager and have been in this post since 2021. I would recommend Runwood Homes. Mulberrry Court is a nice place to work with a friendly and family feel.

As a Dementia Champion, I’m committed to supporting and empowering residents with dementia to engage in meaningful activities that enhance their lives.


Outside of my work, I have a variety of hobbies that keep me energized. I enjoy dancing (I’ve even had lessons and was a Junior Miss Pontins!), as well as gardening, crafting, walking, and flower arranging. Whether it’s a dance step or a fresh bouquet, I bring energy and creativity into everything I do.

Outside of work, I’m an avid reader and a movie enthusiast, and I enjoy dancing. My little boy brings me immense joy, and I cherish every moment spend with him. Balancing work, creativity, and family is something I truly enjoy.

I started my Duke of Edinburgh and completed my Bronze award, and I used to play the violin—though I can still play "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star!" I’m also a big fan of karaoke, where I love to sing my heart out. When I’m not working, you’ll find me baking delicious treats or enjoying food shopping (though I’m not a fan of clothes or shoe shopping!).
