This is on behalf of my husband who has been here with dementia since September last year. I visit twice a week and he seems ok but has lost a lot of weight. The staff are marvelous but feel he could have more one-to-one care.

The refurbishment of Bradbury Grange over the summer of last year has made a huge difference, and it is a joy to visit now.
Staff are friendly and helpful, and leave genuine care for the residents.

The family would like to see more activities on a daily basis - for stimulation and enjoyment of their father, who is resident with dementia - such a cruel disease at such a young age. (79 years)

My husband has been expertly cared for during the last two years. Management and staff listen to requests and always respond according to the needs of the resident. Every aspect of care is geared to the residents personal needs. Food is excellent, as is accommodation, and the carers are very helpful. There is respect for each resident, who get opportunity to discuss their situation at the residents meeting. Singing, services and other entertainment with the Chaplain are enjoyed by all.

The staff are so good with the residents. Even the kitchen staff know everyone by name and take care to greet them by name as they walk by. Very impressive and it creates a real sense of a family.
Everywhere is very well run, clean and friendly. Whenever there is any kind of an incident I am always informed immediately which I find really reassuring.

I really love Bradbury Grange and am so glad I was able to get a place there for my lovely sister!

Not for the first time, my wife, who is severely disabled, entered Bradbury Grange (BG) for a fortnight's respite care in September 2025. The sudden onset of a serious health condition meant that I couldn't resume my role as her carer and Kim and her team at BG could not have done more to welcome my wife and help her settle into her newly decorated, light and well appointed room. Clearly, this has been a life changing experience for both me and my wife of over fifty years, but regular visits from family and friends and the care and understanding of Kim and her team are helping us to adjust, for which I take this opportunity to record my sincere thanks.

I fell, fractured a vertebra, lost control of my bladder and bowels. I decided I needed respite care. A friend recommended Bradbury Grange. I was surprised at how friendly, jolly and constructive the staff were. They were positive and thoughtful and I felt supported and much less anxious. They were happy to check if they were uncertain about something which was reassuring. I was expecting bland food. I was so impressed by the range choice and variety. The food was delicious and satisfying. The menu was creative and interesting. The room was comfortable well furnished and appropriate. The home as a whole was exceedingly attractive and in immaculate condition.

I came into Bradbury Grange for two weeks following a knee replacement operation. Everyday, by every member of staff I met, I was treated with care, friendliness and profesional consideration. The support I have been given has been excellent and I believe has really made my recovery much quicker and less painful. I cannot thank everyone enough and hope they will have me back in a few months time after my second knee replacement. Thankyou so much.

Both of my parents have been at Bradbury Grange for over a year and I have been very pleased with the standard of the care provided.

All the staff, from the management to the cleaning staff and the nurses, have been exemplary in their kindness and patience with me and my parents, and when visiting I am always made to feel welcome. The staff, although sometimes extremely busy, are always caring and responsive to Mum and Dad's needs. If a problem ever occurs with my parents the staff are always quick to let me know.

The home always seems clean and there are activities and entertainment on offer to help keep my parents occupied. I have no hesitation in recommending Bradbury Grange very highly.

I am very happy with the service Bradbury Grange has given my husband for the last 5 months. The day staff are all great, friendly and always helpful, both caters and domestic staff. I'm not sure about night staff as I never see them but my husband is sometimes negative about his night experiences, which maybe the dementia talking! He occasionally does not have a continence pad on and I've had a couple of accidents when taking him out because of this. He is sometimes dressed with non matching clothes. The laundry service is excellent. Visitors are always made welcome and never made to feel a nuisance. It is sometimes hard to get in at weekends when there is no one in the office, this can be frustrating ringing the bell for 10 minutes. But thank you for all you do in difficult times circumstances , my family and I are most appreciative.

Reply from Kim Saint, Home Manager at Bradbury Grange

Mum has been at Bradbury Grange for three months now, and I have been consistently impressed by all of the staff there. There is great continuity of care, with the same familiar friendly faces on a regular rotation.
When mum arrived she was made to feel very welcome, and was so happy that she could bring her favourite pieces of furniture and pictures, as they meant so much to her. It has become very much a home from home which is always kept fresh and clean.
The food on offer is freshly made and is of a high quality.
When mum was poorly they kept me up to date at all times and were prompt in involving the relevant medical practitioners. The staff then kept a very close eye on her and any additional needs were taken care of.

Mum is happy and settled, and after the stress and worry of moving her into a care home, I now wouldn't hesitate in recommending Bradbury Grange.

Both of my parents were residents at this lovely home and were excellently care for by all of the staff. We always felt welcomed when we visited, as if the home had become part of our family and we became a part of theirs. The staff did not just care for my parents - they really cared about them. Mum particularly loved spending time in the beautiful garden. We have felt so reassured by all of the staff at Bradbury Grange. The home is managed well, kept very clean and we were always kept well informed. We can't thank the staff enough for all of their care and effort.

I can only speak from my experience of observing. My sister is in the care home not me. I know that she is cared for, kindly and compassionately. All the carers I have met have been caring, cheerful and I can even say loving towards my sister, and very patient. I took my time to ensure that Bradbury Grange was the best home we encountered.

Cannot fault the care, staff that my mother receives
All the staff that my wife and I have contact with are professional, friendly and sympathetic to my mother's needs.
This is across all the team from management to the the carers and domestic staff
The laundry team do a great job, returning the clothes quickly and very clean.
The carers take time to talk to my mother who can get a little upset sometimes.
They quickly jump on any health issues and listen to our concerns if we have any.
The catering is very good and needs to be commended
We can approach senior staff if we need to but seeing them nearly every time we visit puts our minds at rest that mum is being well looked after.
She insists on regular visits to the hairdresser, and why not.
The atmosphere is first class and we are encouraged to take our dogs into the home and the team appear to enjoy this more than our dogs

Overall we are happy and believe we have a super relationship with everyone there

Considering Mum's age and health condition, she doing well and seems settled now.
Very homely atmosphere, staff, residents and visitors make it so (based on recent visits) a little sadness sometimes, but overall joyous, upbeat atmosphere.
Nice environment, nice, caring attentive staff, visitors made very welcome, nice food. Facilities and materials, interesting books to browse through, objects, therapy objects to focus on and enjoy.
My mum had 1 to 1 singing therapy, also group therapy takes place in the main living area with all residents.

A trip to the local museum next week. All reassuring.

I visit my partner three to four times weekly. I am always treated with kindness, consideration and respect. The same is true for my partner, who has multiple needs and many mood swings which are all taken into careful consideration in the way she is being looked after. Staff team work incredibly hard, but they have a positive attitude and are well supported by management. I have visited a number of care homes, this is the best!
