Overall Experience
My mum has been a resident now for three months at Bradbury Grange and moving from her own home to residential care closer to me has been a hard transition for her and all the staff have been very supportive, kind and friendly to both her and myself.
I am really pleased with how well Mum is now putting on weight, she really enjoys the food and looks 100% healthier.
The caretaker has been great in assisting to personalise her room so that she has familiar surroundings including a very large plant!

This move has given me such peace of mind knowing that my mum is safe and secure and very well supported and cared for by all the staff. I thoroughly recommend Bradbury Grange.

My mum has been in Bradbury Grange for over three years now. It feels homely when you walk around, which is the reason for choosing this particular home. The staff are caring and attentive and the residents seem happy. It has also improved recently with more staff being employed.

The manager and staff ensured that my father settled into Bradbury Grange with care and kindness at a difficult time of year. Nothing was too much trouble. He is now thriving in his new surroundings. We are very grateful.

My friend was only at Bradbury Grange for a very short period, but the staff were very kind and attentive. They did everything to make her comfortable and content. The staff especially, went out of their way to provide her with a radio station through a tv, when modern DAB outlets failed. I would not hesitate to recommend Bradbury Grange.

My father has been a resident here for the last six months. His transition from home life to being in a residential establishment was not easy, but was very well facilitated by the kind, friendly and helpful staff. Since being there he looks 100% better and although still settling in, I am confident that I have no worries regarding his care. My only quibble and this is petty, but it would be nice to see some more plants around, as I do believe 'greenery' can have a lovely soothing effect. Maybe the residents, if they were up to it, could participate in their care.

I came to this home for respite having lost my husband some months ago, I have received such care and kindness from the staff and some of the residents. I have decided to become a permanent resident for I feel safe, secure and comfortable. The caretaker has made my room very homely for which I am grateful. I can see my family and enjoy the rest of my time in here.

My mother moved into Bradbury Grange following a lengthy stay in hospital. Unfortuablet she was only there for just over 2 months so didn't really have time to settle in but the care she received during this time was exemplary. I was very impressed by the sensitivity and kindness shown during her last few days. I would highly recommend this home.

Bradbury Grange is a careing and friendly home. I am often amazed at the careing and helpful way most of the staff are and they really do care for the welfare of elderly people. We do have times of recreation and exercises daily. Yes, it is a pleasant place.

My mother was a resident at Bradbury Grange, Whitstable for four years which she thoroughly enjoyed. She built positive relationships with the carers and staff who treated her with thoughtfulness and respect, always finding time to chat and take an interest in her family and life stories. She was well cared for, always treated with consideration. Any concerns were swiftly and positively dealt with. Above all, the dignity, love and kindness shown in the last few weeks of her life was outstanding. Everyone demonstrated such sympathy and compassion to Mum and the whole family; it was beyond our expectations. Thank you Bradbury!

My beloved dad lived at Bradbury Grange for four years, one month, and ten days. I am deeply grateful to all the staff for the skilled care, love, and friendship he received. It's hard having a much loved parent in a care home but Bradbury is an open home with visits welcomed at any time. It has regular volunteers and activities to keep all enthusiastic and engaged, even if just observing as dad often would. Dad was very much part of their community. He enjoyed many afternoons in the beautiful garden with its family of squirrels and also on the beach, enjoying fish and chips whilst watching the sailboats and passers-by. Bradbury is very much a family home; its' residents, its' staff, its' relatives and friends, and its' volunteers.

Together, creating a warm environment where residents' individuality and uniqueness is understood and embraced.

Bradbury Grange has been marvelous at allowing 1:1 garden visits with my mother, which we have enjoyed so much. This is on comfortable chairs with a pagoda as shade. My mother also had her breakfast brought outside as she had woken late! I feel she is being well looked after, always looks well dressed, and is extremely well fed!

My father has been at Bradbury Grange for almost 4 years. He has always been happy and well settled. Bradbury Grange has had problems with managers, including a disastrous one in 2018/19 when the home suffered a huge setback. However, the latest manager is absolutely fantastic and has totally turned the culture, morale and atmosphere around in the home. The manager and her team have made Bradbury such a happy and fun place to be - any excuse for a party. Times have been very difficult for all of us in the last few months but it has been a huge relief to know that my dad has been so well looked after by such a competent management team and wonderful, dedicated team of carers.

My wife has been a resident at Bradbury Grange for over two and a half years. During that time I have visited her regularly and have kept in touch with her during lock-down., mostly by telephone. I have virtually always been impressed by the care and attention given to her by all levels of staff, with only occasional minor lapses.
I should add that, I have myself recently spent eight weeks at Bradbury Grange recovering from an operation and the care and friendly help I received when there were many things I could not cope with myself were exceptional. This also meant that I saw the staff dealing with other residents, some of whom were very difficult,, with virtually unfailing patience and friendliness - I don't think that I could have managed this. I believe that the friendly and happy atmosphere comes down through the staff from the management.

I am also very impressed by the safety precautions which have been in force at The Grange throughout the Covid19 epidemic.

Bradbury Grange offers a first class service to all their clients. The way they have all managed through the Covid 19 crisis is very good. Relatives and friends have been able to see their relatives/friends through well organised distance meetings outside in the courtyard. Skype calls for those unable to go outside are also available.

All the staff have been excellent.

Mum arrived at Bradbury Grange in difficult circumstances on the day the Coronavirus lockdown took effect and following the closure of her previous care home. Consequently, no one in the family has yet been able to physically enter the building. Despite these difficulties at what is an unprecedented time for all of us, the staff at Bradbury Grange have done their utmost to make mum's life in her new surroundings as comfortable and as happy as they possibly could be. They have also gone the extra mile by putting in place arrangements whereby families can visit their loved ones in safe and socially distanced surroundings. This has been beneficial for the well-being of the residents as well as the families themselves. I for one have appreciated receiving the regular "letter to relatives", which has provided up-to-date information on developments within Bradbury Grange including safeguarding against Covid-19.
