My mother has been in Charles Court for over ten years. Sadly she passed away there on the 1st June. The care she received was very good. In all the time she was there she was well looked after and made to feel that she was at home.
After a really bad stroke, my father was placed in Charles Court by the Council. We looked at other homes, but when the time came to choose a permanent place, we decided to keep him at Charles Court. He has now been there 15 months. He is happy, content and medically very well looked after. Personal care is also very good. Residents are treated with dignity, patience and genuine affection. All staff, cleaners, carers, nurses and management are the home's greatest asset. Any request from resident or family are swiftly attended to. The home is purpose built, so it is spacious, light & airy, not a converted old house. I would have no hesitation in recommending this home.
For the first time in years I managed to have a holiday abroad, without any problems. I could only do this knowing my relatives were being cared for at Charles Court. I've seen the amazing care they all provide over the last several months, so I felt able to take a holiday, confident that they would be well looked after. I felt guilty about going as most days I visit but staff reassured me I had every right to go. There were no problems at all. I'm so grateful to them all.
Mom received best care possible during her short stay at Charles Court. She was end of life for the 4 weeks she was there, but every member of your team were amazing to her and us as a family, in what was a very difficult time. There was a strong feeling of family ethics. I would definitely recommend this home to others. Thank you for all your kindness and respect.
They knew mum and dad as individuals and delivered person centred care throughout to them. We can't thank them enough for everything they did for us. We'd highly recommend you as a home.
Your parents and yourselves were and still are part of our Charles Court family. Thank you for working so lovingly and positively with us all to ensure that your parents...
My mother-in-law has been a resident at Charles Court Care Home for 4 months. The staff are all wonderful and helped her to settle in quickly. The support provided by staff is second to none. When we visit, we can see my mother-in-law before she sees us and she looks happy and content. It's comforting for the family to know that she is well cared for and safe.
Thank you Janet. We are so pleased that you are delighted with the care and support our staff give and in knowing how happy your mother-in-law is here. She really enjoys good relationships with the staff, friends she has made and visiting families and is very content .
I cannot rate this home and its team highly enough; they are calm, empathic and always put the needs of residents and their families first.
The fact that many staff were there for her entire stay also shows me that this is a stable environment with a quality team - I was so pleased that many knew her as she was and not as her illness meant she became towards the end, as it made the last year or two all the better for the family as we felt that they knew, therefore, how she would like to be treated even when she could no longer communicate it for herself..
Sadly, my aunt died last week; however, true to form Charles Court have been supportive and efficient throughout the process and as a family we wish to thank them for all they have done and continued to do even after she had left their care.
As you say the longevity of the staff and residents along with their families ensures that we become as one as a family forming close bonds and deeply caring for each other...
I am more than satisfied and delighted with the care and service that my stepson has received over the first few years that he has spent with you, and he is very happy there. Many thanks.
Thank you Gilbert. We are so pleased that you are delighted with our care and service, and in knowing how happy your stepson is here. We treasure our relationship with you both as we work together to provide the loving care that he deserves.
I am very happy with the care my mum receives at Charles Court. The staff are kind, caring, supportive and very hardworking. They are very approachable and keep me well informed concerning any changes in my mum's health and wellbeing. My mum, and us as a family, are treated with great kindness and compassion and dignity.
Thank you so much for your kind appreciation of our staff. It is always such a pleasure when we support each other in ensuring that your mum receives the best care.
Since the Care Home has been taken over recently it is nice to see the front reception desk manned with lovely staff . The corridors smell lovely and clean and in a few weeks the home overall seems a nicer place to visit....Good job, well done in

Staff very friendly and always willing to help and the same goes for management. His room was homely and comfortable. I am very grateful for the care and consideration given to my friend.
My late Mother spent the last three months of her life at Charles Court. She was almost blind with epilepsy and Alzheimer's. She had reverted to her Italian language but the staff went the extra mile to try and communicate and comfort her in her own language. The staff from the HCA's to the management were exactly who you would want to look after your most loved one.
I was so happy to see my friend so happy. When she first came here she was so low and ill. She has told me that nothing is too much trouble for any of the staff. My friend has her hair done regularly and is so much like her old self. Thank you all for your hard work.
Thank you for your lovely review. We are pleased to hear your friend is happy and settled here at Charles Court. I will pass your kind words on to the rest of the team here at the home.

My Mum has been a resident of Charles Court for 2 years following three years of age-related ill health, in and out of the hospital. Since then her health has improved enormously, fresh regular meals and the care and attention from staff have given her her life back. A recent problem was swiftly dealt with by the nursing staff, and I was kept up to date by telephone. During this particularly difficult time, with the Covid-19 situation, it is reassuring to know that she is well and in good hands.
