Overall Experience
My father has been a resident in Ashworth Grange since December 2025.
As a family we are very happy in the knowledge that he is being well cared for and all his needs are being met.
The staff are caring and polite.
The manager is very approachable and also knowledgeable about my father which is very reassuring.
The meals appear well presented and are freshly cooked.
My father's birthday resulted in a cake being baked for him and the head cook asked what flavour he would like.
I cannot help but recommend this home.

There has been many activities organised and residents appear to enjoy them tremendously

The home is clean and in condition. The care staff are very helpful to everyone in the property. The previous visit showed a problem where agency staff were covering for missing full times staff, this appears to have been addressed. It was good to see a mature member of staff who was absent during my three previous visits. She has a positive approach to ensuring junior staff in directing them to their work list.

My father initially went for rest bite care, hornet wasn't able to go home.
I will struggle to put into wires how I feel but will try.
The home is outstanding, the love and care r staff gave our father was simply beautiful. The care, love, respect and attention they gave him was stunning. When our father deteriorated and was close to the again stunning, they couldn't do enough for us, bringing us drinks, food, love and answering all our questions amazing, they were all genuinely upset when he passed. Don't look any further because I would never have hesitate to recommend this home they a credit to their profession.
Love to them all

Dave

Mom spent 2 weeks on respite, while my husband and I were on holiday. When family members visited mom was happy and content. Mom made a friend whilst there. I appreciated been able to see photos of Mom taking part in the many activities that were on offer through social media posts. I can not thank Ashworth care staff enough for the way they cared for mom.

My mum has been at Ashworth Grange since June 3rd 2025, after a difficult transition from hospital/home. The staff have been very attentive and caring to Mum's needs, and she now knows most of the staff's names. Mum is very aware of care home environments as she worked in the NHS for 40 years and has been a Matron of care homes after this. She enjoys the meals very much and the activities with Clare and Debbie. I truly believe that Mum has a safer life and definitely a better quality. If she wants company, she can, and if she doesn't, then she doesn't have to. Thank you all so very much. x

Staff are very kind and caring. Mum's room needs painting and the cupboards inside are very dusty but overall clean and tidy. There are plenty of activities which is good and one of the staff is great at organising events.

Mum does not eat meat, which can be difficult for her to have a good choice. Overall, Mum seems happy and is well looked after. One last point, the windows need cleaning in and out.

Visited on 2nd May (PM) + my sister was outside with other residents listening to a gentlemen playing guitar and singing. Residents seemed to be enjoying themselves + all had ice lolly + cold drinks. Took her back to her room, with help from staff + she said she was enjoying her time there but thought we had come to take her home.

It's been so hard watching my mother-in-law deteriorate with such a cruel and vindictive disease over the last few years. Having Ashworth Grange there to guide us and help us all cope as a family has been unbelievable. Knowing and seeing how settled, safe and secure our loved one is whilst in their highly professional care is a god send. The entire staff always go above and beyond to provide a service that's second to none. Their highly professional approach to their work and their willingness and commitment to comfort and support both patience and families is outstanding. I genuinely can't thank everyone at Ashworth Grange enough for the peace of mind and reassurance we have as a family regarding my mother-in-law's care. You are all SUPER HEROES

A brilliant care home! From the very moment you enter, you are greeted with a smile. All the staff are attentive and take an internet in residents ensuring they are happy. My mum has been at Ashworth Grange now for about 10 months. During that time she seems to have settled well, with the help of staff. They always show mum the utmost respect and care for her with respect and dignity. I am a regular visitor and we together enjoy the coffee mornings and out lovely hostess the life style coordinator. Mum loves the craft and art sessions, especially painting and drawing.

I am a resident whose lived here for 9 months, 9 happy months. Carers are all kind and look after me well. I have a lovely room. Residents can join in activities. My mum has consistently had the most amazing care at Ashworth Grange for two years.
Because her family lives 4-5 hours away, it was decided to move Mum close to us.
Mum pined for Ashworth Grange and the loving caring people who looked after her and in just over a month returned to a welcome fit for a celebrity!
This is an exceptional care home because it is staffed by exceptional people.

Thank you.

My grandma had dementia and was at the home for approximately 2.5 years. Overall, she was well looked after and treated with respect. During the last week of her life, the staff let us stay with her and they were just brilliant. We really felt supported and cared for ourselves. They provided food for us, a room and made sure we were ok throughout. When she passed away they were all so respectful and even gave her a guard of honour when she left the home. Your kindness will always be much appreciated.
