Seagrave House complements Glenmoor House, which is another Avery home in Corby, which has joint excursions arranged.

Three floors offer residential care as well as dementia and respite care.

The top floor is devoted to private residential suites with kitchenettes.

The home offers a shared care experience with companion suites, designed for couples, siblings or friends seeking a caring and supportive environment together.

There is a secluded rear garden and a friendly bowling club next door. Seagrave has plenty of cosy lounge areas perfect for socialising including a cinema room and a hair salon open to residents daily.

Relationships across the generations are encouraged and grandchildren are welcome to join their parents on visits. Families are encouraged to be involved in decision-making for the home.

Strong ties with the local communities have been made and local entertainers and speakers are frequent visitors.

The chefs make the meals as fresh as possible, can cater for all dietary requirements and enjoy cooking for special occasions.

We were invited to join the Avery blooming open evening. The event was well organised, and staff were on hand to help the residents and families.
The event was lovely, with cheese and wine for the residents and guests.

My dad has been a resident in residential care at Seagrave for almost 12 months. It is a warm, caring, well-run home - with a real emphasis on helping residents to get the most out of life while looking after their individual care needs. I feel Dad is well looked after by the lovely staff, but more
than that, the effort staff make daily to make residents feel included and offer all kinds of activities just makes me feel like he still has a purpose, feels valued and is seen as an individual. I would highly recommend Seagrave.

The staff and manager could not have been more helpful and understanding in helping my mother to make the difficult transition from her own home into care. The home environment is very welcoming, and Mum has settled well into her new life, making new friends very quickly.

My husband came for respite in March; however, it was decided he should stay for full-time care due to a few safeguarding issues. The care home is an extremely homely and friendly place. Very loving, patient and caring staff. He is always occupied with the many varied activities and trips organised
by the wonderful lifestyle girls. Everyone has gone above and beyond to make my hubby and me happy and settled. Keep up the brilliant work, Seagrave team.

My mother celebrated a birthday on the 24th of May, and the staff went above and beyond to ensure her day was special. A small room was decorated for our afternoon tea, and extra equipment was provided; it was perfect and beautiful memories were made thanks to the care home staff.

Mum has been here since January after having a stroke in November and losing the ability to live on her own. It has taken her a long time to settle in, and it has been difficult for her, the family and the staff, as she has had repeated infections and TIA's along the way. I couldn't recommend Seagrave
highly enough. Mum is a very difficult person to handle since her stroke, and the staff have treated her with the utmost respect. There is always something going on at Seagrave, and although she doesn't join in much, they try their hardest. Staff keep in touch with me when necessary, and it is a lovely place to be from the moment you walk in the door.

My mum came to Seagrave House to be assessed, and last week, we received the good news that she is to be a permanent resident. She absolutely loves it. The staff are fantastic and genuinely care. The food is lovely. There is daily entertainment, which she takes part in, and has made friends. Overall,
Mum couldn't be happier - she is living her best life, which makes us happy as a family and gives us great peace of mind. Thank you all for everything.

My mum moved into Seagrave House in February 2023 following my father's passing. It is great knowing she is safe, warm, happy and well looked after. Nothing is too much trouble for the staff, from management to the cleaner. My mum is happy, and the family are making memories. I can't thank the staff

My wife has been in care at Seagrave House for six months now. I have nothing but admiration for the staff; they go that one step beyond to make sure the residents are well looked after. I cannot fault anyone of the staff; they are a credit to their profession. I include everyone in my praises, the
carers, kitchen staff, cleaners and laundry staff; they are all a credit to your company. I think the catering is excellent. Well done to all.

I am eternally grateful for the tender love and care that is given to my mum by all the staff. It was a pleasure to speak with the manager who speaks fondly of my mum. Since the manager joined the team last year there has been a huge improvement all around at Seagrave House and there is an amazing team

This was the first time we had visited from the moment you walk in there is a feeling of warmth, homeliness and general well-being. The premises is like a quality all-inclusive holiday resort. The staff from cleaners through to manager are genuinely caring and loving. It is a place I could not recommend
highly enough. The person we visited is so happy living there. If either my wife or I ever need care then Seagrave House is the one for us.

My aunt is now in her second month as a resident at Seagrave House.
She suffers from Alzheimer's, and struggles to properly care for herself but still has the desire to feel independent. It was a big family decision to move her into a Residential Care Home but have to say that she could not be in
a better place now.
She has fitted in quickly and enjoys mixing with both staff and residents. Staff work very hard attending to everyone's needs in a very friendly and caring manner.
My aunt happily feels part of the Seagrave House "family" now.
Her room and the ensuite toilet and shower room are perfect and overall the standard of all facilities in Seagrave House is top quality.
There are good varied meal options and the creative kitchen will try to satisfy everyone's tastes.
There are also plenty of activities to do - something for everyone.
In summary, I would find it hard to criticise anything at Seagrave House. It's better than we could have imagined.

Feeling the weight of such an important decision, my sister and I turned up unannounced at Seagrave House.
The staff member at reception asked the manager if she could have a word with us; the manager was busy but said she would be available in 15 minutes. The receptionist showed us around. I was totally
impressed by everything from the staff, cleanliness, activities, decor, gardens and security.
They were both so lovely. My aunt went into Seagrave House, and I could not believe the change in her. From not wanting to eat, she was now eating three courses. She tells me, "it's more like living in a hotel rather than a care home, and they are all so lovely here, they can't do enough for you".
They clean her room, change her bed, do her laundry, give her medication and keep her safe. When we visit, she no longer gets embarrassed watching us clean her house.
I want to thank all the staff for their kindness and compassion shown to my aunt, and hope this review helps others make a difficult decision easier.
