Anchor's Savile Park is located at the centre of the Halifax community and provides friendly and comfortable residential and dementia care for up to 55 residents in single rooms. Built-in bedroom furniture and en suite wet rooms are provided as standard. The home continues to welcome new residents for quality residential and residential dementia care.

The dedicated care team take the time to get to know each individual and work with them and their loved ones to create detailed care plans to ensure their care needs are continually met. They pride themselves in dementia care and provide on-going training to ensure their approach is best for customers living with dementia.

They work hard to get to know customers, build relationships and ensure all aspects of the service they provide is focused on individual and compassionate care.

Anchor is England’s largest provider of housing and care for those over 55 years of age and has 60 years of experience as a not-for-profit provider of services to older people.

very pleased by the care provided, my parents are always treated as individuals and not just numbers.
The food is always excellent with a good choice.

Very pleased that my father was cared for at this home for the last three years of his life. The administration and some of the care team leaders and care staff were especially caring and looked after him as if he were their own family.

Front of house person is a star. Always happy, very helpful and welcoming. She is a genuine asset. Supervises have always communicated well on my mum’s needs and any changes that happen. This here is a good place to be for conditions my mum suffered.

While I appreciate the need for a necessary amount of paperwork needs to be carried out (client-daily records), I feel the balance is too biased towards clerical demands when clients are left unattended, and their needs are not being met because of this. Care, when given, is to a good standard, but
there is not enough of it.

My mother moved into Savile Park care home in August 2020. This was during the Covid pandemic, and I was unable to look around the home prior to her move due to lockdown restrictions. She remained at Savile Park until her death in May 2023. I was always struck by the friendliness of all the staff and
their care and support for my mother, who had dementia. End-of-life care was exemplary. Many thanks to all staff at Savile Park!

It was a relief to find somewhere for respite care for Mum following a stay in the hospital. Although now back in her own home, we would have no hesitation in returning to Savile Park if and when being at home became impossible. Mum was safe, cared for and was able t miss with others. I appreciated
not having to worry about her for a few months, knowing she was in a good care home.

Sadly my father did not have very long in the home but he was very well looked after. The home is very nicely arranged with privacy if required but plenty of communal areas. The food was excellent and all the staff were very welcoming and caring. I felt very confident that my father was being well looked

My mother was among many who had to find a forever home following the callous tactics of her previous care home.
Every senior member of staff went above and beyond to facilitate my mother's relocation. She has been here for about a year now. I can truthfully say it was the best thing that could ever
have happened.
Every member of staff is caring, approachable and friendly. Nothing too much trouble. Mum looks so much more like her old self. She is immaculately turned out, appropriately dressed for the temperature, and clean and tidy. The staff are kindness itself.
The building is immaculate, with no tired, dirty furniture or carpets, but modern, cosy, clean, and spacious. Lovely wide corridors and quiet rooms. Even the bathrooms are immaculate and warm no matter when we visit.
The food is very nice, and drinks are always available.
My mum now has quite advanced dementia and poor mobility. I am kept updated, and she is relaxed and seems happy, as are my cousin and I when visiting. Excellent all-round!

Following a stroke and in the middle of Covid, my mum (now 93) was not coping with living alone with daily carer visits. Living over 200 miles away, I was very pleased to find her a place at Savile Park. She is well looked after and in a safe environment. Her health has improved with good nutrition,
and I feel confident she is in good hands when I am far away. She loves being helped into a bath (hated showers), and personal services like hair, nails, eye care, dental and chiropody are all arranged for her on-site.

My dear friend has now lived at Savile Park throughout the Covid-19 pandemic, and I cannot express how amazing all the team are. Nothing is ever too much bother, and despite all the changes they have to make daily around Covid, they continue to smile and most importantly, care. I am always greeted with
a genuinely friendly welcome, and staff are always helpful with making sure we are signed in and safe when visiting. It is wonderful to be able to visit again and join in with the activities, there are some wonderful singers, and we really enjoyed the opera for a birthday party. My friend is well cared for and happy in her home, and I know if I need care, I will be choosing this home.

Modern, clean building and excellent facilities. Pleasant lounges and my aunt's room is comfortable and large enough for her own armchair, plus bed, etc. The staff are very caring and adapt well to the needs of my aunt as her health has deteriorated. Covid has unfortunately curtailed social activities.
Hopefully, these can be resumed in some form at the right time. I have no concerns but would feel comfortable raising any issues with the manager or any of the staff.

It was at the height of Covid restrictions, and my daughter and I were caring for our relative at home. We were unable to look around care homes with the imposed restrictions but had heard nothing but good comments from other people who had connections with Savile Park. We were aware that being purpose-built,
it was modern with excellent facilities. It is actually just like being in a hotel. It was also in the area with which my aunt lived and was familiar with. Prior to coming to Savile Park, we were told she had days to live and was receiving end-of-life care. She rallied and was subsequently admitted to the home. It is a testament to the excellent care that she received, that she was still with us 20 months later. The staff on reception are efficient and friendly, and the carers kind and considerate to patients and relatives often under very difficult circumstances. No hesitation in recommending Savile Park.

My father passed away on the 13th of April 2022. He entered Savile Park care home on the 19th of November after a long stay in hospital. At 96-years of age, my dad found it all very upsetting, strange and different, but Savile Park addressed all those things. They looked after him, talked to him, made
him cups of tea, forever at his request and called the doctor/ambulance when he was ill. Thank you so much for making me welcome too.

Dad was resident in Savile Park for just over 2-years moving in just months before Coronavirus took hold, which meant we had a limited time being with Dad in the home before it was locked down, but our first impressions were good. The staff gave us great confidence that Dad was being well looked after,
and during the restrictions, the staff always did their best to ensure we could be there for him. We could see he was comfortable and safe in very difficult circumstances. It was little things such as just knowing he could have his favourite fish and chips on a Friday that helped him feel at home. Unfortunately, his health deteriorated, and he went into end of life care. At this time, the staff were really amazing in both caring for and being there for Dad, then enabling us to be there with him in his last few days. The facilities are great, but it's the care of the staff that really matters, and that's what made Savile Park a lovely home for our Dad. I would highly recommend it to anyone.

My mum was in Savile Park for 27-months, mostly during Covid times. All the staff were so caring throughout, not to mention professional, knowledgeable and on the ball – spotting any health changes immediately and dealing with them appropriately. Their food is of ‘homemade’ quality and there is always
a choice. The home is kept clean and tidy. There has always been a friendly, welcoming atmosphere. The management is very approachable and available when required, offering advice and support when necessary. Throughout Covid, the whole team have been amazing, keeping residents stimulated with extra activities and enabling visitor contact in whatever format was allowed at the time. I once said to Mum “if you can’t be in your own home any longer, I think you’re in the next best place.” Her reply, without any hesitation, was “yes, I think I am.” To me, that says it all.
