Following a stroke and in the middle of Covid, my mum (now 93) was not coping with living alone with daily carer visits. Living over 200 miles away, I was very pleased to find her a place at Savile Park. She is well looked after and in a safe environment. Her health has improved with good nutrition, and I feel confident she is in good hands when I am far away. She loves being helped into a bath (hated showers), and personal services like hair, nails, eye care, dental and chiropody are all arranged for her on-site.

My dear friend has now lived at Savile Park throughout the Covid-19 pandemic, and I cannot express how amazing all the team are. Nothing is ever too much bother, and despite all the changes they have to make daily around Covid, they continue to smile and most importantly, care. I am always greeted with a genuinely friendly welcome, and staff are always helpful with making sure we are signed in and safe when visiting. It is wonderful to be able to visit again and join in with the activities, there are some wonderful singers, and we really enjoyed the opera for a birthday party. My friend is well cared for and happy in her home, and I know if I need care, I will be choosing this home.

Modern, clean building and excellent facilities. Pleasant lounges and my aunt's room is comfortable and large enough for her own armchair, plus bed, etc. The staff are very caring and adapt well to the needs of my aunt as her health has deteriorated. Covid has unfortunately curtailed social activities. Hopefully, these can be resumed in some form at the right time. I have no concerns but would feel comfortable raising any issues with the manager or any of the staff.

It was at the height of Covid restrictions, and my daughter and I were caring for our relative at home. We were unable to look around care homes with the imposed restrictions but had heard nothing but good comments from other people who had connections with Savile Park. We were aware that being purpose-built, it was modern with excellent facilities. It is actually just like being in a hotel. It was also in the area with which my aunt lived and was familiar with. Prior to coming to Savile Park, we were told she had days to live and was receiving end-of-life care. She rallied and was subsequently admitted to the home. It is a testament to the excellent care that she received, that she was still with us 20 months later. The staff on reception are efficient and friendly, and the carers kind and considerate to patients and relatives often under very difficult circumstances. No hesitation in recommending Savile Park.

My father passed away on the 13th of April 2022. He entered Savile Park care home on the 19th of November after a long stay in hospital. At 96-years of age, my dad found it all very upsetting, strange and different, but Savile Park addressed all those things. They looked after him, talked to him, made him cups of tea, forever at his request and called the doctor/ambulance when he was ill. Thank you so much for making me welcome too.

Dad was resident in Savile Park for just over 2-years moving in just months before Coronavirus took hold, which meant we had a limited time being with Dad in the home before it was locked down, but our first impressions were good. The staff gave us great confidence that Dad was being well looked after, and during the restrictions, the staff always did their best to ensure we could be there for him. We could see he was comfortable and safe in very difficult circumstances. It was little things such as just knowing he could have his favourite fish and chips on a Friday that helped him feel at home. Unfortunately, his health deteriorated, and he went into end of life care. At this time, the staff were really amazing in both caring for and being there for Dad, then enabling us to be there with him in his last few days. The facilities are great, but it's the care of the staff that really matters, and that's what made Savile Park a lovely home for our Dad. I would highly recommend it to anyone.

My mum was in Savile Park for 27-months, mostly during Covid times. All the staff were so caring throughout, not to mention professional, knowledgeable and on the ball – spotting any health changes immediately and dealing with them appropriately. Their food is of ‘homemade’ quality and there is always a choice. The home is kept clean and tidy. There has always been a friendly, welcoming atmosphere. The management is very approachable and available when required, offering advice and support when necessary. Throughout Covid, the whole team have been amazing, keeping residents stimulated with extra activities and enabling visitor contact in whatever format was allowed at the time. I once said to Mum “if you can’t be in your own home any longer, I think you’re in the next best place.” Her reply, without any hesitation, was “yes, I think I am.” To me, that says it all.

The care home always looked very nice, clean and tidy. The staff were absolutely amazing and always took the time to look after my grandma through the good days and bad. From my times visiting, I got to know a number of the staff well and could always rely on them for an update, but always knowing my grandma was in good hands.

Savile Park Care Home is an exceptionally safe, wonderful and compassionate residence. My brother and I are forever grateful to the amazing management and staff who looked after mother for almost two years helping her initially to adjust to her new life and then caringly and with much sensitivity as her dementia gathered pace. The home is exceptionally clean and well presented and was always a happy place to be. Mother was very particular about her hygiene and appearance and all the residents including mother were always clean, tidy and well-presented. Mother was a person that liked good quality food and drink which was of great importance to her. The meals are of the highest quality and variety and she told us so. Mother passed away but my brother and I remain eternally grateful to the family and staff at Savile Park who treated mum with the utmost respect, affection and kindness throughout her stay and as the end arrived with wonderful caring and dignity. Nothing was too much trouble to make mother comfortable throughout. My lasting memory was on her Birthday, the chef made the most wonderful Birthday cake for her and she laughed and was so pleased and had the biggest smile ever.

Dad was a resident at Savile Park for only 4-months, and we are so grateful that he was able to spend his last few months in such a superb home with very kind, caring and understanding staff. The staff were proactive in addressing Dad’s changing needs as his health deteriorated. The palliative care was excellent, and the family were well cared for and supported during this very difficult time.

Thank you to each and every member of the Savile Park team. We do not hesitate in recommending this home.

My husband recently went into Savile Park care home, and as you can imagine, it was a very stressful and worrying time not only for him but also for the family. The staff and carers are amazing, nothing is too much trouble for them. They are very understanding and deal with challenging moments in a caring and respectful manner. The food is lovely, and there is plenty of choices. If anyone is having to consider a home for a family member, I would highly recommend Savile Park care home.

From the moment you walk through the door at Savile Park, you get a warm welcome. The home is very spacious and homely. I have two parents in the home, one has dementia and the other is sound of mind. I think, when you look at care homes you worry how your loved ones are looked after when you are not there and there may be a different side to the home and or care when you leave. Well, my very sound of mind parent can tell you, you have no need to worry at Savile Park. You see what you get, everyone is genuine, kind, thoughtful and caring. I can honestly say the staff here go the extra mile. Any concerns you may have, speak to the staff, don't worry unnecessarily they will put your mind at rest and overcome any issues. The hardest decision I have ever made was placing my parents in care but Savile Park was the best decision.

My grandma and grandad both now live at Savile Park. There is a reason we wanted my grandad to join - this care home has been so fantastic with Grandma. Their staff are amazing and so dedicated. They take time to understand each resident's needs. Get to know their family members and make them feel comfortable at times, which could be terribly difficult. The facilities are second to none - make sure the residents have everything required. Love the Facebook updates and window visits have made lockdown so much easier. Thank you!

My husband came into Savile Park care home in June 2020, the worst possible year. I felt like I had abandoned him, but I also felt that the care he received was second to none. It was very hard not being able to go into his room and talk to him and not easy to talk to him through glass or a screen. He has Alzheimer's and just didn't understand. He died on the 12th of April - a happy at ease from a horrible illness.
