My Grandma has now had 3 short stays at Savile Park during the Covid pandemic to allow us some time to recoup. Each time, Granny was so well cared for that she has been reluctant to come back home. The staff and management are excellent and so kind and the Home has a well organised and planned admission and stay process and although Granny has to spend the first few weeks in her room she says the staff are always with her and she has never felt lonely. Communication has been superb, with the staff sending daily updates of Granny and utilising social media to the full. We have been unable to visit the home but Granny says there is so much to do and loved visiting the hair salon and being pampered. Without a doubt, Granny will be returning to Savile Park as we are confident that she is safe and well cared for.

Since my mother entered Savile Park some 4 or 5 years ago now, the standard of care has been at all times excellent. The staff are always pleasant and on the odd occasions where assistance has been required (the lost teeth saga), they have stepped up and helped find an equitable solution. During the recent Covid situation all the staff have responded very professionally to an extremely challenging state of affairs. I cannot praise their patience enough and my mother, who has been known to be less than cordial at times, always gets the best of care.

My mother has been a resident at Savile Park for three years and has always received wonderful care. Her health has been in decline for the last few months, and the staff and management could not have been more caring and professional. Her personal care plan is perfect for her needs, the tie-up and liaison with the district nurses are excellent and our family are relieved and confident that she is getting the very best of care available.

We are as a family very appreciative and would commend the staff on the updates and information given to us at this very difficult time. The photographs and care information given to us has been a great comfort to know that Mum is in such good hands.

This is a bright, warm and welcoming place to live, with spacious rooms and corridors, a pleasant enclosed garden and lots of facilities, even a large room laid out as a pub, ideal for a get-together, concerts and parties. The staff are outstanding - unfailingly kind, cheerful, patient and caring. They know their residents well and arrange activities they will enjoy. During the virus lockdown, the staff worked incredibly hard to keep residents in contact with family and friends through telephone and Skype calls, and as soon as safely possible set up well organised outdoor visits. We cannot thank them enough for their excellent care and support.

Extremely caring end of life support to Dad and family. Helpful and responsive staff improved a sad and difficult occasion. Would not hesitate to recommend this care home - just wish our Dad could have had more time to enjoy the activities/facilities there.

The best care home. Staff treat residents with care, compassion and dignity. Mum liked to laugh and was very mischievous, staff knew this and adapted to mum to get the best out of her (as she could be rather aggressive). The cleanliness of Savile Park id outstanding. Can not fault the manager, she has a difficult role, very hands-on. A particular member of staff was a joy. Mum didn't take part in activities lately.

Having been round several homes, we found this to be the most inviting and comfortable, which we considered as part of the 'home for home' life. The staff are caring and very friendly, this is what you need when other than yourself, is looking after your family member.

The staff at Savile Park are extremely professional, caring and do a great job from cleaning staff up to management level. The staff make you happy knowing how well looked after my mother is and I'm always greeted with a smile by professional staff. They work extremely hard. They could do with being paid a lot more for all their efforts.

This care home was recommended to me and I will gladly recommend it to others and done on many occasions.

My relative was a resident at Savile Park Care Home for over 5 years. The care that she received was exemplary and she appeared to be happy, despite her dementia and difficulties with mobility. I visited regularly, and I never observed staff treating residents poorly in any way; the patience and empathy they showed in all circumstances I observed, was a credit to them.
My relative was at risk of pressure lesions because of her frailty and difficulties with mobility and communication; due to the care shown, pressure sores were avoided with the exception of a small lesion on her ankle associated with MRSA that was not acquired in the home: the lesion was successfully treated.

The care shown in her final days was exceptional.

The staff were caring and very helpful. Meals were well cooked and tasty with plenty of choice. Staff listened and acted accordingly to suggestions we made about clothes, drinks, TV etc.

We rang daily to speak to my mother-in-law from the states and the staff were happy to take the phone to her to speak to us. At 103 years old we were very happy to know she was being taken care of so efficiently whilst we were away. The establishment and her room were cosy and spotless.

We cannot thank the staff who work at Savile Park in Halifax enough for all they did for our mum and us. They went above and beyond any expectation. I shall contact the home with individuals names, and hope they're absolutely commended for their amazing work:

The care, dignity and support offered to my mum, my family and my mum's friends by this place has been amazing, it is secondary to none. As a family, we are blown away by how much we've been helped through a very difficult time. We all have people that may need to be cared for with dignity at some stage and we all could be the ones needing the care!
