Overall Experience
My 87 year old mum lived in High Wycombe, some 2 hours away from us in Corby so when the decision was made by mum to go into a care home the search started.
We checked many in Corby, then Kettering. We stopped looking when we found Elm Bank, the facility is extremely clean, bright and spacious and we knew we would not be able to find better!
The staff are all exceptionally caring people that are highly motivated to provide a safe and secure environment for my mum.
Nothing is too much trouble!
The manager and assist manager have an extremely high level of compassion, understanding, knowledge and ability and this cascades down thru the staff!
The facility is spotlessly clean, smells fresh and is set in beautiful grounds.
My mum was in a warden controlled flat, she has been at Elm Bank for 4 days and we are already seeing improvements in her health, I attribute this to the facility, staff and the high quality of food!

I would suggest to anyone needing to go thru this process, visit Elm Bank first and talk to the staff - you will not look anywhere else!

Hello, my name is Tina and I am the Activities Coordinator here at Elm Bank Care Home.

I joined Elm Bank in May 2023 as a Team Leader soon becoming the Head of Care before moving to the role of Activities Coordinator and leading the team in January 2024. My passion is to provide life-enriching activities that enhance the lives of our residents.

By providing entertainment that is not only stimulating but person-centred. Our weekly calendar offers rich experiences with music from live entertainers, visits to various locations outside the home of interest, as well as arts and crafts tailored to individual abilities. We are a pet-friendly home and fully support the benefits animal therapy can bring to the lives of our residents and welcome animals of all kinds to the home regularly.

Getting to know our residents better is so important, and through regular family and friends meetings, we can gain a greater understanding of their loved one's interests and lives before joining Elm Bank which will make for a richer activities program to be developed. I look forward to getting to know you, and your loved ones.

We are always open to new ideas. If you would like to get involved in any of our Life Enrichment activities or have a skill, or project you'd like to share with our residents, please email...

Isabel CarlisleJob Title:ReceptionistJoined: 2011

Hello. I am Isabel. I have been a team member at Elm Bank since 2010. I began my career in care homes in 2007.

As the first point of contact, I have the pleasure of meeting our residents and their families on a daily basis. It is important to me that families and residents see a familiar face, especially for new residents, where I can provide reassurance. I know this can be such a big step and a turning point in their lives. In my role, I also support with enquiries and conduct show rounds. I love to show the home off! I also ensure that all visitors are welcomed into the home and support our fabulous activities team.

We welcome local community groups to use our lounges for group sessions. Please pop in and have a chat with me, as I enjoy meeting people and I'm always proud to show people around Elm Bank. Every day is different here!

I am an avid reader of history, and this can build a rapport with many of our residents who reminisce about their lives and who also have a love for history. I share the same family values that I see from our residents' families when visiting their loved ones in the home, through the love of spending time with my family and grandchildren, which is very important to me. I have recently re-joined the Skittle team and enjoy social time.

I make a special point of welcoming all new residents to our home and helping them to settle in. I am very proud to be part of Elm Bank as we are all cared for like family.
