My husband has just had a very happy week's respite at Lincombe Manor. He is disabled with advanced Parkinson's Disease but still has full mental capacity and his needs were catered for perfectly. We have never come across such friendly and caring staff and would not hesitate to recommend it as a care home of excellent. If he's happy, I'm happy - which means I can have some much needed Rest and Recuperation with complete peace of mind. Thank you one and all at Lincombe Manor - we'll be back!

Thank you so much for your wonderful review. The team will be so proud when I share your kind words with them. They try exceptionally hard to make every moment of every residents stay as perfect as possible. I am thrilled you had the opportunity to rest and recharge your batteries in the knowledge that your husband was safe in our hands for the week. Looking forward to seeing you both soon.

My father lived in Lincombe Manor just short of a month. He came for respite care but his heart was failing which was having an effect on his independent lifestyle. I cannot express how wonderful all the staff were from the first enquiry until we came to say our farewells.
The place is everything a care home should be - professional, clean, caring and excellent, kind staff.
Above all, the place is run with a 'resident first' mindset. It is rare to find such high standards and exceptional service in this sector.

My sister and I are so grateful that our beloved father passed in a safe, dignified environment.

My Grannie was 93 when she had 5 mini strokes, after 3 weeks in hospital she went to Lincombe Manor. The nurses were fabulous and got her eating some food (which we never thought would happen), her quality of life in her last days increased ten fold and we are very grateful to everyone who worked there who looked after her. Everything was thought about, even small things like washing her hair which she would have enjoyed so much. The Manor is beautiful and so clean and tidy. Thank you for looking after her so well. I would 100% recommend.

I cannot find fault with any aspect of Lincombe Manor Care Home. Management, administration, nursing and all ancillary support inspire confidence in commitment, motivation, care, activities, rapid response etc. There is so much I commend across the board.

My mother aged 91, originally came to stay at Lincombe Manor Care Centre in June 2017 for a month's holiday. Leaving behind her own flat and the assistance of 2 carers - 4 times a day. However, after experiencing the care, support and quality of life that Lincombe Manor Care Centre offers, she did not want to go home. Seven months later, my mum is thriving in the wonderful environment. I cannot speak highly enough of all the staff who work there. They treat her as an individual and with dignity. Nothing is too much trouble. I visit my mum at least 3 or 4 times a week and in all those visits, I have never found anything to cause any concern at all. In the reception area, it says 'Welcome to our home' and that is what it is. When mum first came here, I never envisaged the difference the love, care and support of this wonderful team could make to mum's life. She has a quality of life now and so enjoys the entertainment that they bring in-house and opportunities to go out.

First impressions were fantastic its in a stunning place with fantastic views. The staff were very pleasant and friendly and the home was clean and tidy. The down side which was a very big one, was that my aunt was bed nursed stuck in the room with very little interaction from the staff. I arrived at 11.45am one morning to find my aunt not washed or dressed with her breakfast down her front, it would be hours in between anyone popping in to check on her. The log that's kept will confirm this, for £1000 a week this was unacceptable and we couldn't wait to get her home.

Overall Experience
My wife arrived towards the end of May and has been made to feel most welcome and cared for, our family and friends have also received a warm welcome from all of the staff from the Management, Nursing, Care Staff, Catering and Support Staff.
This has been a very difficult time but the staff have helped make the transition as seamless as possible.
The look of accommodation is more like a boutique hotel compared to other care homes we looked at, bright, very clean good size rooms all en suite, with Flat screen TV's and wonderful views over Torbay.
Having looked at quite a few nursing homes and brochures then visiting the homes the feeling of being under whelmed and in some cases very disappointed as the brochures made them look better than they where and once visited, feeling very worried about the situation we found ourselves in until I compared the Lincombe Manor brochure with its facilities/equipment. They have a very good brochure but feel it does not do the home or facilities justice, add to this the positive attitude of the staff we met on our unannounced fact-finding visits.
Don't take my word go along and see for yourself.
There is a spacious dining and kitchen area with an adjoining terrace with tables and chairs on the lower level.
On the ground floor, there is a comfortable quiet room with ample seating.
And on the top floor, there is a wonderful lounge, and dining area plus a spectacular roof terrace with tables and chairs and far-reaching views over Torbay towards Brixham and Thatcher Rock.

I cannot recommend Lincombe Manor Care Centre highly enough. (We have even had doctors and health care professionals comment that this is the standard all homes should aim/aspire to reach).
