Swinton Grange

Came to visit my grandad, he looks well, he’s safe and his his health has improved greatly due to the care and nursing he receives at this care home! Thankful for all the staff here well done everyone!

It’s safe to say I’m happy with my grandad's placement and know he is being cared for.

I would recommend this home wholeheartedly and thank them for the care they are giving my aunt.

My uncle lives in Swintongrange. The staff are amazing and very welcoming. The home is lovely and well-managed. The food is very good, and they always ask if we would like to eat with our family members. The home is dementia friendly, and they all do a great job all-round. The home is very clean, and nothing is to much trouble for the staff - they are truly amazing.

I and my son and daughter-in-law visited Swinton Grange on the 6th of October to view the home and the room he was going to stay in. We were made very welcome by all members of staff. Then on the 17th of October was transferred to Swinton and when visiting him on the 20th of October there was a big change in him, he was happy in himself, my husband hadn't smiled at me for over a year and it was like a miracle had taken place in him. I can't say how grateful I am to all the staff for the wonderful change in him. I now know he will be cared for.

All the staff are lovely and my aunt is so much happier there. The meals are delicious and my aunt is gaining weight. Every carer that I’ve met has been friendly, helpful and so upbeat and positive! Couldn’t be any better in my opinion.

My husband has been in the care home for over a year and I can honestly say I could not fault the care that’s given to him. All the staff at the home are excellent and very caring. It is exceptionally clean and the food is second to none with a variable menu and well-presented. My husband suffered from having two strokes and needs 24/7 care and I couldn’t wish for a better team of caring people to look after him. I would highly recommend Swinton Grange Care Home.

As my wife has only been a resident for a few weeks, we are still learning about the home. Our first visit, my son and I were shown around and shown my wife's room, since she moved we have found the staff, from management to everyone else, to be helpful, they always seem happy and will stop and have a chat with you. If you want anything it is seen to as soon as possible. The food is very good and everywhere is clean. There are activities we haven't caught up with yet, but we have seen a slight improvement in my wife so this will soon come. We are satisfied she is being well looked after.

My father-in-law came here from the hospital. Can not put one fault in this place, and the staff are absolutely amazing with him. The staff are very welcoming, and I would recommend it to anyone that would be looking for a dementia care home.

This home provides the safety and quality of care that both residents and their families should expect.

Mum has been at Swinton for over twelve months. The care given by staff is excellent, and they keep relatives informed regularly. We are really happy with the care and support offered by the team. Please pass on our thanks to the staff.

My grandad has been a resident here for eight months, and it has been amazing to watch what they have done with him - it is incredible - from not being able to walk to them having him walking with a small time frame. The whole hospitality side of it, from the clean room, clothes and food, is impeccable, and it’s always a pleasure to come to visit him.

My mum has been at the Swinton Grange nursing home for the last 17 months and has become peaceful and happy during that time. The staff are well experienced in dementia care and have been helpful when asked. We are very grateful as a family to know she is safe and well cared for.

My grandad came to Swinton Grange Nursing Home two years ago during Covid, and even during difficult times with restrictions etc, the staff have been very accommodating and understanding and kept us well informed. My grandad is very happy in their care and is well looked after; there’s always staff around if we need to ask anything, who are very friendly and helpful.

I have to say I visited my uncle today and was amazed at how well he looked. He suffers from vascular dementia, and it goes to show the care he is receiving. We had our visit in the activities room, and I was there to assist him with his lunch which was braised steak, vegetables, roast potatoes and Yorkshire pudding. It was well presented to him by the care assistant. The meal was that good; I wished I was having it myself. The home is spotless, and the domestics do a fantastic job; there is no odour on entry, not like the other home he was in. It is a sterling job the new manager has done to turn it around. Well done to all, and the staff are a credit to the group.

I am happy that, at last, my friend is being cared for in a quality home close to his friend and relatives. Well done to all the staff at Swinton Grange.

My mother has been a resident of the care home for the last nine years. She has severe dementia and, at times, has exhibited very demanding behaviour. The staff and management throughout the years have been fantastic with both my mum and me, and without their amazing support, I would not have gotten through this. They are very kind and gentle and have enormous amounts of compassion and understanding. The care and patience they show are to be recommended.

My dad has been here for 5fivemonths now. He is well-settled and as happy as he can be. After stays in several different homes, we love Swinton Grange. Good clean facilities, friendly, patient staff and excellent communication between the home and ourselves. We have had a few small dramas and all have been dealt efficiently and with great kindness. Nothing seems to be too much trouble. Cannot wait for visiting restrictions to be relaxed.

All the workers at Swinton Grange, domestic staff, carers, nursing staff and management are at all times professional, friendly, supportive and approachable. They have all become my lifeline since my husband became a resident several months ago. His care has been exemplary in every aspect of his many needs. The home is bright, colourful, and beautifully kept with a lovely atmosphere. A pleasure always to visit.
