Fairway View

We are very pleased he is being looked after so well, it gives me and my wife peace of mind.

The moral seems to be higher and the residents are receiving the best care. Staff at the home all go the extra mile to ensure residents needs are covered and all are dedicated to making sure their lives are comfortable and happy. On behalf of my mum who has lived at Fairway View for over five years a big thank you because without the special care and love of the staff, she wouldn't be her today.

My mum has been a resident of Fairway View Bulwell, since Jan 2017. She has settled down well and seems to be content there. The staff and management are approachable and caring. Any queries or issues that need solving are dealt with promptly. A monthly residents/management meeting helps to raise current issues (I attended my first meeting in March). One of the items I asked for was a dry wipe memo board to be installed in rooms for families to communicate with the room carer which was done within the week. That way new carers could see routine requests at a glance to maintain continuity. There are activities daily, including singers which my mum as a partially sighted, hard of hearing dementia patient really enjoys. My niece and I joined my mum for a special 3-course dinner plus harpist recently which was as good as any paid restaurant! The daily food is delicious and nutritious. The rooms are bright, clean and comfortable.

My mother has lived at Fairway since August last year. Since that time, she has always been well cared for. We chose Fairway because of the atmosphere and the activities on offer. These are so important to keep residents active physically and mentally. Things have improved a lot under the present management. Activities are more regular. The care records have also improved - again so important when residents can't answer for themselves. The food is freshly cooked and appears to be well balanced. Every effort is made to make the residents feel at home. An area that staff are working on is communication. Not easy with so much shift work. As a visitor, I am always made to feel welcome.

Since the new manager has taken over at Fairway View, the place has changed for the better, I hope this continues, the staff are all lovely and I trust them to look after my mum. Six months ago I would not have recommended this care home, but now I would without hesitation please keep up the good work.

This care home is a place that I would highly recommend to people in need. The staff from the receptionist to the management are friendly and understand both the residents and their families needs. The building is clean and well run by all the staff.

Disappointed in the administration skills at head office. Hopefully, next correspondence will have mum's correct name.

Excellent service, always clean and tidy. Very good spread of food when we came to scatter my wife's aunt's ashes and unveil her bench. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff.

My Mother was very happy at Fairway View. She passed away on 15-07-16. Today we have scattered her ashes in the gardens. The day has been made extra special due to the service of the staff and all the extras provided. I would like thank everyone for looking after Mum and treating her with the greatest of respect and dignity.

I came to visit my sister a few times and she was always well looked after. Her room was always nice. When we came to unveil my sister's bench we were very well looked after. The staff were helpful and the food was very nice. A very nice spread.

It has been a lovely experience for my Gran being here. She was well cared for and it was a pleasure visiting.

I am very happy with the staff and care that my Nannie received. The staff are friendly and welcoming. I can't say a bad thing about my experience.

Excellent care for my Grandma. Even provided food and drink when we returned to scatter her ashes in the garden.

For the few years my Mum was in the care home, I must say that the care was of great quality and the staff treated Mum with respect and dignity.

All the care staff have been amazing; they care for the residents and always go that extra mile. The sing-along nights made the residents come alive. Excellent activities, extra activities at Christmas, Easter, Valentines etc. I would recommend Fairway View because the staff care.

The staff cared very well for my grandmother and it was very heart warming knowing that she is being well cared for. The staff were excellent during the time my Nannie stayed at Fairway View. I would highly recommend this care home to anyone as it is exceptional.

My sister and I are really happy with the care home and all the staff. We know our dad is looked after well and treated with respect and dignity. Everyone is kind, helpful and caring. There is good communication and kept up to date. Our dad is seen by various outside agencies e.g. doctor, chiropodist, dementia specialists and optician etc. He settled in with lots of support from everyone. He loves his room and enjoys all the meals which look delicious.

Most entertainment still upstairs, unfair on resident who likes it, she taps her feet. Staff are fantastic, cannot fault any of them. Mum has really settled well. She is really happy. My only fault is the garden area, looks very unkempt, overgrown trees. no view, need to approach the council.

Though my mother was only in for a few weeks the staff were excellent with her and very caring and when she passed away the staff were very supportive to me and couldn't have been more helpful.
