The management team and staff treated my husband with respect and dignity and love from the moment he joined Fairway View.
The room was kept clean and tidy at all times and the food was very good.
I joined my husband for Sunday Lunch during his time there and it was delicious.
Each and every member
of staff also treated me with respect during what was a very difficult time, they were all very kind and extremely helpful.

My grandmother had dementia and was loved and cared for at this delightful home. I use the word home very carefully as that is what it was. We searched for the right place for my grandmother and struck lucky with Fairway View. The building is warm, cosy and welcoming, as are the rooms. Care is genuine,
kind and compassionate. The food is all home cooked, plentiful, varied and of a good quality. Likes and dislikes are noticed and catered for. Even the kitchen staff join in celebrations and know the residents personally. Visitors are welcomed and are frequent because of this. Fairview is a God send and I would highly recommend it for your loved ones. This is what care should look like!

The home is very welcoming and friendly, they look after our dad very well, he is treated with love and dignity by all the staff and I feel if we can speak to anyone about dad and they will be very helpful and reassuring. We know if anything is wrong with dad they would call medical help without delay
as they have in the past. We are very pleased that dad is able to be in Fairway View.

I find all staff to be helpful in all my dealings with them. In spite of my mother being a difficult person to deal with a lot of the time, the staff are always very good in dealing with her.

The care staff are excellent - know the residents well and treat them all with respect and with care, appropriate to their specific physical and mental health needs. The home is always clean; activities in-house and out and about are plentiful. Residents can sit out and enjoy the gardens. Food is
excellent, with individual dietary needs catered for. Staff keep family informed and are always on hand. They address any issues you may have promptly.


There is good practice in safeguarding. There is ongoing liaison with medical and social care resources within the community. The home has a relaxed and secure atmosphere.


The new manager has made a huge difference to the atmosphere within the home. Staff appear happier and more focused - which clearly benefits the residents. Several staff have said how dementia care training has helped them to better understand care needs.


It makes for one big happy family. We feel blessed that Mum is able to live at Fairway View.

The staff are very friendly, helpful and always keep us up to date on our father's health and any treatment if he requires it. They do many activities with the residents and keep them active and happy. The home is very clean and Dad always looks very smart, clean and tidy.

Since the new manager has taken over the home is such a happy place to live and work in.
The moral seems to be higher and the residents are receiving the best care. Staff at the home all go the extra mile to ensure residents needs are covered and all are dedicated to making sure their lives are comfortable
and happy. On behalf of my mum who has lived at Fairway View for over five years a big thank you because without the special care and love of the staff, she wouldn't be her today.

My mum has been a resident of Fairway View Bulwell, since Jan 2017. She has settled down well and seems to be content there. The staff and management are approachable and caring. Any queries or issues that need solving are dealt with promptly. A monthly residents/management meeting helps to raise current
issues (I attended my first meeting in March). One of the items I asked for was a dry wipe memo board to be installed in rooms for families to communicate with the room carer which was done within the week. That way new carers could see routine requests at a glance to maintain continuity. There are activities daily, including singers which my mum as a partially sighted, hard of hearing dementia patient really enjoys. My niece and I joined my mum for a special 3-course dinner plus harpist recently which was as good as any paid restaurant! The daily food is delicious and nutritious. The rooms are bright, clean and comfortable.

My mother has lived at Fairway since August last year. Since that time, she has always been well cared for. We chose Fairway because of the atmosphere and the activities on offer. These are so important to keep residents active physically and mentally. Things have improved a lot under the present
management. Activities are more regular. The care records have also improved - again so important when residents can't answer for themselves. The food is freshly cooked and appears to be well balanced. Every effort is made to make the residents feel at home. An area that staff are working on is communication. Not easy with so much shift work. As a visitor, I am always made to feel welcome.

Since the new manager has taken over at Fairway View, the place has changed for the better, I hope this continues, the staff are all lovely and I trust them to look after my mum. Six months ago I would not have recommended this care home, but now I would without hesitation please keep up the good work.

Very satisfied with the level of care received over short period mum has been a resident.
Staff are very obliging. Plenty of activities if interested.
Disappointed in the administration skills at head office. Hopefully, next correspondence will have mum's correct name.

Excellent service, always clean and tidy. Very good spread of food when we came to scatter my wife's aunt's ashes and unveil her bench. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff.

My Mother was very happy at Fairway View. She passed away on 15-07-16. Today we have scattered her ashes in the gardens. The day has been made extra special due to the service of the staff and all the extras provided. I would like thank everyone for looking after Mum and treating her with the greatest

Alison has a customer service background and joined Fairway View as Front of House Manager in 2016. She has personal experience of a relative living in a care home and feels that she can use this to help others in a similar situation.


She is dedicated and enthusiastic about her role, and about the home, and enjoys building strong relationships with the residents and their visitors. Alison works closely with the Home Manager and Regional Activities Executive to ensure there is always something fun going on at Fairway View, why not pop in to meet everyone and join in with one of the exciting activities?
