Very happy with the care provided. No complaints.

My father became a resident near the beginning of Covid. What I have experienced with staff has been very positive, very caring, helpful in what has been a very difficult time.

My mother has been in the care home for several years and unfortunately, has had to move into the dementia floor and her understanding has obviously greatly diminished. The carers have always been good with her and she is generally clean and well cared for. Activities while able to join in were good and she appeared quite happy. For dementia patients, I think music (that is of their age) is preferable to TV. Staff have been excellent during covid.

Mum has been treated with immense patience, compassion and kindness throughout her residency by all members of staff. Mum has been treated very much as an individual. It is apparent the staff have got to know her and accept her as the person she is at this stage of her life. As a relative, I have found the staff to be very friendly and approachable at all times. They have shown me great kindness at times of stress.

Always found the care and support for my mother-in-law very good. She is happy and well looked after. The updates and communication about my mother-in-law is great.

Resident's rooms could do with updating the wardrobe and washing facilities.

I have found Orchard House provides a friendly, happy and safe environment for my aunt to live in. Her room, although quite small, is nevertheless comfortable. The home is clean, and the staff appear to really care about the residents in their charge.

Staff are caring and respectful of mother's privacy. Many activities are available for the residents and these have continued during this difficult time - Coronavirus Lockdown. We are able to speak with my mother at any time and we have regular emails, updating everything that is happening in the home. We can't thank the staff enough for their hard work.

Each of the staff cares for me like a hen with one chick and I am the chick. I have ample to eat and drink, shall not starve nor fade away.

Before using Orchard House, my wife went to another local care home where care seemed to be the last thing on their list but I found the people in charge of Orchard House to be a different kettle of fish with kindness shown at all times with a different kind of feel to the place and we are more than happy to know my wife is in good hands.

Very impressed with the kindness and thoughtfulness of all staff at Orchard House. The atmosphere is that of a home rather than a "Care Home".

I would highly recommend Orchard House. My mother has lived there for the last four years and has been well looked after and received excellent care from the staff.

I am very pleased with the home and the staff are very good. My mum has been with you for over 2 years and is very happy.

I frequently find myself too depressed or stressed to visit her and yet the staff seem non-judgmental about this, which is a great comfort to me. I know she is in safe hands. I think that the fact that the staff turnover seems to be fairly low says a lot about the way in which the home is run. Thank you, Orchard House!

Dealing with elderly people who have dementia is very difficult and I feel all the carers treat the residents with respect.

However, my Mother is well cared for and that is the most important thing.

It is a small home and so very personal. Mum's room was lovely and all members of staff made her life as best they could, cleaners, caretaker, care staff and managers.

Since my mother moved to Orchard House Residential Care Home in June 2015 she has been treated with kindness and respect with regard to all aspects of her care. She is very content with the quality of care she receives, her lovely room and excellent food that the home provides. The staff are kind and caring and my contact with them is always positive. As a relative, I have been kept fully informed regarding my mother's care at all times.
