Thank you for your wonderful 5 star review. The Home Manager will share this with the Staff who willl be delighted. Thank you again for taking the time to write this review.
The staff at Gainsborough House are the most caring, helpful, thoughtful people I have ever come across not just in this industry but in general. My mum (who visits my dad daily) had a very nasty fall whilst taking it upon herself to help someone else. The staff were immediately there for mum with care, comfort and professional assistance. I know these lovely people will look after my dad until my mum has recovered and is able to visit dad again. Mum and I know he is safe and well looked after and it's a huge weight off our shoulders not having to worry about him. The care home is so well managed in all areas. The staff make cleaning and cooking and caring look easy. It's almost like a home from home. You just don't get this level of care in many places. We feel blessed that dad is in such a great place. 10 out of 10 doesn't seem high enough praise
Thank you for your wonderful 5 star review. The Home Manager will share this with the team who will be delighted that you have taken your time to write this review. We hope your mum soon recovers and is back visiitng Dad soon.

We can not praise this care home and its staff all its staff highly enough. Not only are we surrounded by beautiful well maintained buildings and garden but most importantly we are cared for by staff who genuinely care for me. We are confident that all of my health and personal needs are taken care of but also my mental health and wellbeing needs. They take the time to get to really know me. I feel safe, I feel cared for and I feel Happy so very very Happy . Not for a long time have I known that family feeling but here in Gainsborough we feel that we are not just a part of the home we are a part of the Gainsborough family and for that I can't thank them enough.

Dad is happy, very well cared for and all members of staff from the cleaners to the Management know Dad's name an take the time to chat to him when passing his room.
I can honestly say I have no concerns relating to Dad's care, quite the opposite, it's a huge relief to know that he's living in a safe secure environment, so a massive thank you to the team on the Renoir unit.

From arrival, she was treated with total dignity and respect. Staff were exceptional from the beginning, and all throughout her stay. They made sure she was comfortable and tried their very best at feeding her. She is now at end of life and the sympathy and care all the family receive is totally commendable. Thank you Gainsborough House

Our dad came to Gainsborough House straight from being in hospital for 3 months. He was on Matisse for 15 months and was cared for with compassion and respect. The staff on this unit are extremely caring and professionaland all his needs were catered for with compassion. He gain the weight he had lost whilst being in hospital as the food was 10/10 (he especially liked the desserts!) Thank you to all the staff at Gainsborough House for your warm welcomes + support during his stay.

We would just like to say a huge thank you to all the staff on Matisse for giving professional care to our brother/brother in law P. They have been very caring and have provided a safe and nurturing place for him to live in. Prior to Gainsborough House he was in a hospital environment for 16 months not understanding where he was or why? His social worker approached 50+ plus care homes but not one of them came out to assess him or meet him. We then approached yourselves feeling very desperate and disheartened. You came and rescued not only P but his whole family and for that we are eternally grateful. The staff are so friendly and greet you with warm smiles when you visit. The food is excellent and the home is extremely clean. I would not hesitate using you again and will definitely recommend you. Take care and thank you for all the love and care you have shown to P and family.

My mum is a resident on Renoir she's been here since been discharged from hospital in 2023 mum had lived at our family home for many years and we worried about how she would be in a new environment, but them worries soon disappeared when we got to know the staff on Renoir's unit and can see how caring and compassionate they are, they go out of their way to make the residents feel special and families feel reassured that their loved ones are well cared for. Couldn't ask for a better home for my mum.
Thank you for your fantastic 5 star reviewThe home manager will share this with the all the staff
My husband has been at Gainsborough House for almost five years. During that time his care has been excellent. They have adapted well to ensure that his needs have been met as his condition has changed. Despite him having limited communication now they anticipate what is in his best interest and look after him in a caring and professional way. The staff are supportive and welcoming.
Thank you for your wonderful review, the home manager will share this with the staff. Thank you again for taking the time to write a review
My husband has been in Renoir at Gainsborough House since discharged from hospital 2 weeks ago. He has alzheimers, type 2 diabetes & coeliac. I was concerned about his gluten free food, but I needn't have worried. He is safe and hasn't been frightened. By day 3 he was settled and loved the staff. The staff are kind, caring, professional and their care is person centered. My only hope is I can have him stay here after this period of respite. Everywhere smells and looks clean I would recommend Gainsborough House to anyone who needs dementia nursing care for their loved one.
Thank you for your wonderful 5 star review. The manager will share this with the staff who will be delighted
My mum has been here for 12 months now, she came on end of life but the staff have been amazing with her care and she is still going strong. Melisa has been great and if I have ever needed any support she has always been there, even the reception staff. Kerry has also been good, especially when it comes to us having any medical care because she is experienced in this.
Thank you for your wonderful 5 star reviewThe Manager will share this with the whole team as you have given all our departments a 5 star they will be delighted Thank you again
My father has been resident for respite care for 7 weeks. During that time he has been treated with dignity & respect by all members of staff. They have got to know him and his likes & dislikes & they have accommodated these (e.g. chocolate treats!) The activities have bee varied and marvelous. He particularly liked the music & arrival activities. His personal care/hygiene has been excellent. The food has been varied & nutritious. His room was clean & comfortable. I would recommend Gainsborough House to any friend or relative. Thank you.
Thank you for your 5 star review, and thank you for recognising the hard work that the Care staff, Kitchen, Domestic and Activities carry out daily.
