The staff have made a real effort to know my husband, his humour and create a sense of fun with him. They are very sensitive when he is medically off and are quick to put observations in place to monitor him and call emergency services where appropriate. The management is always available and address
any concerns I may have swiftly and efficiently - no excuses given ever.

Since my mother was being looked after by Newbridge (after moving her from a previous establishment) she has really improved in her mobility and her well-being. She loves the place and the staff are always willing to help and really take pride in their duties with nothing being too much to help all
of the residents.
She eats all of the food provided, so it must be good.

During our initial search for a suitable care home for my father we discovered Newbridge House and from our conversation with the Home Manager we immediately had a gut feeling that this was a good home and this has proved to be very much the case. We are totally relaxed knowing that Dad is in the best
possible place to meet his needs. He is always saying how good the food is and that the staff are friendly and have a joke with him. Visiting the home is always a pleasant experience due to the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff. His care has been excellent as he was quite poorly when he first arrived but due to the care, love and attention given by the staff he has improved tremendously.

I cannot speak highly enough about the care my mother has received in Newbridge House since October last year. From day one the staff have been very friendly and welcoming, nothing ever seems too much trouble. As a nurse myself with 40 years of experience in the NHS, I am so impressed with the standards
of care that are delivered, and the fact that maintaining the dignity of the residents is clearly a priority.
The home has a very homely feel about it and my mother says the food is excellent!
I would have no hesitation in recommending Newbridge House to anyone looking for a care home. They really have got something special there!

Newbridge understands dementia and how to deal with it. They understand the effect that it has not only on the sufferer but also on the people who love and care for them. They have been supportive of me from the outset.
I expected high standards of care, and if they had not been delivered, I would
have moved my wife to somewhere that did. I was not prepared to accept second best. I am delighted to say that my expectations were met, each day, every day, and invariably exceeded. The care is second to none. I remain confused why this care home is only rated as good. It is so much better than that.
I have found Newbridge to be flexible and helpful wherever possible, but where the well-being of residents is involved, they do not compromise.
I expected the carers to treat residents with dignity and respect, which they did. What I had not expected was the compassion, kindness and love that was constantly shown to all the residents.
I would choose Newbridge for myself if it were needed.

Everyone who works at Newbridge House showed Dad kindness, care and compassion throughout his stay there. Nothing was too much trouble for them. The home is everything you could wish for when looking for a place of safety for your loved ones.
We were lucky to find it several years ago for Mum, and
it is still as brilliant now, as it was then.

Fran Bodo is Newbridge House’s Deputy manager, who has worked at the home since it opened. Fran has over 12 years experience of in supporting elderly people with dementia and mental health issues. Fran holds level 5 NVQ in care and works closely with Multi-Disciplinary Team to manage the Health and well-being of our residents. Fran is also Newbridge's Diversity Champion.
