We are pleased with Edgehill Care Home, it has a very helpful and friendly staff. My mum has settled in well and is happy, she also loves her room and garden, and enjoys food. I can't praise the staff enough for how well they have handled covid, we are very grateful.
Thank you for your kind comments. COVID has been very testing for us all. Thank you for acknowledging how as a home we managed the pandemic. I would like to extend my thanks to families for their understanding and support at this time.
Edgehill have been extremely exceptional throughout the pandemic and have worked tremendously hard to provide a safe environment for the residents. I love the fact that all the staff show the residents such compassion, always there with a kind word or giving them reassurance with a smile or high when able to. Kindness - genuine care on display always. Well done and a huge thank you for all that Edgehill have done.
Thank you for your kind comments, Jeanette. It is great to know that the team's care and compassion show through to all.
I was so impressed how all staff go that extra mile to all work together to do the very best for the residents here, treating them with dignity and respect. We had a BBQ today in the garden with a singer. The residents really enjoyed listening, singing and clapping along to the music. Even the manager came out giving out ice creams to all the residents. Well done to all the staff at these difficult times. Keep up the good work.
Thank you so much for your feedback. We have a lovely team here at Edgehill. It's great to know that the love and dedication shows and is recognised by others.
From the moment I entered the premises, I was impressed. Very clean. Staff very efficient. My mother had a new lease of life from the moment she moved in.
The staff are very helpful and lovely to my mum. The home is kept extremely clean and does not suffer from odours that I have noticed in many other homes.
Staff are caring, attentive and friendly. Always someone available to talk to regarding any query that may arise. Godsend as far as my Dad is concerned.
My mother has been in Edgehill for two years. She is deaf and doesn't see well, but the staff are so friendly and caring towards her and understand her needs. The couldn't do any more than they already do. She will be ninety-nine this year, and they make her smile and happy.
Wanted to find somewhere for my aunt close to where she had lived. None were suitable, but Edgehill was offered as an option. What a blessing in disguise. The moment I walked in it seemed to feel right, and since then this has been reinforced. Friendly staff, fantastic amenities, great care, lovely rooms etc. In fact, it's almost like being in a hotel.
I find the staff very nice, from the kitchen through to management. The only thing I find is that sometimes you tell one member of staff something and it does not get passed on. Also, my mum said she missed out on the Christmas shopping night because no-one came and got her. My mum looks really well since coming to Edgehill.
During this time - infrequent urine infections - indicating that Edgehill led personal hygiene is exactly where it needs to be. (When Mum lived with me, infections and associated hospital admissions were frequent.)
All equipment to aid Mum's independence is proactively supplied without me needing to chase. From providing larger incontinence pads to a recliner wheeler and an appropriate commode.
Keyworker (carer) system works well. Mum, I and the keyworker get to know each other and Mum's usual, longstanding keyworker calls on an evening to suggest personal items she thinks may enhance Mum's day. (A special shaped pillow) or to gently remind me when I have forgotten to replace something.
Both pastoral and medications needs are proactively met and I have 10 years experience to base these comments on. Without the care of Edgehill to both Mum and I, neither of us would have a life.
My sister is happy and that's what counts.
Dad moved into Edgehill Care Home almost 2 years ago and loves living there. He has made many friends and is never lonely. I can now rest easy that dad is safe and comfortable in a great care home with lovely, caring staff that treat him with love and respect as they look after him and the other residents.
The maintenance man has put everything up for her so quickly, her room feels like home.
Management were very welcoming, covering all her needs.
The manager is always helpful and always happy to sort out any worries we had.
Mum is very, very happy.
You looked after my mother as well as anybody could and I thank all the staff for that. Thanks.
Since the new entertainment manager came to the home the entertainment side of the home has dramatically improved to what I would describe as excellent. She is really hardworking and goes above and beyond in her desire to keep the residents busy and happy.
Morale among carers and staff is not good. A lot of good carers left all at once.
Small kitchen in the lounge has a hot water tank that leaks all the time - the fridge needs replacing and the standard of cleanliness in that kitchen is not good.
The overall standards have dropped considerably over the last year.
We live away in Sweden so it is good to know that my mother is well looked after. Unfortunately, we are unable to visit too often but communication with the home is good.
I find the staff friendly and helpful and would recommend them to anyone.
My father came into the home skeletal. Very poorly. 18 months later, with the excellent care and support from the staff and management, he is a different person. He has put on weight and is happy. He has a very good rapport with all staff. He is safe and secure and is treated with dignity. If anything unexpected happens to him (eg a fall) I am always informed. Very pleased with the care.
We visit every week or two. The food always looks delicious. The staff are welcoming, friendly and fantastic with the residents, always kind and caring. We are also impressed by the amount of activities that are arranged.
