Over all time Edgehill Care Home has 80 reviews.
Great staff, very helpful in all ways. Attention to needs. Regular updates. All in all, very good. I could have moved my father, 80, much closer but because of his treatment, I have left him here.
Thank you, Christopher, for taking the time to leave a review. It is a huge compliment to the team that you are willing to have the extra travel as you are so happy with the care and support given to Dad.
All the staff were very caring and showed love to my mum. Nothing was too much trouble. Mum adored all the staff and was very comfortable with the staff and residents. I am so pleased that mum spent her last days in such a warm and caring care home. I had no worries about mum residing there, they are all special people. If their job is hard at times you would never know it. First class!!
Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. It is lovely to hear such wonderful comments. I will be sure to pass this on to the team.
Throughout covid the home was amazing with the care of residents when mum had covid they were amazing with her (she's 96) she was extremely ill but they pulled her through, kept us up to date and treated her like their own mum. She has Alzheimer's and unfortunately had to go into a home just before covid. She is happy and settled and would highly recommend the home and often do. The staff and management are truly your biggest asset here.
Thank you Kate for leaving such a lovely review. Your words of gratitude will be passed on to all of the team.
Edgehill is a friendly and warm home where the residents are cared for with care and dignity. All the facilities are clean and well-organised. Meals are of a high standard. Staff are very professional. Overall, Edgehill is a well-managed home where standards are high and I am very pleased that I found Edgehill for my neighbour that I care for and act as lasting power of attorney to.
Thank you for taking time to review our home. I am so pleased that you are happy with the standard of care and support given throughout the service.
However, over the last year or more, I have seen a tremendous change in the way my sister is managed and cared for. The staff, albeit changing from time to time, which goes with care homes, really take great care of my sister and are interested in her as a person and not just a commodity.
The care home is clean, with no smells, very welcoming and one thing which I think is paramount that the activities set up, normally at least one a day, is excellent and keep, as much as possible, all residents involved.
Thank you Maggie for your review and ongoing support. I'm glad that you can see how hard the team work to make the home a happy, clean and loving environment.
My 85-year-old Mum went into Edgehill for a three-week respite. She was noted as a fall risk on admission. On her 6th day, she had a fall in her room and fractured her arm. She was returned from the hospital with paracetamols only. Edgehill took a week to organise stronger medication. In that week they also lost my Mum's hearing aids and glasses. Basically in that week, she must have been in pain and unable to see or hear. I can only imagine the distress she must have been in. A few days later she rolled out of bed and dislocated her shoulder. She went from Edgehill to the local hospital (again), where she remains 3 months later. She's basically been going downhill ever since and that all really started from her time at Edgehill. On a separate note, within an hour of admission, we were told that the home had a new Covid outbreak and was closed to visitors. My Mum went into another Agincare home a few months earlier and exactly the same thing happened there on admission.
Always clean and tidy, staff very attentive, variety of food and drinks. Lots of activities to keep residents happy.
Thank you for giving us such a lovely review. It's fantastic that everyone's hard work shows in how happy the residents are.
Today's visit happened to be at the same time alpacas were visiting which all the residents seemed to enjoy. A favourite of Mum's is the singers that visit regularly. It is lovely to see her happy and interacting with the staff and other residents, as when at home she constantly complained of being lonely. All the staff are friendly, professional and could not be more helpful.
Thank you for taking the time to review our home. I'm glad that you got to see the alpacas during your visit. Great feedback for the team.
I have been in Edgehill for 3 years and I could not be in a better place. Management and staff are the best I could wish for.
Thank you, Fay. Having such a great review from someone who actually lives in the home is truly wonderful. Thank you for choosing Edgehill, it's great to have you as part of our Edgehill Family.
I have nothing but praise for Edgehill Care Home. The dedication and attention to detail is amazing. Would highly recommend Edgehill - thank you.
It is our absolute pleasure to have you at Edgehill Margaret. It's lovely that you feel so happy and settled in the home.
My wonderful mother-in-law was cared for by the terrific staff at Edgehill until she died on 21st May. All of the caring staff and management of the home were helpful, efficient, and constantly kind-hearted. There was genuine warmth and compassion towards her, my wife, and myself. I can't speak more highly of Edgehill. This is how care homes should be run.
Thank you so much for your 5* review of the home. It's great that your experience was one where you could see true warmth and compassion. As a team that is what we all strive for. we are truly glad that we succeeded in this. Kind regards.
The care home is friendly but my mum at 90 is bedridden. A dementia resident came into her room and took off with her £300 glasses which she was left not only helpless but little eye-sight. We begged to get her overgrown hair and nails cut. We know it's difficult for staff but it is our mum. Food she can barely chew. She should have soft food. It falls on deaf ears.
Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review. I am sorry to hear that you feel that standards are below our usual and not fully meeting your Mum's needs and or expectations. I would like to arrange to meet with you so that we can discuss in person and put a plan of care in place which is agreed by all involved and achievable. I will be in touch soon. Kind regards.
Absolutely exceptional care, consideration, sensitivity, kindness, compassion, and dignity afforded to my mother and myself, and my husband throughout Mum's stay at Edgehill. During the last weeks of Mum's life, the staff and managers gave Mum the very best care and made it possible for me and my husband to be with her 24/7 with a reclining chair and a bed in Mum's room so one or other of us could sleep overnight. We truly felt part of a loving 'family' within Edgehill, and because of all the staff and managers, my Mum's death was as pain-free, dignified, and gentle as possible with me holding her. Edgehill has an exceptional standard of care, a loving compassionate ethos, and nothing could have been better for my Mum. I wouldn't have wanted her to be anywhere else.
Thank you Donna for such a wonderful review of the home. It's amazing to hear such feedback from someone who on a regular basis spent 24 hours a day with us. Thank you for the opportunity to look after your Mum. Please don't be a stranger, you are welcome to come and visit the home any time you wish. Kind regards.
Extremely efficient and very caring and understanding. Great feeling in the home.
Thank you for taking the time to leave us such a positive review. I am glad that our ethos shows through to others.
Very friendly staff. Attentive and polite. The home is clean, bright, and spacious.
Thank you for taking the time to review our care home. I am pleased that your experience of the home is of a positive nature.
Clean and tidy home with amazing staff that are always so helpful and really friendly. Feels really safe to have my nan live here.
We are happy that you feel reassured by Nan's safety. It's great that you have been able to visit and keep in touch in various ways.
Mum is very happy and settled at Edge Hill. She is treated with dignity and respect and is happy.
Thank you very much for taking the time to review our Care Home. We love having Mum here.
As soon as we arrived the staff made us very welcome and were friendly. The home is very clean.
Thank you for taking the time to review our home. I am glad that your experience of Edgehill is a good one.
They were all very lovely and helpful. The home seemed very clean and smelled good. Unfortunately, it was not the home for us but the experience was definitely a good one.
Thank you for taking the time to review our home. We are pleased that we could help out short term and help point you in the right direction.
My mother was transferred from hospital to Edgehill for a six week period to continue to support and monitor her. A very stressful time, particularly due to Covid-19. Edgehill has been fantastic in supporting Mum and encouraging me to visit her as often as I can, facilitating 'room', window and garden visits. This meant Mum could even join in with our nine-year-old's birthday cake candle lighting through the window. She has thrived in their care and will miss the companionship and care when she returns home. Thank you.
Thank you for your kind review. We are pleased your Mother has settled in, and you feel she is receiving high-quality care, and you are supported by our team. We hope that your mother continues to thrive out of the home, and we are always here should she require our care services.
