Thank you for taking the time to post the review. We are delighted that you were happy with services we provided at Cedars for your mother.
My mother was in for two weeks respite care and I was very impressed with all the staff receptionist, carers, managers all very friendly and caring. I had complete faith that my mother would be cared for.

My mother-in-law came into the care of Cedars Care Home Southend for 4 weeks convalescence. Our experience was very positive, caring staff, organised and efficient. We would recommend this facility. It was clean and the garden was a lovely asset as well.

For a short time, my cousin was in the home. I could not fault the care and attention she received.

From the first assessment of my brother-in-law, both management and staff were very professional in their overall acceptance of him. He was very happy in the home joined in the activities and really enjoyed quiz days. When we took him out for appointments he always wanted to return in time for meals as he really enjoyed the food. We never believed his time at the care home would be short as he passed away on New Year's Eve, aged only 64.

Mum and Dad moved in in February 2015, we were impressed by the fact that there was no smell of urine(!) and the security of entry to the building and floors is very reassuring to know that your loved ones are safe.
Mum passed away last year, leaving Dad with his dementia in the care of all at the home AND what a job they did!
Dad enjoyed a happy, fulfilled time, everyone helped to make his world a better place for him.
He slowly deteriorated, leaving his mobility and awareness less and less each time but his care never changed, always 100%.
Dad passed away in October this year, his passing was made such a beautiful thing (does that sound wrong)? The staff made it so special for us as we are sure Dad was totally at peace at the end.
We can not thank everyone enough for all they did and for caring enough to make his last hours so, yes, so beautiful.
THANK YOU ONE AND ALL

The staff on my husband's floor were also very kind, caring and efficient. His room was kept clean as was his toilet. Visitors who came to visit my husband whilst he was a resident were also happy with how he was cared for and the general atmosphere of The Cedars. I am grateful to everyone at The Cedars for looking after my husband.

But, more importantly, the staff are amazing. They work long and hard hours, often in difficult and sad situations. But they are always cheerful, caring and helpful. They have time for everyone - residents and visitors.
The activities and special events are excellent and well organised. Trips out in the minibus are enjoyed by all.
Attention to medical care and special needs is excellent, as is communication between the care staff and residents, their relatives and external medical persons.
(The only negative point is the car park, which is often full, and there is no on-street parking nearby as it is for business and resident permit holders only.)
The care my husband is receiving cannot be faulted. The staff are excellent in all aspects of their work. The whole atmosphere of Cedars is a friendly one, staff and residents alike. I have no doubt whatsoever to highly recommend this care home.

I received 2 weeks of TLC at Cedars, the manager gave me a lovely room with an en suite overlooking the garden. Staff were excellent as was the food. I sat in the garden quite a lot as the weather was good and it was very pretty.

My husband and I looked at many recommended care homes in the area and this care home Cedars care home, was the only one that did not smell of urine. The staff are all welcoming and pleasant at all times and my father-in-law has been extremely well looked after and very happy to be there on the two occasions he has stayed there. We will not hesitate to use this care home for our father again as this is exactly what he received, the very best of care in our opinion.
