Hatfield House

Can't praise the home and staff enough. Anyone that asks, I recommend Hatfield House.

The staff are always kind and caring. Mum has improved so much since being here, and I know she is well cared for. The home is decorated lovely and has a homely feel. We could not ask for better care.

From the point of contact to Mum's care, I have had unlimited help and reassurance in finding a suitable home for my mum. All her needs are attended to just how Mum would like it. The staff and carers are extremely friendly and understanding, all amenities are to a very high standard. The transition from Mum's home to care has been exceptional and reassuring for our family.

Always putting residents safety first which has served them well in preventing the infection in the home.

On the whole, Mum appears to receive very good care. Can I ask why do the staff always appear to be completing care plans and not interacting with the residents? Why are there appearingly limited activities at Hatfield House? Surely if residents have dementia wouldn't it be better for them to be doing something, even if just for a short time rather than just sitting in a chair or in front of the TV?

My mother is a resident, suffering from dementia and Alzheimers. The care and support she has received over these hard times is second to none. The staff are amazing, caring and kind. In times like these, is good to know my mother is in safe hands receiving the best care possible.

Mum has been at Hatfield House since Sept 20 however due to Covid I have been unable to visit as only 1 family member can visit. She seems happy and looked after on the video calls and we are very happy to be able to do this to keep in touch with her. Overall I am happy with her care and look forward to being able to see her face to face.

Since first lockdown, I have had limited visits to see my wife. Garden visits then behind a screen. When before I visited every day so can't make a proper review. Before lockdown, everything was fine, no complaints but I do facetime my wife, she looks healthy and fine. Management and staff are doing a great job in these uncertain times.

Sadly now, they have both passed away, but I would like to say that the care home has given myself and my sister peace of mind that they had been cared for in the best environment.

We have all had a terrible year. The worst part for me has been not visiting my mother since March. What has kept me going is knowing that the staff of Hatfield House, the Hatfield House family, have looked after her as if she were theirs. I miss seeing her but know that she is being well cared for and loved. Thank you.

I am highly satisfied with the level of care which is provided for my Auntie in the care home. Her needs are generally met to a high standard, the staff being very caring. The staff do treat residents individually and with respect. There have been improvements in communication more recently which have been implemented well. I would and have recommended Hatfield House to friend/relatives for their loved ones.

I cannot praise the carers at Hatfield House enough, especially in this current Covid Pandemic. They are all very special people who go over and above what is needed. They are professional and caring in all that they do. The home is always welcoming and clean with the staff always pleasant no matter what they face.

Communication is very good.

Your carers are always helpful and cheery with residents. Nothing is too much trouble for them. The place is always immaculately clean, which must be a struggle with older people who leave things out so they can't find them again.

We have found the staff to be very attentive. All know who Mum was and where she is at any time. We have been kept well informed of any incidents, however trivial.

The home provides good care and pleasant staff. The meals are good and presented well. The carers are easy to approach if any problems arise.

My mother has been in Hartfield House for five years and has received excellent care. The environment is very clean and the staff keep you informed with health and well-being issues. The carers go above and above to what is required and treat the resident with respect and dignity.

Extremely clean - Excellent.

It has a 'hotel' feel about it. Fantastic staff, great food and wonderful outings. My friend is a resident and is very happy there. I would not hesitate to recommend it.

Our father is happy in the care home we feel comfortable with the care he receives.
