Harden Hall is a contemporary residential and dementia care home located in the heart of the community. Each of the 54 single bedrooms has an en-suite wet room.

The home is operated by Anchor and provides residential care, which is personally tailored to meet the individual needs of customers and enhance their quality of life.

The care team works with customers and their loved ones to create detailed care plans to ensure each individual’s health and care needs are continually met. Anchor are specialists in dementia care and provide on-going training to care staff to ensure their approach always reflects best practice.

Anchor is England’s largest provider of housing and care for those over 55 years of age and has 60 years of experience as a not-for-profit provider of services to older people.

Anchor reinvests the money made into their retirement properties and care homes, to continually raise standards to provide a high-quality service to surpass customer’s expectations.

Basic care needs are not always met. Very friendly staff. Not as many activities as other care homes for residents. Visiting hours are limited and reception frequently has no one there to get in or out when visiting. The coffee shop is only open once a week on a Thursday 10-13.00 if a volunteer is in.
Shame as it would be nice to visit and have a coffee on other days.

My mother has limited mental capacity, minimal mobility, and can be challenging to care for. She has been a resident in Harden Hall for almost 18 months, and during that time the care she receives has been exceptional. The staff are always cheerful and friendly, and fully understand my mother's needs.
She's definitely in the right place to get the care she needs!

We have been very pleased with the care my Mother receives at Harden Hall. The staff are very caring and always pleasant. Everyone works very hard to keep all the residents looked after to a high standard.
The home is well-run and is always clean and tidy. All of the staff take pride in their work
and are very friendly and welcoming to visiting family and friends.
All queries are dealt with efficiently and medical help is on hand if needed.
The home is spacious and there are areas to sit with your relatives away from the main communal lounge/dining areas.
Would definitely recommend.

I cannot fault this care home, all staff are very polite and understanding of my mother-in-law's needs.

I visit someone I have known for many years.
He tells me the food is very good and he seems well cared for and is helped by all.
As I have no idea of costs etc. I can only put satisfactory.

My mom lived in Harden Hall from May 30th 2019 until December 2nd 2023. Unfortunately, she passed away, but at 91 years old, she had a good life. Those last years were made much better quality of life, nothing was too much, staff went above and beyond that the support we got as a family was second to
none. I would recommend the home to anyone. My mom was not the easiest dementia resident to care for and was difficult at times but the staff got to know my mom well and knew how to settle he and make her happy.

From the moment you walk through the door reception, office staff, care staff are wonderful. It feels like a home. The staff are amazing, there are smiles on their faces, and the welcome is warm and genuine. Nothing is too much trouble. It's a pleasure to always go there.

Harden Hall is a clean and pleasant care home. On every visit, staff are available if required and very helpful.
On-site facilities include chiropody and hairdressing, which my aunt loves.

The staff are all polite and kind and take the time to listen to you. They do lots of activities for residents, there is always someone there to talk to on the telephone and every time I ask for something to be done for Dad it is more or less straight away.

The overall experience of entering the reception of the care home gives you a good idea of the standard of care. My mother has been in the home for six years now, and I can say with hand on heart she would not be here now. I left in the community, my mom has reached a milestone in her long life she
will be 100 in October and she has got this far because of the standard of care those hard-working staff put in. All food is freshly cooked and presented well all furniture is replaced on a regular basis, well done to you all.

After my father arrived at Harden Hall a couple of months ago, there was an immediate improvement in his mental and physical health. The staff have welcomed him warmly and looked after him very well indeed, given his moderate dementia, this is of great relief to me to know that he is in a safe and very
suitable environment. He has also been able to develop friendships with some of the other residents. Many thanks for everything the team has done so far and long may it continue!

My mother is at end of life care and the home have been very kind and caring towards her and have treated her with dignity which I know I would have found impossible in a hospital situation during the Covid crisis and I am extremely thankful for this care towards her.
