My Mother-in-law has been here for 4mths. She has settled in well had a few off days. but on the whole shes enjoying it.
Thank you very much for your kind review. We are all very appreciative.
I am so pleased to hear that your mother-in-law has settled in well at Parklands and is enjoying her time with us.
Thank you again for your kind words.
Kind regards Diane
We are overall generally satisfied with everything at Parklands and if any matters/aspects arise, we are able to address them straight away and sort things out. The only thing I do feel sometimes is there are not enough staff to cover the amount of residents and that is probably the same all over with shortages everywhere.

Parklands Alloa is not just a care home, it is like a five star hotel. All the staff and management are of the finest quality. Managers, carers and domestic staff could not be more caring and friendly. It is not a care home, it is a very caring and friendly environment. All staff were very respectful to my sister when she passed away.
I would like to take a moment for leaving such lovely review. We are so pleased that you are so happy with the quality of care your sister received at Parklands and will ensure your kind words are shared with the team. Thank you again for taking the time to leave such a positive review...
Parklands is a beautiful, warm and welcoming care home. I can't fault any of it from managers - staff - everyone who is employed. My sister and I have recommended it to other families who now have a relative living in Parklands, it's like home from home. Every staff member is so caring and so helpful with residents and their families. It's a joy to actually go and visit my dad, would definitely recommend to anyone.
Thank you for taking the time for such a thoughtful review. It is wonderful to hear and we truly appreciate your kind words about our team, they will be extremely appreciative it means the world to us to hear such a positive experience at Parklands. Your kind words about their efforts,...
Everybody is so kind and very respectable. Nothing is too much trouble. It is very clean. Clients' meals look great and they are given treats which they all love. They are all called by their first name which is more personal.
Thank you so much for your thoughtful review. We are so pleased you are happy with the whole team approach. Your recommendation is greatly appreciated and we remain dedicated to providing a safe, enjoyable and caring environment for all of our residents. Again thank you so much we are all truly grateful. Kindest wishes Diane
My late mum spent nearly 3 years in parklands.Previous employee ( care ) from many years ago.Mum was in hospital looking for care home had to be Parklands.Care staff housekeeping activities hairdresser kitchen maintenance couldn't do enough for my mum.Any problems that arose were dealt with quickly.Warm homely environment has to be parklands
Thank you for sharing such a touching tribute to your late mother. Knowing that she spent nearly three years with us, and that you chose Parklands based on your own experience as a former colleague, is the highest compliment we could receive. We are so glad we could provide her with a warm, homely environment during her time here.
The charge nurse and social worker were pleasant. They had taken the time to discuss Mum and if she was settling into Parklands. We discussed her safety, falls, medication, mood, sleep, personal hygiene and nutrition. This was a positive meeting. I feel listened to and they signposted what to do if I had questions in future. Their manner and support to me was kind and compassionate.
Thank you so much for such a wonderful review, such kind and thoughtful words. It means so much to our team when they receive this level of praise. They work tirelessly throughout the year to deliver kind and compassionate care to residents. We appreciate your support and continue to strive to deliver the highest standards of care. Thank you again,
Kindest regards Diane
I visit her at least once a week, often on different days and at different times, so I meet various carers and nurses, all of whom are friendly and caring.
Whilst Mum doesn't like to leave her room, we did recently enjoy listening to a wonderful choir which Mum thoroughly enjoyed.
Mum moved from England and both Diane and Edna made the process easy for me and Mum. At a particularly stressful time, they were kind and helpful and I will always be so grateful for that.
Thank you for taking the time to share such thoughtful feedback. We're so pleased your mum has settled in well at Parklands, and it's wonderful to hear how much she enjoyed the choir! Diane, Edna, and the whole team will be touched by your kind words - they work hard to make transitions smooth and ensure every resident feels at home.
My aunt became a resident at Parklands Care Home, Alloa, at the start of 2025. From our first enquiry with Diane and Edna, the experience was seamless. They listened to our concerns and wishes for our aunt. Our aunt struggled with sleeping in a single bed, this led to a disturbed night's sleep, this started to impact on her quality of life. The staff tried everything, changed beds, took the wooden sides off, but still no sleep. Diane took the situation to her MDT and discussed a bariatric bed, after a risk assessment it was all go. Bed arrived, maintenance spend the day building the new bed. It looks amazing, but most of all our aunt now has a comfortable night's sleep. Quality of life improved so much.
Thank you so much for your review and such kind words. It was our absolute pleasure to provide your aunt with her new bed which she is loving and so much more comfortable and no more sleepless nights. Again thank you for your lovely review we are all truly grateful.
My sister was a resident in Parklands for 16 months before she passed away. During this time, my sister was treated with respect and dignity. Staff made every effort to ensure her needs were met. Nothing was too much trouble. The facilities were of a high standard, excellent meals and cleanliness kept to a high standard. If any issue arose, it was rectified immediately. I have peace of mind that my sister's last remaining months were a happy time for her.
Dear Linda, We would all like to take a moment to thank you for leaving such a wonderful review of our home. We are so pleased to hear you were very happy with the care and kindness showed by the team your sister received at Parklands care home and ensure your kind words are shared with the team....
Sadly my mother passed away in Parklands this month and the care given to her and my family at the end was overwhelming. We were called in the early hours of the morning to attend as soon as possible, and unfortunately we arrived minutes after mum passing. The nurse in attendance was so warm, welcoming and understanding at such a difficult time. While myself and my wife were in shock she spoke to my mother with such care and dignity, wishing her peace going forward. She truly melted our hearts and spoke to us with such compassion and professionalism we were truly thankful that she was with mum at the end. To have a nurse with such high qualities, being warm-hearted, tender and affectionate at such an emotional time, we were truly blessed.
Thank you so much for sharing such a moving and personal reflection. We are truly sorry for your loss, and it means a great deal to hear that your mother's final moments were met with such compassion, dignity and care. Supporting families through such an emotional time is a profound responsibility,...
.In Parklands we don't have that worry she is always very well presented.I can't thank the staff enough for the care and attention they give her just at Christmas time she was really poorly breathing wasn't easy but they kept us uptodate with every visit from the doctor when needed .
Thank you so much for taking the time to share your experience. We're truly delighted to hear that you felt welcomed and reassured from your very first visit to Parklands. Creating a homely, supportive, and respectful environment is at the heart of everything we do - and it's lovely to know this...
My Aunt stayed at Parklands Care Home over 6 months and was looked after and cared for very well. The staff and especially the nurses were attentive to all her needs. Her room and sleeping area were kept immaculately clean and the care home was well-presented and didn't smell like you expect in a typical care home.
Thank you for your thoughtful review. We're so pleased to hear that your aunt received the care and attention she deserved during her time at Parklands. Our team takes great pride in maintaining a clean, welcoming, and supportive environment for all our residents, and it's wonderful to hear that...
My Mum is a resident at Parklands Care Home and has a lovely room with an ensuite. The staff are very attentive and caring, you can tell they build a bond with the residents which is lovely to see. The new manager is fantastic and always has time for a chat. I was really nervous about placing Mum in care but I feel better knowing she is in Parklands and is well looked after.

Parklands is a well-designed, pleasing place to visit. I find the staff attentive and caring. The management are welcoming and easy to approach. Communications are good and issues are followed up as required. My gran is always well-dressed and generally enjoys being there.
Thank you for your kind review. We're delighted to hear that your gran is enjoying her time at Parklands and that you find our colleagues attentive and caring. It's wonderful to know that communication has been positive and that management is approachable. We strive to create a welcoming and...
It was an overwhelming process when we were selecting a care home for her but from the hospital visit from the manager through to the welcome she received it instantly put our minds at rest.
During the reviews I always had faith in the information I was given as it was specific to Gran's interests and character, I genuinely believe they have taken the time to get to know her and encourage her hobbies and need for a blether.
I find it encouraging that the manager remembered our names after only meeting with him once, and another particular staff member is so helpful and another has such kindness for the residents, our gran loves her! The nursing team are fantastic, they remain on top of Gran's medical conditions and act promptly when needed - all with a smile!
Thank you to Parklands for helping us make sure Gran has the quality of life she deserves, we would be lost without you!
Thank you so much for taking the time to review our service. Your kind words are very much appreciated by every member of the team here at Parklands. We all regard caring for your gran as both an honour and a pleasure. She brightens up each and every day with her gorgeous smile and wonderful...
A safe and comfortable environment. Staff very attentive and caring to my mother who has been resident since mid-March 2024. This is my first experience of having a relative in care, so I have nothing to compare it against, however I am very happy with the attitude and care shown by Management and Staff, not only to my mother but also myself, my brother and sons when we visit.
Thank you so much for your kind words. We're truly grateful that you and your family feel supported and cared for at Parklands. It's heartening to know that our team's dedication to creating a safe and comfortable environment for your mother has made a positive impact. We understand how important...
Her leg looks as though it was badly swollen again. The manager is very good at his job trying to mingle with the residents I do hope he is staying. The only other thing is I don’t know who my mum's care worker is they keep changing but I never get told who she has.
Thank you for bringing your concerns to our attention. This is not what we are known for at Parklands and I have already met with our staff to find out what went wrong and to reinforce our company standards and expectations. In the meantime, should you have any concerns at all, please pop in and...
I had to find a care home for an elderly friend requiring full nursing care, and I'm so glad I picked Parklands. My 91-year-old friend was very frail and stayed in the home for two months until he died. He received wonderful care during that time, and I cannot compliment the staff enough for looking after him in the last days of his life.

Christmas events are very appropriate and uplifting for residents.
A lot of thought put into entertaining and looking after the safety and care of residents.
Thank you very much for taking the time to review your aunt's care. It is so nice to hear that she enjoyed the Christmas events as this is such a special time of the year. We continually strive to develop our activities and well-being programme, so please do let us know if there is anything that you think our residents might enjoy and we will try to make it happen.
