Extremely happy and satisfied with the second review after approximately a 6 week period in the home. Senior nurse and general social work representative sitting in on review all significant points raised and fully answered.

The home has very good facilities. The rooms are very nice and comfortable. The communal rooms are light and airy and there are a number for residents and guests to choose from. The nursing staff are very friendly and have a nice manner with residents from what we've observed.

My Mum has been in Parklands for four and a half years. I have had no qualms at all with regards to her nursing care. Charge Nurse management has been excellent as has been the carer, hotel management etc.

I am made to feel part of the decision-making process at all times and feel the link that the staff have developed with me is crucial.

My mum has been in Parklands in Alloa for just over 1 year. I am sad when I leave after visiting her but I never worry because I know she is in the best place. She is very well looked after and the staff are brilliant with her and with us - her family.

I always hoped that we would find somewhere for dad that is caring and kind. Parklands is that and much more. From the first call with the manager to the interaction with all of the staff, the overriding impression is one of professional, kind, caring and compassionate staff who provide a calm, warm, safe and happy environment for residents. I can't thank that team at Parklands enough so far for the care they are giving my dad and the support they are giving to us as a family. It is truly a wonderful place.

I am a carer for a homecare agency, I have been in my position for 23 years. I have now been going into Parklands for over 2 years, I feel my service user is well looked after by staff and management. She is comfortable and well fed. Personal care good, happy in environment. I feel staff and management are very helpful if I need a hand with anything, to help support my time with my service user.

Thank you for your review Ann. It is always helpful to get reviews from fellow professionals, particularly those who have a broad knowledge of different care homes and what they offer. The team will be delighted!

My mum was a resident here since July last year. There are no words that I can say or write that will express how much I think of a wonder and high level of care that the whole team of staff gave my mum. She came alive when she moved there. I will shout till my voice goes, in praising them. I will not think twice about recommending them to anyone looking for a place for a loved one.

My father has been supported by Parklands Care Home for some three years. The home is spotlessly clean, the staff caring and attentive and any response to issues we have raised have been prompt and efficient. The staff seem genuinely fond of the residents which is in my experience not always the case in other services.

My darling husband has been in Parklands Care Home since March 2017. I visit every day and through my observation and interaction with staff, I have both admiration and the highest respect for all of them. They treat all the loved ones in their charge with dignity, respect and above all kindness. The bedroom is always clean, his clothes are treated very respectfully. I would 100% recommend Parklands to anyone who is looking for excellence and the best of care.

Since my mother entered Parklands Care Home in July 2015 I have always felt at ease with the care she was getting. The staff are very approachable and always answer any questions or concerns I have.

My mother is usually at ease with the staff in her room and in the lounges. The little trips out they have are very good for the residents.

My mother-in-law went into Parklands in very poor health. We didn't expect her to live very long but she stayed there until recently when she passed away.

It was all down to the care she received. In our experience, Parklands is very friendly, welcoming you in on every visit.

Personal care is individualised to the needs of the resident.

Housekeeping, in general, is good - the carpet, deep recesses of chairs, tables etc could have a more thorough clean. This is completed but requires it being brought to their attention.

Activities still seem very limited - putting on a film or radio is insufficient stimulation.

More engagement with local community groups/schools etc may generate more interesting visits, concerts etc.

My husband has Alzheimers and is being cared for with great sympathy and understanding of his condition. He is always treated with respect and every effort is made to make sure he is comfortable and content. There is a lovely, caring atmosphere in the lounges and the staff are very welcoming and friendly. I have every confidence that my husband is being well cared for.

I would thoroughly recommend Parklands to anyone looking to place their relative in a caring, professional and well-run environment.
The rooms are modern, clean and exceptionally well maintained and as a purpose built facility Parklands enjoys easily accessible lounges and dining rooms all on the same level which is good for the residents to be able to be free to move around on their own.
Mum has always complimented the friendliness of the staff and she is relaxed knowing she has the privacy of her own room but help on hand should she need it.
Management is open and accessible which is really reassuring whenever you have a query and are always quick to respond.

We were recommended Parklands by a care professional and I'm pleased to report they were quite right!

Staff are wonderful and greet you with cheerfulness, they can't do enough for you. Most homes you go into there is usually a smell of urine but there is no smell here, it is very fresh and comforting. We come a fair distance to see my sister in law and it was lunch time when we came but the staff and manager brought us in and made us a cup of tea and made us feel very welcome. The Parklands is close to a very high standard and my sister in law has everything she needs here.

After visiting 6 nursing home in the area, this was my first choice. On approach, the nursing home is very well maintained, especially the garden areas, which is important to my mother. The first impression was very good. I was made to feel welcome when I made my first enquiry. Staff very helpful and genuine, the home itself is very well maintained, clean and well designed.

In conclusion, I would highly recommend this home.
