It was all down to the care she received. In our experience, Parklands is very friendly, welcoming you in on every visit.
Housekeeping, in general, is good - the carpet, deep recesses of chairs, tables etc could have a more thorough clean. This is completed but requires it being brought to their attention.
Activities still seem very limited - putting on
More engagement with local community groups/schools etc may generate more interesting visits, concerts etc.

I am the Home Manager at Parklands Care Home in Alloa, bringing over 25 years of healthcare experience, including 14 years in care home management. Originally from Hampshire, I began my career as an intensive care nurse after earning my degree in Adult Health Nursing from the University of Southampton in 2001.
After a decade in intensive care, I transitioned to care home nursing, where I found my passion for delivering high-quality, person-centred care. Since moving to Scotland, I have worked across nursing homes, intensive care, learning disability support, and mental health care, before joining Meallmore’s Parklands Care Home as Deputy Manager in 2023.
Now as Home Manager, I am committed to ensuring residents receive the highest standards of care in a welcoming and supportive environment. I am proud to lead a fantastic team and be part of an organisation that truly values quality care, community, and continuous improvement.
