My father-in-law has resided here since mid-July 2023. From the 1st point of contact with the manager to the domestic assistants who ensure his clothes are laundered. I cannot fault the commitment towards ensuring he has the best quality of life. The communication between us and all staff is open and constant. They work closely with the whole team around him to ensure his well-being in all aspects of his life. He’s struggled to engage and they are resilient in their attempts to support his transition to group living. We have regular communication and the extensive activity planner is second to none. If we have any queries or worries the open door policy of the manager and staff team is available at any time. As someone who works in the care sector, I have to say this is a cut about the norm.

I visited my mother-in-law who told me how lonely and bored she feels. Although she suffers from dementia the quality of her life would be much improved by exercise and mental stimulation. She needs to be persuaded to eat with others and to join in all the available activities. The hem on her trousers was ripped- this was a lady who was always smart and immaculately dressed with beautifully manicured nails. They are now often long and dirty. She deserves better.

During my uncle's stay, we found the Care Home to be amazing in more ways than one. Right from the moment he was taken there till the day he passed away on 3rd July 2023. All staff and nurses were approachable and attentive in all aspects of care and nursing needed. He was well looked after and nothing was a problem. Clean spotless and comfortable surroundings made it a pleasure for us to leave him in their care. Thank you to everyone involved for his care.

After viewing numerous care homes we decided Parklands Care Home in Alloa was the one for our brother.
During his stay, he was well cared for and enjoyed the friendly banter with the staff.
The home is well designed allowing residents to move around the corridors with ease. The staff encourage the residents to participate in the activities available each day.
The sunflower lounge/cafe is a lovely peaceful room where residents can take their visitors and enjoy tea, coffee and delicious home baking.
Every member of staff went above and beyond to make sure his needs were met to the highest standard as they were to his family on their daily visits.

We would have no hesitation recommending Parklands to anyone looking for a lovely home for their loved ones.

We chose Parklands Care Home after viewing a number of homes and the warm feeling from when we visited from the staff was very positive.
The care home is modern with good facilities. Each bedroom is spacious and fitted out with nice furniture with plenty of storage and a private en-suite with a shower.
The home is spotless and is run like a 5* hotel and my elderly uncle couldn't have asked for more.
There was regular entertainment and a monthly activity planner in place with staff genuinely getting involved in fun days.
My uncle enjoyed all the meals with the menu changing daily and various choices available and no excuse needed to eat cake daily, even for breakfast if he chose to!
The staff are absolutely brilliant, and very evident that they loved their job. My uncle was safe and very well cared for with dignity and genuine warmth and kindness. In addition, the support they showed our family was just amazing.

Highly recommend and will miss my wee visits to Parklands.

My mother was a resident in Parklands from June 2022 until February 2023. The detail involved in planning her care was very good and there were regular reviews and updates of her care plan. The staff were all lovely and there was great interaction with residents. Also with relatives and friends. I was very happy with Mum's overall care. The rooms and communal areas were very pleasant and clean. The food and dining areas - excellent. I would recommend Parklands to anyone looking for a warm, sympathetic and caring environment for a relative.

Overall, Parklands is ideally the place for my husband as it's near to me. The room is very nice and has everything he needs. The food has always been very good, and the staff are caring and helpful. His room is always clean, and activities are regular. The one thing I know is that he is looked after and safe.

I visit my friend weekly or twice a week. I always find my friend well cared for whether she chooses to have a day in bed or be up and about. The staff are always very welcoming and although they are busy they always treat my friend and me in a courteous manner. Throughout the pandemic, they worked hard to maintain a safe space for all. I enjoy visiting my friend, we can have long chats in her room or go out for coffee. My experience of my contact with the home has been a good one.

My brother and I chose Parklands mainly because of the good reviews we read on the website and following a quick visit to the home but, unfortunately, our experience for our dear mum was way below our expectations. There were problems with her medical care and visiting arrangements were onerous. She had a fall and neither my brother or myself were informed. The phone was very rarely answered at weekends or at certain times of the day. In hindsight, we regret choosing Parklands for our dear mum.

Parklands Care Home is a fantastic care home, both my grandmother and great aunt came here at the start of the year. Although difficult for them both, they settled in well and the staff made them feel at home in their new residence.
The home is maintained to a high standard and the staff are wonderful. Despite a global pandemic the staff have done their upmost best and went out of their way to be accommodating.

The care can not be faulted, I would not hesitate to recommend this care home to other families.

My partner is a resident in care and has been for two years suffering from dementia. Frail but keeping very well thanks to the hardworking care and nursing staff on call 24/7. She has a very nice ensuite bedroom, fully furnished and very well set up. I have a room visit two days a week from two till three and afternoon tea is served at three but not for me, my time is up. A member of staff safely escorts me from the home.

Parklands Care Home is a lovely well run home. My mum has been in care here since January 2020 and has been treated with dignity and respect by all the staff. There are lots of events going on in the home that keep everyone's spirits up during this terrible time of Covid. My mum could not have been in a better care home and I thank all the staff for all their hard work over the last year.

I have visited Parklands in Alloa weekly since my friend moved there 18 months ago. The atmosphere is so welcoming and the staff so helpful. I knew my friend was safe and well cared for. She died a few weeks ago in her 96th year. During the last few weeks of her life, she could not have had better care and was treated at all times with such dignity. Her friend there will miss her so much and I have been very impressed with the loving support the staff have given her. A credit to their work.

My brother moved into care several weeks ago after having spent about six months in hospital. When in hospital he became very depressed and was at times hallucinating and very distraught. On arrival at the care home at first, he was very unsettled. Over the past few weeks, the care he has received from the staff has been amazing. He has completely changed, is settled and now enjoying himself and feels very safe and comfortable. All credit to the staff and the care home for the most improvement in his life.
