Hanford Court is such a welcoming home and my great Nanna has been extremely happy and content there. It was so lovely to be able to visit my great Nanna in the pod and was the first time in person as I was only able to see her via FaceTime.

I was very unsure when Mum moved into Hanford Court, however, I soon realised what an excellent facility she is in. She, herself, absolutely loves it and rest assured we would know about it if anything was wrong. The staff are brilliant with everyone.

I cannot fault this care home, it is sparkling clean, the rooms are amazing and the staff - I can not say how good they are. They treat every resident as if they were family, they are so caring and I have never heard any raised voices. The food is served hotel-style and is delicious according to my
father.

On a good day, overall standards are acceptable. On an off day, food tends to be unattractive and unappetising (lacks imagination for elderly people with dementia).
Staff shortages are noticeable with a decline in personal care and poor housekeeping standards. Staff shortages lead to a decline in individual
client needs, e.g. toileting, washing, grooming and assistance with feeding on occasions when the resident is having an 'off day'. More and varied activities would benefit residents.

My mother spent 3 weeks respite in Hanford Court. the staff and facilities were excellent and she will definitely be returning there in the future. I would recommend Hanford Court as their care is second to none.

I would like to thank all the staff at Hanford Court Stoke on Trent.
In particular, those staff on the Doulton floor for the care given to my dad in the past 3 years.
They have given excellent care beyond expectations and also the kindness and resources shown to us in the last few weeks of care.
Congratulations to the deputy manager on her promotion top manager, well deserved.

My brother must be one of the most challenging residents that Avery have ever had to deal with because of his age and complex needs, but in the six years that he has been with you, all I have witnessed is that he ahs been treated with dignity, compassion and a level of care that I cannot envisage anyone
else being able to deliver.


To be able to go to bed at night knowing he is safe and secure is something I will be eternally grateful for.

When we were looking for a respite bed for my 92-year-old mother on her discharge from hospital we visited some truly dreadful places. We were lucky to find Hanford court which is always clean, smells nice and is staffed by a whole team of kind and friendly people. The food is always good. Mum has a
nice big room with her own en-suite facilities and is kept warm, clean and comfortable. Staff even take residents for the occasional pub lunch and hairdressers come regularly. What's not to like?

From the moment of arriving staff were helpful and pleasant. The care home is always clean and refreshments for visitors are always stocked. The activities for the residents are great especially the dancing. The price of the care home is rather expensive, however, you know that your family member is

My father has been a resident at Hanford Court Care Home for 2 1/2 years and I could not be more impressed with the care he has received. He is always kept clean and well cared for and the staff are particularly attentive to the complex health needs. There is always a relaxed and happy atmosphere at

Hello, my name is Gemma, and I am delighted to be the Home Manager here at Hanford Court.


Having the privilege to work here for the past 9 years, Hanford Court has truly become a second home for me.


With 17 years’ experience in the healthcare sector my previous roles have included, Carer/Senior Carer, Team Leader, Trainer, and Deputy Manager. I have also achieved qualifications such as NVQ Level 5, Social Care, and a Diploma in Sociology, where I have gained the skills and knowledge to succeed in my role today.


Within this time, I have shared many treasured moments with the residents I have had the pleasure to meet.


Seeing my residents smile each day gives me the motivation to perform at the highest level. One proud moment that I will cherish throughout my career was when I was able to fulfil one of my residents’ dreams of riding in a helicopter. It was so special just to see how happy they were.


I would best describe myself as very sociable. We have multiple cosy lounge areas throughout our home where you will often find me having a cuppa and a natter with one of our residents. In my spare time, I enjoy cooking and watching football.


Avery Healthcare, owners of Hanford Court, best stands out for their award-winning standards of care. And our home is no different. My favourite aspect of Hanford Court would be its beautiful, landscaped gardens which residents can enjoy all year round, whether that be planting crops to later be used by our talented culinary team or just simply soaking up the sun on a summer’s day. We have also recently installed our visiting pod which facilitates safe visiting for our residents and their loved ones.
