Our friend has been a resident for about 18 months and in that time she has been well cared for. Our friends vascular dementia has not been too obvious and she is, with carers help, able to enjoy life and the various outings.

Generally I am very pleased with Admiral Court although I do have reservations with some of the contract/agency staff who do not understand individual needs quite so much.

Mostly my mother is well cared for but our wishes are not always acted on regarding her dressing. We have noticed in her room advising "what (my mother) likes" and these are sometimes completely ignored!!!

The home is always welcoming and well presented. The home is always clean and smells fresh. Carers are always friendly and caring. Sometimes a little slow to respond, however this is not an issue. The food is excellent and there is a constant supply of tea, juice and cake. Nan is happy an very well looked after.

Mother feels safe, happy and secure. Home is beautiful. Staff are amazing. Gives family peace of mind that our mother is in the best place and is safe and well cared for to the standard we would provide if at home. Feels like home and we always feel welcome. If there are any issues they are addressed and resolved immediately. Family are always consulted and included in any decisions relating to our mother and the home in general.

Dad has been a resident of Admiral Court for ten months and our whole family have been very impressed with the care he has received. He is treated with respect and sensitivity, due to a veteran of WW2. He is allowed to do what he wants with no pressure - stay in his room or join in on activities. He enjoys the food and has put on weight since arriving. We hope he will stay at Admiral court in the rest of his days and continue to receive their expert care.

Every time I come to visit my nan she always mentions how much she likes it here. My nan feels safe and secure. The staff are always friendly, very helpful and have become an extension to our family. Gives us all peace of mind to know my mum is happy and in a loving environment getting the best care possible.

We have been associated with Hallmark for several years both at another care home and Admiral Court. The staff have always treated us and my parents with respect and kindness, and always addressed any problems immediately. The word "love" is often overused these days but I do believe at Admiral Court it is meant.

Dad was in a home previously and he was deteriorating so we moved him to Admiral Court and he has picked up in terms of his overall wellbeing. The level of care there is excellent and he is treated with sensitivity and dignity. The food is excellent and he has put on weight. I am sanguine that he is looked after by experts and safe and secure.

Such a wonderful place from the people to the facilities and care! The activities which are planned each day are fantastic and there is so much to see and do. High quality entertainers most days and it always seems to me that it's any excuse for a party.

I cannot recommend Admiral Court highly enough. The staff and facilities are by far the best within the area. Their approach to care is person-centred, which is how it should be, although this was the only place that centred care around the residences needs where other places centred care around what was easiest for the staff . The care my Grandpa received was excellent and tailored to his needs; and he was treated as an individual, with dignity, and nothing was ever too much trouble.

Jess DaviesJob Title:General ManagerJoined: 2025

With over 25 years in social care, I’m proud to be General Manager at Admiral Court Care Home, where my passion for care truly comes to life.

I joined Hallmark after being inspired by its focus on living well with dementia — and I’ve never looked back. Every day is different, filled with teamwork, energy, and purpose. I love supporting others to grow, creating a happy and safe home for residents and staff alike. Outside work, I enjoy time with my family, travelling, swimming, and relaxing with a good film and a glass of wine.

Kay Palmer
Kay PalmerJob Title:Customer Relationship Manager

I am very humbled to have a job where I get to help families and loved ones on their journey in making a very difficult decision to come into care, easier.

I always wanted to make a positive difference in someone’s life, even if just a little, being a Customer Relationship Manager helps me do this every day. Taking a little of the emotional burden they are feeling away, but most of all letting them know they are not alone and I am here to walk that journey with them, side by side.

To make a difference to someone’s life is a truly special position to be in. My job enables me to do this every day. I love what I do.
