Parker Meadows

Throughout mums stay I was kept fully informed about changes to mums health or medications. Many of the staff who were at Parker Meadows when mum moved in were still there when she passed away. This gave a feeling that they really knew &cared for mum. Thank you to all the staff for the care you gave my mum. I would strongly recommend Parker Meadows.

My father went for two weeks residential respite at Parker Meadows at short notice when another placement fell through. From start to finish all staff from management to kitchen staff treated us all with kindness and respect. Nothing was too much trouble for them and my father did not want to leave.Would not hesitate to use them again.

This was the first time my dad went in for respite so as a family we were all a bit apprehensive and unsure but we had nothing to worry about. Everyone was so welcoming and genuinely kind.

From the first telephone enquiry to the day we took dad home everything and everyone was faultless. This home really is impressive and the reviews I read to help me make my decision were so true and honest. My mum has now had a much needed rest and she is ready to look after dad again.

My friend has been a resident at Parker meadows care home for approximately 3 years and I am very impressed with the care and attention he receives on a daily basis. The home is immaculate and the staff are amazing and are so attentive to all his needs and nothing is too much bother for them. They are very helpful to friends and family. There is a variety of entertainments and events which residents and friends all enjoy. The food is top class too. All in all all a top class home.

Everyone at Parker meadows go above and beyond to make my godmother feel comfortable and at home, she lives in one of the self contained bungalows which are amazing, everything you could wish for, independent living but also know there is someone available if you ever need help or just some company, thank you so much for also always making me feel very welcome

My dad has received excellent care at Parker Meadows. He is 87 years old and has Alzheimer's disease. I have always dreaded the day my dad would need to go in to care, however, I am so glad he is now. Parker Meadows is safe and secure and designed as a care home for the elderly. My dad's room is large with a large ensuite where he can be showered sitting down. The home is always warm and there is always a staff member nearby to ask questions or talk to. My dad has settled in really well there. I can not praise the staff enough for their care of my dad, he is always clean and dressed everyday. There is afternoon activities everyday for the residents and the food is very very good. My dad thinks he is staying in a hotel, that's how good it is. The carers and nurses there are a regular team who I have got to know. Even the managers will stop and talk if they see you, I can not recommend Parker Meadows enough. I have been kept updated regularly with regards to my dad's health.

My mother has been in Parker meadows for over two years. She is 95. We have seen her health and cognitive abilities improve since she has been there. From our perspective the care is excellent. My mum says it's like living in a hotel !)

He seems to enjoy all of his meals which seem varied. I don't think you can ask for anything more from the staff and the place has a lovely friendly atmosphere.

8 weeks ago we chose to move our father to Parker Meadows due to a rapid deterioration in his health during 2025 and the need for 24/7 support. His and our experience has been entirely positive, as the staff helped him through a difficult emotional adjustment to losing his independence. The patient and dignified support means he is now happy, settled and has given his family & friends the opportunity to enjoy time with him, rather than trying to be carers. If I was in a home, I hope it would be Parker Meadows!!

We looked at a number of Care Homes for my wife who needs palliative care and nothing came close to Parker Meadows for standard of accommodation. I liken it to a room at a luxury hotel compared with many other Care Homes. It is often stated that it's the level of care that is important, but the level of accommodation is important to the resident, and their loved ones in lasting memories. The common vision of a large common room where most residents sit around during the day is not the case at Parker Meadows. Larger numbers of residents often gather downstairs in the entrance lounge for scheduled activities. Dining areas are also smaller and numerous but that does not detract from personal in room service to support needs of less well residents. Care and medical needs are also very well provided for by a team of nurses , carers, housekeeping, cleaners and other support staff. Well managed, professional care, in a modern custom built home where 'Care' is evident everywhere. A must to view.

Our mother was able to celebrate her birthday in very pleasant surroundings on Thursday, 1st January. The thoughtful gestures of providing prosecco and cake were truly appreciated and contributed greatly to making the occasion feel special. We are also grateful for the efforts of the staff at the home, who went out of their way to ensure our mother had a nice time. The dedication and attention of the staff made a meaningful difference, and we are very thankful for their kindness.

I couldn't have wished for my husband (and myself) to be better cared for during his 8 month stay in nursing care at Parker Meadows. We were both welcomed into the Family and enabled to enjoy his last months to make special memories together. During his last few days he was made comfortable and treated with such kindness. I was especially touched over the last couple of days when the care staff going off shift popped in to spend a little time with him. This is care from people who really do get to know the individuals they look after and become like family.

Our family view is that Parker Meadows is overall just the best quality, value for money Care Home we have in our area.

My sister chose Parker Meadows above others that she had seen in Portsmouth and Fareham. she was impressed with the beautiful surroundings, the welcoming café with its coffee machine and home-made cakes, the activities organised every day and her beautiful bedroom with en-suite . She thought the staff were amazing, kind and helpful. As my sister deteriorated with her vascular dementia. the staff were professional, patient and kind with her. The staff informed me with every aspect of my sister's care and if ever there was a problem. My sister could not have been happier. I thank them all so much for all they did for my sister.

We loved the coffee lounge downstairs too. We have been invited back for coffee at any time.

My mother passed away recently after a short illness having been a resident at Parker Meadows for the past 3 years. During this time she received excellent care. She was well cared for, entertained and led a happy and comfortable life. All the staff at the home from administration to carers, kitchen, housekeeping, maintenance etc treated mum well and with dignity. It was always a joy to visit her. She was always telling me how happy she was living there. As her daughter I couldn't have asked for more.

Thank you to everyone: carers, housekeepers, reception team, activity team, chefs and all! We will never forget you all.

Parker Meadow expedited my mum's entry to the care home at our request which was amazing. From then on I continued to be thoroughly impressed by the staff, facilities and attention to detail - as did my mum. I could not have wished for a better place for my mum to spend her last days and I will be forever grateful to the whole team at Parker Meadows.

Took very good care of my nan in her final days. Lovely staff and good quality of care in the times when I visited. Very accessible for residents too and people like the activities there when I saw them happening. You can tell the staff really care greatly and work hard for the residents.
