My nan was very well looked after - she was seen to when needed. The staff were very kind, friendly and they were amazing with my nan. I couldn’t fault them in any way.

My dad was a strong independent man. He was difficult to care for in his last few months. This hospice cared for him greatly and I saw only affection on the few times that I visited. I am forever grateful to them.

With all the negative views heard about care homes on the news we soon had our fears removed. When we first walked into the reception the atmosphere was welcoming yet professional, everyone was so attentive to Mums needs. We were then taken to Mum's room, we the family, had no feeling of fear leaving her in their care, from the lead nurses, office staff and all other staff. The way they looked after Mum with so much love and care, were there for us the family, ready to put an arm around us, explaining what was happening to Mum, nothing was too much trouble. To us, the family, the care was outstanding. We have nothing but praise for them. We spent many hours between us at the end and were always made welcome with Mum ending her life with dignity.

My mother was only a resident of St Fillans for 2 weeks before she sadly passed away. The care and compassion that all members of staff at the home gave could not be faulted. Nothing was too much trouble and there was always someone available to talk to or see to mum's needs.

My mother has been resident at St Fillans Care Centre for three years after short period of respite care. The home has improved since the current manager took charge. The home is modern and welcoming. There are a variety of entertainment and other "hobby" groups. Food is good. Carers are very caring.

St Fillans, in my opinion, is a lovely nursing care home. The thing that I like the most about this establishment is the staff and their caring friendly attitude. If my sister or family ever have a slight worry or concern it is always dealt with quickly and resolved satisfactorily.

There are daily activities which try to accommodate all the residents' needs. This is an ongoing programme to find more things that the residents would enjoy.

My mother has been in St Fillans for the last 4 weeks. I have been very impressed with the individualised care and support. Excellent facilities, always very clean and tidy. All staff work in a gentle person-centred manner, it has a wonderful atmosphere. Staff and management take ownership and work in harmony with reciprocal respect.

The first thing to strike me was how welcoming and friendly the staff all were. Very approachable. The home had a happy and pleasant atmosphere and nothing seemed too much trouble. The residents were in the company of staff who were interacting with them. There were activities and staff made all efforts to include everyone.

There has been a lot of improvements over the last year, lots more activities. I went to relatives meeting and lots of good things are going to happen, what the manager says does happen.

This wasn't the case in the past. All the staff are wonderful as my daughter has been at St Fillans for 4 years we have seen many changes, but the care has been constant. My daughter loves the staff and it's lovely when I have to leave I know she is well looked after.

I recall attending a relatives meeting at St Fillans in June of this year, soon after the arrival of the new care home manager. At the time there was an acknowledgement that there was a need to improve standards across the home.
Whilst its still early days, I am pleased to say that there has already been a noticeable improvement in standards across the home.
In my view, there is now a more 'homely' feel around the place and I particularly appreciate the renewed warmth, kindness and care shown to my aunt and uncle.

Thank you to everyone involved in achieving this improvement and please keep it going.
