From reception to cleaners to caterers and even maintenance crew - the staff all take an interest in the residents - which is great.

My husband is looked after very well. The staff are very good with him and also the nursing staff.

Welcoming inclusive atmosphere. De-escalation when some residents show challenging behaviour is done very well, shows staff well recruited and trained. Staff stay in post, so continuity of care. Obvious the staff respect residents and their families and they see it as the resident's home, not their workplace. Communication and care needs of residents well met as continuity of care vital to wellbeing.

My mum moved to Allingham in August 2017 and stayed for 2 and a half weeks before she passed away at the beginning of September. During this difficult time, all the staff treated mum with care, dignity and comparison. They helped us to settle him in and deal with her illness. The food, cleanliness and facilities were all first class. As my first experience of a nursing home, I could not have been happier. Thank you to all the staff.

Super clean, excellent meals and food. Great activities team and weekly entertainment. All the residents look happy and interact well. The facilities are very good and well maintained. Nothing is too much trouble. Thank you to all at Allington House.

The atmosphere is welcoming and relaxed.

One of the better care homes, well organised and managed. It does come at a price. I hope the local authority feels able to pick up the fees when the money runs out. Always a worry.

My experience has always been excellent here - there is always such a warm and welcoming atmosphere which always makes my day! The staff are so wonderful and helpful and are willing to go out of their way to make residents feel comfortable and happy. It is always such a pleasure to come here every week and it's so lovely to see what that activities staff do to keep residents entertained.

Very clean and well-maintained home. Have every confidence that Dad's needs are being met. Extremely friendly and considerate staff. Visitors are welcome at any time of the day. Emergencies are dealt with smoothly and efficiently and communication is very good. No issue in recommending Allingham House Care Centre to anyone.

My mother received the best of care at Allingham House until her recent death. She had been a resident for 3 1/2 years and it truly was her home surrounded by people who looked after her with dignity, care, professionalism and friendship. There are too many people I would like to thank for making by mum's final years enjoyable, sociable and fun.

Allingham is a well-run home. The staff, without exception, are all wonderful. They are all very caring and sensitive to each individual's needs. The facilities at Allingham are good, with regular new introductions. For me, the great atmosphere created at the home is down to the activities staff. They create fresh activities and trips out for residents. I know my Mum benefits a lot from their hard work.

The carers have been so attentive, caring, sensitive understanding and empathetic. My father is devastated by the loss of his wife of 67 years; the staff at the home could not have been more kind. My father is sometimes in denial, the staff handle him with the skill of leading psychologists. I have words of praise, I cannot fault them.

The entertainment officer is outstanding. She is very kind, charming, considerate and dedicated to making the life of the residents more pleasurable and enjoyable. She is very alert to be helpful and goes beyond "the call of duty".

My mother left the hospital, considered by doctors to be at "end of life" and transferred to Allingham House Care Centre. Within a few weeks, she was able to sit in a wheelchair, feed herself and interact fully with residents and carers. I put this huge improvement in my mother's condition entirely down to the management and staff at Allingham House. If she had stayed in the hospital I have no doubt that she would no longer be with us.

Management and care team excellent, food very nice. I see everyone working tirelessly to maintain top standards for their residents, Allingham House should be a national standard.

Often the carers go beyond their job description to provide support and comfort. The cleanliness too is excellent - particularly compared to the previous care home my mother was in.

As a family, we have seen an overall good standard of care of our mum. The staff seem professional and caring of the patients, which for us is the most important thing. Hygiene standards are high. Activities good and beneficial.
