My dad has been here for just over a year now and has been very well looked after throughout. It has been understandably difficult for him to adjust to life in care after being independent for so many years (he is 93). It was also something of a problem that he had visited my mum who suffered from Alzheimers at an EMI care home on a daily basis for 12 years. The staff at Chesterton Lodge have been wonderful though and I don't think that he could be in a better place.

I have cared for my mother for the past 40 years since my father died, but the past few years she has had dementia. I feel that now she is in care, she is looked after very well. She has been in Chesterton Lodge for one year and in that time I have found that all her needs are seen to. All the staff are very caring and seem to go that extra mile to ensure that my Mum is looked after. I was worried about my mother being looked after in a care home but I would have no hesitation but to recommend Chesterton Lodge. I find that my review below says it all.

Since Sept 4th 2014 my husband has had excellent care. All of the staff are so caring and kind. As soon as I walk through the door you can feel at home with all the staff. Of all the homes we looked at we knew this was the right one. The choice of food is excellent and well presented. My husband was in another care home for 8 weeks and he lost 1 and a half stone, but he soon put it on after he had been in Chesterton Lodge because the staff encouraged him to eat his food.
