Review from J S (Daughter-in-law of Resident) published on 2 March 2016 Submitted via Postal Card
Overall Experience

Generally happy with the care my mother-in-law received. Did have a couple of issues at end of life with a particular member of nursing staff. Care staff mostly attentive and professional. Few issues with cleaning. Food could have been a better quality and some care assistants need some training around feeding. Some care assistants were excellent and gave us confidence. Did not appreciate at all this questionnaire arriving with a sympathy card. Very insensitive indeed.

Overall Experience
Our mother was in St James Court for 9 months until she passed away in November.
The care she received was excellent and was treated with care, compassion and dignity, especially in the last few weeks of her life.

All staff from carers to cleaners are cheerful and friendly and nothing is too much trouble. We are pleased we chose St James Court and would highly recommend it to anyone.

Review from Roslyn P (Brother of Resident) published on 12 November 2015 Submitted via Postal Card
Overall Experience

My brother was taken to the home from hospital, because he was end of life care. I cannot thank the staff enough for the care and compassion they showed my brother. He was not the best patient but all that was due to his illness. He had M.S and a very bad case of it. The position he was in caused really bad bed sores and he had to be moved every two hours which the staff did when he would let them. If I ever get into the position that I had to go into a home it would certainly be St James that I would pick.

Review from Sheila M (Daughter of Resident) published on 10 November 2015 Submitted via Postal Card
Overall Experience

My dad was admitted on an emergency basis by rapid response. From arrival to leaving, his care was excellent. He was extremely ill and fragile on arrival and left to to try and be independent at home, a stronger and healthier person. If living in his own home fails, I would not hesitate in contacting this care home for their assistance.

Review from Pamela W (Mother of Resident) published on 10 November 2015 Submitted via Postal Card
Overall Experience

My mother is 37 years old suffering from multiple sclerosis, she stayed for seven weeks in respite care and was only 7 stone, after 2 weeks she was 8 stone and 9lbs and she is now 10 stone 2lbs. She looks great and this is a testament to the delicious meals and care she had at St James Court. The staff are exceptional, kind and dedicated doing a very hard job with humour and respect. Well done, thank you to you all.
