Located in the pretty village of Iffley, the care home has beautiful large gardens in a very tranquil and peaceful setting.

Not only do the team provide residential, dementia, nursing and palliative care, they also provide respite care, which can be booked in advance. This is ideal if you are caring for a relative at home and would like to take a break, with the peace of mind of knowing the team are providing care and companionship.

There are so many places in the home for residents to relax with loved ones, who are welcome at any time. There is a cinema room for movie afternoons, welcoming lounges and dining rooms, where residents enjoy delicious home-cooked meals, with everything from roast dinners with all the trimmings to fish and chip Fridays. And there is always home-baking for afternoon tea and lighter bites for those with a smaller appetite.

There is a beautiful large garden and two smaller courtyard gardens, which have wheelchair friendly pathways and raised beds, for those who enjoy a spot of gardening. All of the bedrooms, which are spacious and ensuite, on the ground floor have patio doors leading to the gardens.

Iffley also has a hair and beauty salon for appointments with a mobile hairdresser and a spot of pampering. The team has also created a bar area, where the residents enjoy quizzes with their favourite tipple!

There is plenty to do at Iffley, from gentle exercise to arts and crafts. The team are also passionate about keeping residents connected to the community outside the home, so organise trips out in the home’s minibus.

This depends on your care needs and the type of bedroom that is right for you, from our standard rooms through to our premium bedroom options.

Mum has been at Iffley sanctuary since 2018. She was a resident on the ground floor for the first three years and made friends, and there was an amazing continuity with the staff. Since Covid, Mum has moved to the first floor. She is very well looked after, but staff continuity is not so good; NHS needs
to look after them better. Office and admin are always excellent and always reply to emails quickly. Very good care home.

The care my sister receives at the care home is excellent. She very soon settled into her bedroom and responded to the kindness and consideration shown to her. Particularly the patience required in dealing with her moods and needs. Added to this, the food is excellent and the laundry service is regular
and of a high standard. The management is helpful and well organised - always ready to assist. I have ample opportunities made to visit. The residents have outings in their minibus and enjoy tea and cakes at their venues. I compliment all staff throughout the home for their kindness, courtesy and patience. Also for how well organised and smoothly run everything is. Well done and thank you.

We have been very pleased with the care offered to our mother over the past 7 months on the ground floor. Excellent all-round care home. Mum was in for two weeks respite and everyone made her feel welcome and very comfortable. All staff were friendly and kind and made her stay happy and comfortable. The food was lovely too!

Sadly I witnessed a resident wait fifty minutes from telling an agency nurse that he wanted to go to the toilet to someone doing something about it. The (presumably senior) agency nurse did have time to do something and went downstairs though! At 12:30, no lunch menus, no lunch!

Complete care package for residents unable to do anything for themselves. resident nurse and weekly doctor visits for all. Staff keep in contact to inform of any changes to residents' help or needs. Chiropodist and hairdresser, all available at the home. All requests or worries are dealt with promptly.

Where to begin...
The staff are amazing, we are always greeted with a smile, and the carers are second to none. Mum feels at home at Iffley, everyone is treated with real love and dignity, and even when I take my dad to visit Mum, the staff really looked after him and me. We know that Mum won't be
here forever, but the staff make sure her last days are full of fun and love.

My mum has been very well cared for at Iffley, and most importantly she's been very happy there. The facilities are great, the food is excellent, and they took great pains to welcome her and make sure her room felt like "home" when she moved in. The staff are unfailingly kind and cheerful, and have
managed her decline with respect and professionalism; I've been so impressed with how they have managed this very difficult year. Overall this is a very happy, excellently run home, and we couldn't have wished for a better place for mum to spend her final years.

My aunt is well cared for and really loves the staff. She can not speak highly enough of them. The home is well presented and the staff I have had the pleasure of meeting are lovely, and genuinely care for the residents.

My mother has been resident at the care home for almost 5 years. She is happy there and I am currently able to visit her once a week, though I'm not sure she appreciates the screen and it does make it even harder for her to hear what I am saying. The staff are always very kind to her and helpful to

We knew immediately that Iffley was the right home for my Mum. She has been so well cared for by the enthusiastic and positive staff.

My view of care homes was turned on its head by my experience of helping my dad move here into residential care.
Excellent doesn't even come close to the care he received from the entire team, which works in a joined-up sensitive, thoughtful way with all residents who are given the utmost respect as
individuals. The same courtesy and kindness are extended to all family members. Dad was made to feel that he was a valued member of the community, and I felt the same. We were all held in a professional, secure embrace by a shining example of resident-centred care.
There is no doubt in my mind that facilitating dad's move here was one of the best things I ever did for him. Sadly, he died recently, but each of those very special staff will hold a permanent place in my heart.

My dad went into this home earlier this year. He has settled in very well, he now calls it home. The management and staff are brilliant with him. I find them all very caring and helpful; they always make me feel very welcome. Nothing is too much trouble for them. Love seeing Dad so happy.
