Located in the pretty village of Iffley, the care home has beautiful large gardens in a very tranquil and peaceful setting.
Not only do the team provide residential, dementia, nursing and palliative care, they also provide respite care, which can be booked in advance. This is ideal if you are caring for a relative at home and would like to take a break, with the peace of mind of knowing the team are providing care and companionship.
There are so many places in the home for residents to relax with loved ones, who are welcome at any time. There is a cinema room for movie afternoons, welcoming lounges and dining rooms, where residents enjoy delicious home-cooked meals, with everything from roast dinners with all the trimmings to fish and chip Fridays. And there is always home-baking for afternoon tea and lighter bites for those with a smaller appetite.
There is a beautiful large garden and two smaller courtyard gardens, which have wheelchair friendly pathways and raised beds, for those who enjoy a spot of gardening. All of the bedrooms, which are spacious and ensuite, on the ground floor have patio doors leading to the gardens.
Iffley also has a hair and beauty salon for appointments with a mobile hairdresser and a spot of pampering. The team has also created a bar area, where the residents enjoy quizzes with their favourite tipple!
There is plenty to do at Iffley, from gentle exercise to arts and crafts. The team are also passionate about keeping residents connected to the community outside the home, so organise trips out in the home’s minibus.

My mum has been a resident at Iffley for 2 and a half years and her care has been professional even when she has been difficult. She has always been treated with patience and compassion and I would recommend the home to anyone.

My job is very varied which keeps it interesting. One of my favourite parts of the job is chatting to the residents and putting a smile on their faces.

I joined Iffley Care Home in April 2022, While I have been a Chef for many years this is my first role within a care home setting. I have enjoyed getting to know the residents through daily interactions, they come with a wealth of life experience and are keen to discuss the menu around their likes and dislikes.

I came to work here just over 5 years ago having never worked in care. It is a role that is very rewarding and I discovered that I really enjoy working with the residents and being in a care home environment.
My current role gives me the chance to interact with all the residents living in the home on a daily basis and make sure that their rooms are clean and homely.
