St Margaret's Care Home

My overall experience of the home is outstanding, very polite and hardworking. The care home is very clean and I think my father will absolutely love staying here.

From my very first contact by phone with St Margaret's, I knew that it was the place of care and dignity where my aunt would be well cared for as an individual. Every single member of staff from all areas of the home knows the residents and has time for them. A wide range of activities are provided with residents feeding in ideas of what they would like to do. Trips out, beauty sessions, armchair yoga, sports, TV, and visits from the local nursery all ensure an active outlook for residents. It is a lovely, caring "home-from-home".

Since my mum moved to St Margaret's, she has been very happy. The staff are excellent. I am very pleased with my mum's care. She enjoys all activities. Had a lovely day out at the museum and other days out, she enjoys everything.

I am extremely pleased with the cleanliness of the premises. Although the staff are extremely busy they will find a moment to engage. My family were especially pleased with the birthday spread put on for my wife.

Since joining the care home in October my mother has had excellent care in every aspect. The full staff has bent backwards to make sure she settled in without stress or distress. Her every whim is catered for, especially endless cups of tea. Any concerns the family has have been resolved and openly and we have a good relationship with the staff. I feel I can query anything with them and they will help or find out who can. They see Mum as an individual with a real personality and not just a client. Everyone is polite and takes time to talk to Mum and have a joke with her. She feels involved in the home.

I was reluctant to place Mum in a care home, I now have no worries. Reception is polite, friendly and always helpful with requests for Mum. Nursing, very attentive to the needs and ailments of Mum, calm and friendly. Carers, Mum is quite independent in the mind, the carers acknowledge this in her and are always on hand to help with personal care and other needs. Cleaners, rooms and communal areas are kept exceptionally clean. Mum enjoys all her meals, especially cups of tea and cake, with great variety. The entertainment team are great, Mum enjoys all activities especially trips out. Overall a great care home. I can sleep at night knowing she is being looked after. Thank you.

I love living at St Margaret's and am very well cared for. I really enjoy the activities with friends. It is very fulfilling. The manager and the team support me well.

My mother has been a resident here for almost a year now and is extremely comfortable and content. The facilities are good, the staff are extremely friendly and polite and all this combined gives me great peace of mind that she is being well cared for.

Nana had been in for respite a few times and moved in permanently in April. All the staff are very friendly and welcoming. Making the transition from home to St Margaret's as smooth as possible. Always reassured that Nana is happy and being looked after.

We are delighted with the care he has received. He is closely monitored, so any changes in his presentation, either physical or mental, are observed and dealt with appropriately. He is much less agitated since his admission and benefits from being in the presence of staff and other patients. He particularly enjoys the visiting musicians!

My husband came to St Margaret's Care Home in January, and he has received excellent care. The staff are very friendly and communicate any issues to me. They have also supported me at a very difficult time. I would have no hesitation in recommending St Margaret's to anyone requiring care. I also recognise that my husband is happy by his positive response to staff.

I am at present in the care home and enjoying it. I have been before, and there was no problem in coming back. Everybody is very friendly, and I would come back again, no trouble at all.

The food is very good.

The staff have been very warm and friendly as well as efficient in their duties. It has very good facilities, and they all seem committed to making life interesting for their patients. It has put my mind at ease to know he is getting well looked after.

The staff were wonderful to my gran while at St Margaret's. Thank you for looking after her so well. Everyone was so approachable, the food was delicious, and the care home had a homely feel to it. Would recommend the home.
