I have worked in care all my adult life; I began my career at 18 where I worked in the community delivering care to people in their homes. I then joined a Nursing care home where I worked as a carer for several years and progressed to care practitioner and then to a deputy manager.
I moved from further up North to Colchester in 2024 to be with my husband who is a paratrooper. I have had several roles here at Foxburrow and was promoted as Deputy Manager in 2025. I have a passion for operations and working with people to improve their skills, adhere to excellent ways of working and over all improving the lives and experiences of the residents and their loved ones.
I have worked within the care setting since 2003 where I started caring for individuals in the community, moving into care of individuals with learning disabilities and mental health issues. During this time, I progressed from carer to senior carer.
In 2014 I qualified as a Registered Mental Health Nurse and for several years worked in secure services. However, elderly care has always been where my passion lies, and I returned to care of the elderly in 2020.
In my role as Clinical Lead at Foxburrow Grange my focus is to support the nursing and care staff to provide high-quality, person-centred care to our residents. I am particularly passionate about Dementia care and providing a high standard of end-of-life care.
Mandy has worked at Foxburrow grange for over 10 years, she manages the housekeeping team who are so proud of what they achieve within the Home.
Mandy said that, "Everyday is different but there is nothing more enjoyable than seeing the residents smile and enjoy living at Foxburrow grange, it is like home from home and I want to ensure that myself and my team meet the needs of the residents".
In her spare time, she loves to garden and decorate her home, and to build things. This all keeps her remarkably busy and there is nothing that she likes more, Mandy said “I feel I have the best of both worlds”.
Ruta has worked within the catering department for many years in various settings, she has a reputation for making the best cakes in the industry.
There is nothing more than seeing the enjoyment on the faces of the residents when they eat their meals, they love the birthday cakes all of which are personalised to the person.
Ruta has worked at Foxburrow Grange for 7 years, she has now become the head chef and is loving her new role.
With over 10 years of experience in administration, I have a strong background in organisational management and team support. My career has been driven by a passion for helping teams thrive and providing exceptional service that makes a difference. I recently made the exciting transition to the healthcare sector, where I’m excited to bring my skills and experience to a new field. I’m so pleased to be a part of Outlook Care and contribute to its mission of making a positive impact on lives.
As I navigate this new field, I’m committed to streamlining processes and ensuring effective support for my colleagues, all while focusing on excellent patient care.
Outside of work, I enjoy baking and socialising, and I look forward to growing both personally and professionally in this rewarding environment.
With more than 25 years of experience in maintenance, including 11 years at City Point in London, I take pride in creating safer, more comfortable spaces for residents and staff. My passion lies in finding ways to improve the home environment, ensuring that every space feels warm, inviting, and truly homely. Seeing the joy on residents’ faces when enhancements are made to their rooms is what drives me. From everyday upkeep to strategic improvements, my focus is always on maintaining a safe, welcoming atmosphere for everyone.
I made the decision to change careers in November 2024, moving from the Film and TV industry into the care sector to follow my passion for helping others. In July 2025, I joined the team at Foxburrow Grange as an Activities Coordinator.
With a creative background and a strong belief that life doesn’t stop when you enter a care home, I’m committed to bringing energy, empathy, and meaningful engagement to our residents’ daily lives. I work closely with residents, their families, and the wider care team to ensure every individual feels seen, valued, and supported to live life to the fullest.
For me, compassion, connection, and a friendly smile go a long way—and I’m proud to be part of a team that shares those values.
