Alexandra Court Care Centre

My Mam went to Alexandra Court Care Centre initially for a couple of weeks respite, with a view to staying longer. Unfortunately, her health deteriorated very quickly, which led to her demise on Sunday evening.

We would just like to thank all the staff at the home, for there care, compassion and sincerity, shown to my mother and the rest of our family on this sad occasion.

You are a wonderful team and I would not hesitate to recommend yourselves and the home, to anyone looking for care.

What a lovely atmosphere. Staff all upbeat and extremely helpful. The Manager is at hand to offer support and advice to relatives. So glad my aunty is being looked after by Alexandra Court and its lovely staff.

The care to my mother who suffered dementia was amazing. I could not get over how every single member of staff knew mum and always gave her a cuddle and asked how she was. They had a great understanding of how to care for her personal care and would soon change their approach if mum refused to get washed etc. He clothing was always colour coordinated she never looked anything but her best. I must mention the two activity carers their projects/activities/outings etc were fabulous. They worked so well as a team and watching them with all the residents was a pleasure. Well done to them. I must finish with the dignity mum was given in the quality of life my mum had at the home. I know she loved it. Thank you.

My Mother was in Alexandra Court Care Centre for just over a year. The accommodation is exceptional. The management go above and beyond for the residents. My Mother, unfortunately, became gravely ill in October 2016. The care she received was second to none and always treated with dignity and respect. When my family were called to the home, to say our last goodbyes, we were treated with the utmost respect and they couldn't do enough for my Mum and ourselves. When Mum finally passed away, the staff were truly saddened and the manager and nurses helped us with everything we needed to know regarding Mum's death.

These last few week he has been dying of cancer, such special attention make is easier for us his siblings to make it bearable. Please do not forget a home runs on the carers, please be so pleased and grateful - you have the best.

My Mum sadly passed away earlier this month. She was resident at Alexandra Court for three and a half years. We were very fortunate to find Alexandra Court at our time of need. Residents independence is encouraged with the care and support of staff. We were always shown compassion and support by all members of staff.

We cannot express our thanks and gratitude enough for the care and compassion given to our mum and to us, as a family at a very difficult time. The staff worked extremely hard, nothing was too much trouble and the care they gave was commendable.

The home is managed in a very professional and efficient way. The manager also showed compassion and high level of excellent team leading.

The care my grandma received was amazing, she was well looked after, the staff were friendly, the whole building was clean and there was a lovely atmosphere as soon as you walked in. I can't thank the staff enough who looked after her

My mum was under the care of Alexandra Court for only a brief time. However, in that short period we were met with the kindest of carers, brilliant nursing staff and management. A home I would recommend to anyone including myself. Nothing was ever too much trouble especially when time was of the essence to other residents a very much home from home in fact we called it a Hotel. The food (with a menu) was brilliant, the entertainment provided every day of the week including weekends kept my mum occupied for as long as she was able to partake along with days out and garden fetes in the grounds. All the organising goes to a dedicated behind the scenes staff. A big thank you to all.

We would like to thank all the wonderful staff for the care and support given to our Mother whilst she was at Alexandra Court. It was a weight off our minds to know how well she was looked after and that she was treated with such dignity and respect. At the time she passed away, the family will not forget how we too received truly genuine support and empathy from the same staff.

My father spent the last 1/2 years at the home. Although suffering from dementia and with much affection by the marvellous staff at the home. Not once in this period were we concerned nor questioned his treatment. A most remarkable home whose kindness, professionalism and care should be praised and recognised.
